Mr Shifter (Middlesbrough) Removals and Storage Reviews

Awful experience for My Elderly Mum. She paid for a removal that never took place. Try to keep it brief as its a long story but never received any terms and conditions which apparently we have not kept too. We cancelled with 10 days notice and no further booking made, so no further loss to the Company. I was then advised that a £100 refund on a £380 booking would be made, nothing received.

We paid for the full service which included dismantling beds and wardrobes and rebuilding at the other end and although it wasn’t cheap it was well worth it. The guys were fantastic and couldn’t have done a better job . We were downsizing from a 5 bed to a 4 bed so there was a hell of a lot to move and they managed it in one day . They came 2 days earlier to pack most the stuff ready to go . I couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

We first used Mr Shifter over 30 years ago and when it came to our son moving home only natural to use again. Arrived at time advised , carefully loading room by room, with the same unloading into new home. Very courteous and pleasant, a job well done. Good to see a local company still offering the same great service for over 30 years 👏

I had lived in my house for 45 years and had a lot to move the lovely lads worked their socks off they were friendly, respectful of my property and such hard workers. The whole company is highly recommended.

Mr. Shifter moved our possessions to our current abode four years ago. They made the process easy and stress free, the crew were brilliant. I advised my sister in law to use them in her recent downsize, and she reported that they were excellent, nothing was any trouble to the crew, and that they were polite and respectful. I would recommend Mr. Shifter to anyone, good firm, nice people...

Very polite and respectful of my furniture moves. I've used this company on a few occasions and all I can say is the quality of service we received is well worth every penny. Fantastic group of lads and nothing is too big or too small 😀. Will definitely recommend

Absolutely First Class Service
In October last year we had an emergency to move my parents into new accommodation.
Mr Shifter came to the rescue within a week to move them.
The lads were thoughtful and considerate and professionals to say the least.
They helped in any way they could to put the family at ease.
Would definitely recommend Mr Shifter

The whole team at Mr. Shifters were brilliant, from the initial planning through to the delivery. The Removal team were totally professional, ensuring everything was packed onto the truck carefully and securely. The unloading due to Hurricane Anna proved a huge challenge for the original Removal Team, and were given additional support from other members of Mr. Shifters due to the horrendous conditions. They were fantastic! Thanks hugely for a really great service.

Mr Shifter did a great job helping us with our move. Efficient, careful, professional. Two lovely guys who worked their socks off getting everything right. Highly recommended.

We’ve used Mr Shifter for 3 house moves now as well as for storage. The guys work incredibly hard and nothing is too much. Really nice guys who respect your property and go above and beyond. Would definitely recommend them.

At relatively short notice Mr Shifter moved us from North Yorkshire to Northumberland. The guys arrived early and had everything loaded within 2 hours. They were respectful of our belongings and of the neighbours in the street. Met up with them again after the 2 hour drive - they were waiting for us and then they unloaded everything into each room that we requested. No breakages at all and they even took apart and reassembled the wardrobes for us. Clothes racks were very helpful too. Great guys and a fantastic experience from start to finish. Would definitely use again! Thank you so much!! Brilliant!

I recently used Mr Shifter for my move to a new home which also included a short storage period. Overall, the service was exceptional. The team was incredibly professional and efficient throughout the entire process. They arrived exactly on time and took great care with all my belongings, especially fragile items. Communication from the office staff was also clear. The quote was competitive and transparent with no hidden fees. I highly recommend Mr Shifter to anyone needing a reliable and stress-free moving experience!

A superb service throughout!
From start to finish, the Mr Shifter team made the whole process of moving home swift and easy. We were absolutely delighted with every aspect of the service they provided. To be honest, it’s was an absolute breath of fresh air to have received such a top quality level of customer service, which is rare to find these days. If you are looking for a professional, friendly, most importantly courteous team to move your cherished family items and make your move less stressful then this is the company for you.

Mr Shifter Removals was really excellent from start to finish. They responded quickly to our initial request with a visit and quote. On the day of our move they arrived promptly and packed everything (including plants, and a heavy piano) seamlessly. Also, at our new property, items were quickly placed where we wanted them, and nothing was broken!

I wasn’t moving very far and did not have too much to move. The lads were so very helpful and polite. The whole was done very quickly and they were very respectful of my belongings

All large furniture was covered and the removal men took great care when negotiating through doorways.
I would highly recommend this company.

Very nice way of handling goods while shifting. Competitive price. Ontime pickup and delivery. Thank you for your support.

The information provided before my house move was great. On the day, the team arrived on time. They protected any furniture that needed it. They kept me informed of what they were doing. At my new property, they unloaded everything with care and kept me updated on progress. Everything arrived safely. I would definitely recommend using this service
