Nice Airport Reviews 

I would like to submit a formal complaint regarding the extremely poor management of passport control at Nice Côte d’Azur Airport T1 and the unacceptable treatment I experienced there.

On March 12th at approximately 3pm, there was only one passport control desk open while there was a huge queue of around one hundred passengers. The situation was completely disorganised and badly managed, creating significant stress for passengers and putting many of us at real risk of missing our flights.

There was also a female staff member who appeared to be managing the queue. Instead of handling the situation in a professional and supportive manner (I mentioned to her I have a flight now and I’ll be late to go through queue faster she wanted to send me to the end of the queue), she was running around creating confusion and complaining about passengers to the police desk, particularly about me. She was also shouting at me in front of many other passengers.

As a result, the policeman at the passport control window refused to allow me to proceed through passport control, even though my flight was already boarding and I was at serious risk of missing it. The policeman was also raising his voice and speaking to me in a very rude and disrespectful way in front of everyone in the queue.

This behaviour felt extremely rude, disrespectful and humiliating. Instead of assisting passengers in a difficult situation caused by the very long queue, I felt I was treated unfairly and singled out without justification. I was almost too late for my flight and only managed to board at the very last moment.

It is unacceptable for an international airport to operate passport control with such limited capacity and allow behaviour that makes the situation even worse for passengers.

I kindly ask you to review this incident and explain:

- why only one passport control desk was open despite the extremely large queue,
- who the female staff member managing the queue was,
- why she was complaining about passengers to the police instead of assisting them,
- why I was prevented from proceeding through passport control while my flight was boarding,
- what measures will be taken to prevent this type of behaviour and mismanagement from happening again.

Ground staff at gate for departing passenger, they are rude and shouting passenger to board. As a family with young kids we stay in with the same staff for passport and boarding pass check, the other staff keep shouting to call the next passenger. My partner didn’t approach because we stay as a family. Staff said my partner refuse boarding and not allow to board. They tried to keep all our passports and close the gate door. The worst airport staff ever met!

Énormément de sdf qui dégagent une odeur nauséabonde. C’est vraiment pas agréable pour les personnes qui attendent à l’arrivée et on se sent pas en sécurité le soir.

Des retards très fréquents, des prix de boissons et nourritures très élevés, le personnel du bar de l'aérogare 2 se tourne les pouces alors qu'il y a plein de tables à débarrasser. Vous associez à cela des bancs très durs en bois et le fait qu'on ne comprends rien quand ils hurlent dans les haut-parleurs. C'est vraiment nul pour une aéroport international.

Prenant énormément l’avion et vivant à Nice, il s’agit clairement d’un des pires aéroport au monde. Si ce n’est le pire.
Des retards constants, un manque de personnel et des grèves des contrôleurs aériens permanent rendent l’expérience globale au mieux honteuse.

This was appauling. Ive aged 30 years waiting in this pissing line. Not only have I been overtaken by a brainless child that locked himself in a toilet but I have moved 4 metres in the last 40 minutes. Worst border control i’ve ever been through, would appreciate rescue.

Only flight arriving and now waiting over an hour for the luggage.

L'aeroport est neuf dans beaucoup de zones, gastronomie de qualité notemment mais les entreprises qui opèrent autour ont des tarifs spécialement salés, je pense notamment aux loueurs de voiture ^^

J’en ai vu des idiots mais là on est sur la crème. Entre la règle de 3 passages par 24h coulants pour le dépose minute qu'il faut leur apprendre et l’assistance a la borne de sortie du dépose minute qui est irrespectueux impolie et j’en passe, c’est vraiment fort

bonjour, une fois par an je pars à Nice pour raison familiale, et à chaque fois je fais le triste constat du manque d 'aimabilité de votre personnel surtout lors du passage au contrôle de sécurité, arrogance, et très désagréable je me demande quels sont vos critères de sélection?

Shocking airport. Rude staff, disgraceful customer service, hideous business class lounge where staff are handling food with their bare hands. Absolute joke, I urge people to be wary of the ‘business class’ experience from this airport. Terminal 2 may be better but terminal 1 is dirty and awful.

Hier soir à 21h00 une bagarre a éclaté entre sdf au niveau des arrivées au terminal 1.
C’est une honte pour un aéroport international, de voir autant de sdf qui essaye de vous voulez ou vous demander de l’argent, l’aéroport es salle et j’ai même vu des rats. Honteux !

what a joke for top airport of french riviera

we were all (students and me) absolutely satisfied with our accommodation, meals and me as a teacher - with the time host families spent talking to them.
Personally, my host family, Tom and Izabel Fitzimons together with their children were really kind to me, generous to my wish go for a run and have dinner afterwards. I am thankful for their willingness to share the evenings with me and talking about any topic that came up. The meals were always great and the room was nice, tidy, cosy.

If I could rate this security a 0 I would. Meanest staff ever who clearly hasn’t gotten laid because why else are you this rude to others. I got YELLED at and wasn’t even allowed to touch my own bag. Not one to judge but these people were also not lookers to be yelling at a young woman. Took away my sardines that I purchased for my family bc they “weren’t allowed” mind you all three of my friends brought their sardines through. Also no explanation whatsoever as to why I couldn’t bring it. As I was crying because a grown man was rummaging through my belongings not letting me touch my own bag he proceeds to say “no need to cry”. Rude security. Awful help. No sympathy. Bye Nice 💝.

Awful facilities. Been improved apparently so very shiny and lots of bright shops selling overpriced items. Food choice is repetitive to say the least and doesn’t reflect the multinational requirements of an airport. Quality of the food was poor and expensive (impossible to find a roll that wasn’t hard or stale). People flying to UK are now herded into a second rate part of terminal 2 with no return - don’t go through until you have to it is awful!!!!

Aeroport en perdition...
Quand vous arrivez en zone non sheingen, vous êtes parqué dans des bus avec des conducteurs ignobles qui attendent pour partir, qui attendent pour ouvrir les portes...on est considéré comme du bétail alors que vous avez payé un billet plus cher que ailleurs car la chambre de commerce qui gère cette aéroport a des taxes plus élevées que n'importe quel aéroport : regardez le détail d un billet et vous en aurez la preuve.
Plus de 30 à 45 mn pour récupérer des valises si vous avez le malheur de arriver un peu tard.
