stabbed in the back
this company employed me as head chef for a ne retsaurant venture (mennoos kookerij), in groningen.
i was tasked with recruiting a restaurant manager and sous chef, which, after some time, was acheived.
however, these two people that i had chosen for the respective positions, got together behind my back and persuaded the company that it would be better if i was replaced due to my dutch not being good enough, after 3 months learning, from people who have been learning english for most of their lives.
the company surprisingly went aling with this, leaving me in a very difficult personal situation, which has deteriorated since, affecting my relationship with my children and general wellbeing.
to make matters worse, it was agreed at the beginning that there would be no former colleagues, as a new venture it would be all new people.
as soon as i was gone i was replaced by the new restaurant managers former chef colleague with whom she had worked for a long time, clearly planned all along.
unpleasant behavior for a company that delivers care.
