From high expectations to physical exhaustion – a warning to others
I was initially very enthusiastic about my stay -mostly based on my first impressions of a very helpful woman named Abi & later on, a young guy Zak -who as well, up to my leaving seemed to be very kind team members!
The Verano Azul complex is beautiful and my contact before arrival with both those persons, gave me even higher expectations. However, these unfortunately were shattered day by day, resulting in the end in a stay, that seriously impacted my health and well-being.
The reality of the apartment:
*Hygiene & Pests: Throughout my stay, I was plagued by drain flies in the bathroom. These specific pests thrive on organic residue left behind in drains due to a lack of proper care on forehand. I spent a permanent amount of my time fighting this infestation, which should have been handled before my arrival. Despite my efforts, the issue remained unresolved as it was a structural hygiene problem caused by previous neglect.
*Electrical Issues: I experienced the fuses blowing at least NINE times in just five days! This was to my belief quite a serious safety concern due to short-circuiting, something I have never experienced elsewhere. However, to the management, it did not seem like a big deal at all to them; it just seemed to be quite normal to the environment -did sent a handyman of some sort. Unfortunately with the language barrière caused even more confusion, he absolutely had no clue what to do with it.
*Property Damage & Denial: After the first wash, my expensive trousers (valued at 100 Euro) were permanently ruined by aggressive bleach residues, likely left behind by a previous guest or cleaner. Although I approached this professionally and did not blame anyone as it most likely was an accident, I provided clear photographic evidence and several emails for insurance purposes. Every rental company should have all-risk insurance, yet Casasol chose to flat-out deny and ignore the situation.
*Extreme Noise Disturbance: I came here for recovery and rest, but was met with heavy renovation work from the immediate neighbors and loud, hours-long mechanical gardening noise.
Customer 'service' -or the absence óf it!
What started as seemingly attentive service turned out to be a facade. I later learned that the communication I received was partly handled by an AI robot (by their messaging service). Once real issues were reported, the human responses became just as dismissive and "robotic/Non-Responsive".
Factual problems were met with blatant denial. The stress and lack of rest caused me to physically collapse with fever and fainting spells, eventually forcing me even to extend my stay, just to be fit enough to travel!
Casasol may seem professional on the surface, but they lack accountability and genuine empathy. If you value your peace of mind, your property, and your health, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere!
