Damaged wheels during tyre change
£1000 on tyres and wheels where damaged, all 4 wheels have been scored by the tyre removal process and they tried to say it was lacquer peel after weeks of chasing a solution.
Also after an hour wait first visit they had only changed one tyre and said the wheel nuts was too tight, took them off when I got home and was easily removed, terrible garage wouldn't use again

Wow brilliant I’ve had issues since buying a car from heneage cars and kept being turned away and the mechanic at heneage motors said there was nothing wrong with my car after my son became scared my car was going to topple over ! I looked online and found these guys did free suspension checks they’ve found the problem so quickly got me in same day after having months of back and forth with the dealership and being spoken to like dirt by the garage they use saying nothing was wrong. I’m truly grateful for your help today guys you’ve been amazing from start to finish 😍

I normally don’t leave reviews, but my experience with Grimsby Tyres and Auto Centre was so stressful and upsetting that I feel I need to warn others.
I had broken down in Grimsby after accidentally putting AdBlue into my petrol tank while driving back to Glasgow. I took the car to this garage, and from the very beginning things went wrong. I was first quoted £2,000 for the repair, which I accepted because I had no choice and needed to return home. A few days later, I received a phone call informing me that the price had suddenly increased to £5,500 more, bringing the total to £7,500. I was shocked and felt completely stuck, because I had already paid the initial amount.
When I finally collected my car, the digital dashboard was no longer working. When I asked about it, the person I spoke to — Daniel Scott — was extremely rude and dismissive. He used foul language, told me it had nothing to do with them, and basically told me to take the car and leave. After paying so much money, I never expected to be treated with such disrespect.
On top of that, I was not given any receipts, no breakdown of the work they supposedly carried out, and no parts were shown to me. The payment was made through bank transfer directly to an individual’s name rather than the business, which left me feeling very uncomfortable and unsure about what I was actually paying for.
Overall, this was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had with any garage. I left feeling taken advantage of, disrespected, and without proper documentation for an extremely high bill. I would strongly advise others to be very cautious before dealing with this place.

Had two tyres fitted at grimsby branch. Girl at the desk was watching a film on her phone. Her attitude and the way she speaks to a customer is very unprofessional .also the way she spoke to her male work colleagues was very disrespectful

Atrocious sevice
No - we booked a 12.30 slot today for wheel alignment. This was also confirmed by receptionist at National Tyres, cleethorpes road Grimsby. We arrived in plenty of time. After waiting in reception the gentleman brusquely asked what I wanted and I said we had the 12.30 slot booked for the tracking. He off handedly said it will be 2 hours or more - I said I had come specially for the 12.30 slot. He just shrugged. I obviously was not going to wait for hours. The service is APPALLING and I certainly will be telling everyone. Your staff do NOT care and it shows. Very disallusioned and disappointed with Halfords/ National tyres. Terrible service. I shall be putting a similar review on line. No way would I ever use or recommend you. Managed to go to a reputable , professional firm and got it fixed immediately.

Appalling service
Booked my camper van in online for two tyres. The camper van is a standard panel van conversion Fiat Ducato the same size and weight as any builder or tradesman would use. The size of tyres I ordered will only fit this type of vehicle.
I duly arrived for my 9am appointment at 8.30am and reported to reception. The first employee said what's the weight of the camper? I replied standard 3500kg, second employee says we've only got 2000kg Jacks, I replied if you are doing one axle at a time you will be alright. First employee says it won't go on our ramp but you're not booked in until 9.am you'll have to wait until then.
At 9.07am I drove into the first bay and went into the waiting room. A few minutes later employee 3 came and asked if I had anymore wheel bolts? I said no why? You have got the wrong ones on and I am not comfortable doing it.
I told them to forget it. In the meantime I had rang another local company North Lincs Tyres and took it to them. Wheel bolts were never mentioned and the service was second to none.
I knew as soon as I entered reception that morning they did not want to fit the tyres and there would be a problem invented.
This is not the first instance, they have made a problem with another vehicle of mine I gave them the benefit of doubt.
Never again if I was you steer clear!!!!

**MINUS SCORE - HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE** Cleethorpes Road, GRIMSBY. Tried to order 4 x Avon ZV7 on line but would not allow me, so i phoned the branch and ordered via them. Was given date and time for fitting. I duly turned up for the fitting, they took our vehicle in and about 1 hour later I was told they had fitted 3 tyres however they did not have the 4th tyre. We then arranged for me to attend the next morning at 10 a.m. where i was assured the tyre would be there. As it was a 60 mile round trip for me the Manager agreed a £46 refund (which was nice and duly accepted). I turned up the next morning at 10, I sat in the waiting room until the tyre delivery van turned up at 11.30. Once again a tyre fitter came to speak to me to tell me that my tyre was not on the van. As you can well imagine I was very upset at this as the next day I was going to Scotland very early. And so they left the best 1 of the 4 tyres on the drivers front wheel, and we arranged for me to re-attend on Monday 29/4/24 at 1000 when we arrived back from Scotland. On leaving reception I also noted a female complaining saying "What is the point of having an appointment system when she had been sat in reception 90 minutes and her car was still waiting in the car park" Onto the 29th, I decided to give National tyres a telephone call to ensure they had the tyre in before setting off, Lo and behold I was told yet again that they did not have the tyre in stock (so that was 11 days since originally ordering them). It was once again arranged for me to re-attend at 10 the next morning with the promise that the tyre would be there. I attended the next morning and they had got the tyre in stock but there was still fun and games to be had. The fitter took our car in but then came to ask me where the locking nut was ?, I wasn't aware the wheels had locking nuts on as there is a plate over the wheel nuts, but I had to point out to the fitter that they have already fitted 3 other wheels and so if anything they have lost the locking nut. In the interim I was so hacked off with this company that i told them to put the new tyre in the boot and i would get it sorted at home. As I went to shut the boot I noticed the label on the tyre and it was the wrong size tyre. I was now seething - however another fitter located the correct size, but whilst this calamity was ongoing the fitter had checked the system and a note had been placed on the account as to the whereabouts of the locking nut. I think to myself when they put the wrong tyre in the boot if that had been an elderly person or a female I don't suppose they would have checked the size thereby causing more problems. All in all a Terrible experience. This may not be the case for all National tyre branches but Grimsby certainly need to review their practices. I for one will never use National Tyres again.

Liars...caught in the act.
MOT cancelled on my car on the Wednesday due to the National tyres Grimsby branch had left their decelerometer out in the rain which had broken it. I was told that it was to be repaired and they booked me in on the Friday. On Friday morning I was called with another cancellation due to the equipment not being repaired/replaced. I believe I was lied to based on the next paragraph.
I booked my second vehicle in for MOT (before having these issues) for today, and was called yesterday once again that my MOT appointment is unfortunately cancelled, and yes, it is not only that the decelerometer is not working (still from 4/5 weeks ago) but also that there is a computer system error that hasn't made the booking correctly. Whilst realising that the first 2 excuses were going to fail due to my experience with my other car MOT, the third reason for the cancellation was that they do not do MOT's on Mondays and Tuesdays??? I asked why as I had booked it on the website and didn't get an answer. If customers can book MOT's for a Monday or a Tuesday at the Grimsby branch but they don't in fact do MOT's on those days then that might need sorting out. It doesn't need sorting out because it's a load or tosh.
Absolutely appalling service and a bunch of liars.

The guys at National Tyres and Autocare…
The guys at National Tyres and Autocare have single handedly saved my holiday! I realised this morning I had a flat tyre and am 2 hours away from home on a holiday site with 2 young children, my garage at home always have to order my tyres in normally so I didn’t have much hope and with it being a bank holiday I needed to sort it asap to get home on Monday. I called around a few garages with no luck then contacted National Tyres and Autocare who although were extremely busy told me to come down and they would sort it. They were extremely friendly, helpful and made me feel really welcome. They got my tyre sorted as quickly as they could and have saved me a world of stress. I cannot thank them enough! The price was also extremely reasonable, although I do not live in Grimsby I have family and friends in the area and will definitely recommend them.

The staff are friendly the building looks more like a derelict building it’s not very welcoming it took 2hrs 20 mins to change 2 front tyres and tracking even had to take straight back as the tracking was worse than before they did it the staff were great and tried to rectify it unfortunately I am going to have to take it to another garage to get it tracked as it’s still not right this was the first time I have used them and it will be the last
