They used to be great, then they were good now they are useless. The overall interface is dated and the functionality is like a 2010 website/app. But the worst area they seemed to have shifted 180 degree is customer service. There is no way to contact them other than chat or email with the usual low quality first line agents that tell you they can't help you but will let the higher ups know. No direct contact or even team members looking after your account. Oh and if you want to withdraw money that's where they will decline over and over requesting documents that have been uploaded many times, claiming they are too old even though they are from the same day. It will take weeks to get a simple withdrawal to go through as their boomer system takes 1-3 business days for each step in the way to your withdrawal. In the end you will waste hours in chat and email and a few weeks later maybe have your money. Compared to other brokers where the money is transferred instantly. Instant transfer at Oanda only works if you deposit, they like taking your money, no documents needed.

Oanda has such amazing customer support. They're always online and willing to spend the time to ensure you understand their responses and have your questions/matters resolved.
In a competitive market of brokers, it's these sort of features that make them stand out against the others.

I spent many months trading with Vantage however I gave OANDA a chance after being disappointed by Vantage multiple times. If you have traded CFDs for any time at all you would have definitely heard of Vantage or perhaps even traded with them.
The first issue I had with Vantage is that, like all CFD brokers, they would not disclose their spreads on executed trades so when I asked my account manager (not going to name anyone) how much I was paying he said we don't know and cannot say. I explained to him that's like owning a business and expecting a customer to pay for something without telling them what they paid. Like all brokers they will give you an indicative spread however they do not guarantee you are executing your trades on that spread.
When I switched to OANDA I receive full statements showing what I am paying in spread costs. OANDA is able to do this because they do not separate their clients on a 'A' Book and 'B' Book system, rather they put all trades through to the market. This also means they are not trading against you and only make money from your trading volume rather than your losses.
The above also means that your savings a safer with OANDA than with another CFD broker as the risk of the company going broke is almost zero as they would not have to use your deposit to pay someone else's profits.
The other drama I had with Vantage that I have not experienced with OANDA is slippage on news events. With OANDA the orders are far more reliable and you are even able to set a Guaranteed Stop Loss Order which guarantees your exit price! Not sure how OANDA funds this but they do and I have never seen anyone other broker offer it.
Finally the customer service with OANDA is superb, shoutout to my account manager David Villagra. Most brokers will give you an account manager however most will give you a half hearted service. David goes beyond his job's requirements and has helped OANDA secure my business for life.
Give OANDA a shot if you are not already trading with them, you will not regret it.
