I have just been to Timaru New World for the 2 nd time this week and still not been able to buy either your Pam gluten free bread or the Burgen white gluten free bread, I also came 3 times last week as well but not able to buy any as nothing is out on the shelf, I did ask if the buying team would ring me last week, to see what your mins were set at but no one bothered to get in contacted with me, I am not the only person calling in multiable times a week to be able to buy some. It’s hard enough having being allergic to many products but very frustrating never to be able to buy the bread I can eat. I do support New World but feeling very disappointed in the stocks of some products.

If you don’t have a receipt, which I never take, they will not exchange an item without a receipt - bought item night before and noticed at home it was the wrong item and without receipt they did not wanted to exchange the next morning - absolutely ridiculous - a few other people had complained about New World not wanting to exchange an item and I always thought this can’t be true until I experienced it myself

New World. Where to start... Very very poor and Foodstuffs know they're doing it. About 1/8 packets of meat are off before the use by date (note proper fridge storage the whole time). They gi e you the run around when you send them photos and dates of purchase etc. They refuse to answer simple questions like 'who is the supplier'. They refuse to communicate properly. Their customer service policy is to blame somebody else and give you the run around. Not only that but I have seen staff at various stores be abusive to customers including being physically threatening people. When I reported this, it was totally ignored. Most staff are just trying to do their jobs, the problem is direction from Foodstuffs and management. It seems part of a plan to squeeze people and then gaslight them. I'm sure some locations are good but central management refuse to address systemic problems. They also overprice products AND many of their products are 'shaved' I.e. are not the weight that is said on the thing or don't contain the amount on the box. Terrible company, greedy gaslighters.

New World stores are generally very clean, it’s easy to find quality products and the prices are fair. Our Greenmeadows store trains their staff well. Staff are both pleasant and helpful. The checkouts work well.
I love that one can accrue points on Flybuys or Airpoints and that they have a good yearly goodie promotion. Please bring back the knife sets! They were excellent quality knives, they are the best knives I have.

Mosgiel New World... I shop early and am sick of like today one side of freezer cabinets totally empty and still being serviced. Barely able to move in there for stackers. All this should and used to be done before store opened. There is going to be a accident in there one day with those long steel trolly's stackers use. Had a few close calls and the day one hits me is the day I will bring in Work Safe. They should not be able to open until store is fully serviced.

Pam's agria caked in mud,advertised as brushed

No packing assistance for me as elderly and handicapped.
Tub of mussels packed upside down.
No thought to how heavy they were making the bags for me to lift.
Lack of cheaper brands such as Pams.

Love new world Matamata always helpful, especially the butchery. You get greeted with a smile l love shopping there

Been big rip off, smeg & masterchef been out of stock but this new world got told by on the news that said promise won't happened again this year about out of shock again since smeg but masterchef frypan been out of shock again so never get replace since smeg age ago so this business is a lie that when new world manager did promise us. Countdown is the best! Waste our time for nothing. BIG RIP OFF! Also big rip off in this supermarket anyway, so expensive than other supermarket. Never come back again!

More than three weeks ago I called New World complaint lane (head office) to request callback regarding to my complaint about the poor customer communications and service I had with local new world store about their Master chief’s campaign this year 2023. However, waited for two weeks no one calls from the leadership team and then I called their complaint lane again and second staff advise someone will call me back asap regarding to the matter and waited for another week still no calls, even this time they emailed me my complaint reference email. Now, waited for more three weeks no calls and no products left in while wellington stores except the Kitchen Utensils. The lesson I learnt here is New World does not care their customers and no need to buy their expensive products (other brand supermarkets average are cheaper) to collect the stickers for any of their marketing campaigns, because when you try to claim the products they don’t have them any way before the campaign expires date, by saying “limited stock”, very very limited stocks. Not worth to spend extra money to try to collect their stickers in future but stay with normal shopping habits and shop with other supermarkets when have good deals.

I'm a everyday shoppers New world and happy about quality but yes bit pricey.
Staff mostly helpful otherthan few or school holidays students really not welcoming at checkouts but understandable they are just earning pocket money not really interested in skills but not all of them.
I'm still a happy shopper till yesterday but today in the morning when I want to redeem my materchef cookware and GUESS WHAT it's Over
Wow I spend hell lot of money and effort to come to a point to redeem it for what I wanted and it's OVER.
I really wish to Dejawo this moment and forget this actually Happened 😪 😕 😔 I saved 73 stickers $1460 spend for nothing, I couldn't digest it but now I'm over these mouth watering unfortunate deals. So thanks and good bye and I'll be back to my
e-Vouchers and more promising definitely delivered.

Dodgy online shopping from this store. For the most part its usually okay but have had more than one instance now of them attempting to get away with charging for a certain net gram weight while actually sending out a product half that weight. I guess they thinking because its online delivery people won’t kick up a fuss.

They are on the right side of being a bit expensive but then they are known for that being the case. I still use them for few things that I go to them more. I will still rate them with 5 stars.

Orewa new world. I popped in they didn't have what I wanted I was stopped and had the exit blocked by Steve. He said you didn't buy anything I want to look in your bag. I said there is nothing in it you didn't have what I wanted. He insisted continued to Block the exit until I opened my empty bag. No apology from Steve no recognition he got it wrong. Goodbye Steve I am no more one of your loyal honest customers. You got it so wrong.

Twice this month the web stated product in stock - but IT WAS NOT and talking to staff it's not been in stock for months!

I recently visited a New World supermarket in Auckland and was very impressed with the customer service I received. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, and they were willing to go the extra mile to help me find what I was looking for. A staff member named Michael helped me find a specific brand of coffee that I was looking for, even though it wasn't on the shelf. He was only young but displayed a work effort that is not commonly seen these days. He was a definite credit to the New World team.

I was also impressed with the quality of the products at New World. The produce was fresh and well-stocked, and the meat and seafood departments were also very impressive. I found that the prices at New World were competitive, and I was able to find everything I needed for my shopping trip.

Overall, I had a very positive experience at New World. The staff were friendly and helpful, the products were high quality, and the prices were competitive. I would definitely recommend New World to anyone looking for a good supermarket experience in New Zealand.

I conducted our weekly shopping last night. As I approach check out I heard a staff member call out for the the shop manager. He came over to me and ask to look through my bag. Shocked and surprised, I consented, from that moment he began reading his voice openly discrimating against me in constantly " I know people like you, your a theft???? Numerous times, this was infront of 8 other staff, he belittle me and wouldn't allow me to explain or show the reciepts I had from contain that verified payment of the neterials in my bags. I couldn't believe what was happening and left the store as the videos he d denied me to see showed nothing but me shopping for food. I lived a supermarket so distraught and so humiliated that my husband waiting for me quickly came to my aid I couldn't believe what I just happened. Not only was the night manager discriminating he was racist he started to discriminate against my Maori culture and saying I know people like you he was unaware that my husband and I are highly respected people and our community to see a person of managerial role demonstrate in front of his staff unprofessional practise he was intimidating me to the point where he was ripping my bags tipping them upside down and shouting it mean. Other staff had a agreed that his behaviour was a bit extreme. The main issue was a $3 cheese have fell into the bag of the goods and services I brought at countdown he didn't want to see the receipt and advise me that I was banned for two years. Unaware to his knowledge I suffer with medical diagnosis of mental health he had treated me so bad that I have not left the house since and he has trickled me into a sense of darkness why did he use stereotype terms to discriminate against me and not give me the freedom of speech why did he not want to see my receipts. He took my husband upstairs my husband saw the cameras and they revealed me putting the cheese and some syrimi selling my other shopping bag by mistake with full intention to pay for it. I am going to make a formal complaint. And exposed this racist unprofessional store manager who by the way doesn't know the impact of his behaviour has left me feeling depleted defeated and not able to shop at my favourite store how.can.you world condone such behaviour at a managerial level. He told me his surname was Rush and that he told me to if off to f*** off numerous times because I tried to give her my receipt I am still upset Emma light to see this man see beheld 4 has behaviour and responsibility taken in disciplinary matters. That's in no way to treat anybody anytime where we need to come together and be more kinder to vulnerable people like myself in our community. I will not rest until this man has been held accountable I have emailed my experience to breakfast good morning in the hope that my experience can be published in demonstrating that racism is still everywhere and where is the community must stop this

Having recently switched from the ghastly “Unmentionable” competitor, couldn’t be happier with the level of customer service provided by New World in particular Victoria Park & Queen Street Auckland CBD.
Deliveries are always on time, quality produce, friendly staff willing to assist with any queries and quality in store promotions - I see you KitchenAid ovenware!!
Also appreciate that feedback via Survey has resulted in a change for the better regarding staff safety at Queen St store.
Special mention goes to Pam K of Queen St - such a friendly chill person, which is sometimes needed when frazzled at the end of a busy day. She can answer an array of questions related to her wealth of product knowledge, while running a till and sole charge of her area - she truly is a Star amongst the concrete jungle of Queen St.
Have spent A LOT this month at New World & couldn’t be happier. :D
