Great experience buying my first home with New Homes Law. Communication was good and the team made the process stress free. Would recommend to anyone looking to buy a home!

The buying process in itself was very quick,and timely. As a first time buyer,limited time and resources I am grateful that I was connected with NewHomesLaw.
Even though, we started on the wrongfoot, I could rely on the job they did.
At times I would ask a question, but would not any answer then, however, they always come back, in due course.
I also appreciate the human connection I felt in Lauren who most of the times happened o take my calls and made me feel a lot better than when I called, always listening and polite and supportive.

My experience with The New Home Law Ltd started off very positively. At the beginning, everything was going smoothly, and the communication was clear, prompt, and reassuring.
However, halfway through the process, the solicitor handling my case left the company, and I was not informed about this straight away. A new solicitor was assigned to my case, which I understood, but unfortunately the level of communication was not the same. It felt less consistent and not as proactive as before.
Overall, while the initial service was excellent, the change in handling and communication impacted my experience.

Very helpful and made my dream come true in getting my first home. Slight issue: regular updates would be handy just to reassure your customers, even if it’s just an acknowledgement (although I do understand the solicitors must be very busy behind the scenes without you realising!) Otherwise, very professional :)

It was the best service, Im a first time buyer and it only took the solicitors 3 weeks to sort out my mortgage documents from start to completion, theyre all lovely and i couldnt be happier. Very professional and well put together.

Mixed feelings about this company to be honest.
We were told at the start that we’d have one dedicated case worker so we wouldn’t have to speak to multiple people, but I spoke to our case worker once at the very start and never again. After that I spoke to Millie, who was incredibly helpful and friendly, James, who was also very helpful, Lauren, Jack and Denise. The lady who answers the phone is shocking!! She barely greets you, she forgot their company name once when answering the call, sounds half asleep or bored and is actually quite rude.

The communication between the team wasn’t great and several times we’d sent documents and they couldn’t locate them or we were being chased by one person after already having confirmation from another. It was quite frustrating but we got there in the end with constant chasing and following up on our end, and Millie and James were particularly helpful and friendly!

Great, friendly service particularly from Toni Baker who was always available to speak to me. Their advice was detailed explaining the whole shared ownership process. Prompt replies to emails or phone queries. Excellent price for the conveyancing. I would highly recommend.

I had a very frustrating experience with Newhomes Law regarding a property purchase in Chelmsford. After the developer delayed the project, I was forced to pull out before the exchange of contracts.
Despite no exchange taking place, the firm charged a disproportionately high 'abortive fee' that did not reflect the actual work completed. Furthermore, the firm requested my full deposit months before a confirmed exchange date, causing me a loss of interest while they held my funds unnecessarily.
Communication was extremely poor throughout; it was nearly impossible to get through via telephone, and it frequently took weeks to receive a response to urgent emails.
I have now received a Letter of Deadlock and am escalating this matter to the Legal Ombudsman. I would advise other buyers to be very cautious before instructing this firm.

All the staff without exception have been helpful, polite and kept us informed at every stage. A benchmark that other conveyancers should strive to achieve. Well pleased

Very good service

My partner and I are first time movers - we had absolutely no idea how the process worked, what would be expected of us, what we needed, nothing!

We were set up with Grace from New Homes Law, who was so incredibly polite, patient, and helpful. She answered every question we had, was able to go the extra mile to help us with all of our enquiries, and made what could've been a daunting process all that much easier.

Now, after a few months, we're finally settled into our new forever home, but I'll forever be grateful for Grace - and New Homes Law - for their expertise and guidance, and if I ever find myself moving again, then I'll definitely refuse to use anyone else but them!
