If I could give 0 starts I would.
It has taken over 8 months to get the funds from my pension transferred over to my new fund, and that was only after threats of contacting the Ombudsman. Options have appalling customer service, emails go unanswered for months. After 6 months I was told a form hadn't been filled in - they waited 6 months to tell me this! They told me they hadn't received forms from my current pension fund when the pension fund had posted and emailed to them on more than one occasion.
When I had my pension with them I decided to place a lump some into my pension pot, this took them over 4 months to transfer into, even though they were constantly chased to find out where the money was.
Terrible company, do not use.

Absolute joke of a company, taking weeks to reply to emails, don't answer their phones and just generally mothballing the whole process of transferring pensions...

Hard to put into words how disgraceful this company is , I've been waiting on my pension being transferred out of options since Mid July told it could take up to 8 weeks , it's now been over 12 .... they don't answer calls or emails I can just about accept it takes time to transfer but the lack of communication and blatant ignoring of my attempts to contact them is utterly shameful , I just have to hope one day it is actually transferred

So far waited 10 month to transfer my pension to another company.
But what worries me the most is Options have closed two of my schemes by mistake and do not know where the money is.
Impossible to get any answers and very difficult to get hold of them.
Have reported to the ombudsman so hopefully they can help.

Been waiting 12 weeks to transfer my pension and still waiting. Stay away very poor reviews.

Taken me 2 years to try and transfer my pension finally done but would never use them again. Communication is terrible and I think they just hope people forget and don't bother trying to move their money. Took me going to the regulator to get anywhere

I have tried calling them -they don't answer the phone. I have emailed them three times. NO REPLY. I'M TRYING TO DO A PENSION TRANSFER.

I see there has been some mixed review for Options Pensions on here - well, those people probably never dealt with Daniella Federico who has been excellent to deal with. Very quick replies, knowledgeable and I managed to make a SIPP contribution with her help almost immediately and had the funds applied for dealing within hours of first contact with her. It can take a good week or more with my former SIPP provider and other firms too. Thank you Daniella !

Absolutely rubbish please don’t use this company they are the worst pension company out there! They have been holding on to our pension payment for 5 months now with no reason. Asked us to jump through hoops with paper work and stopping contributions with payroll to be told they still won’t pay out! Diabolical and they need to be investigated by the ombudsman!

My entire company of around 170 people recently moved to a new pension provider, most of whom sent the required forms to Options in order to transfer in February. Only in the last few days (six months later) have the first of us had our funds transferred, several of whom had to chase Options before any action was taken.

I personally emailed them last week hoping for the same; I was told my transfer had not taken place because my date of birth was missed on one of the forms. This was six months after I had sent it and Options had made no effort to contact me to inform me of the error. They must have known as well, since their response was almost immediate; meaning they had noticed the error and then sat on the form for six months, presumably waiting for me to ask what was going on. Avoid.

Transferred my pension out of them due to terrible performance, took a long time. They require a lot of paperwork, I completed it and the transfer took 6-8 weeks, in the end they didnt include the payment reference so it got returned so had to request again. Its a poor company that offers poor products, you should avoid.

Took 16 weeks to sort out pension. Not a massive amount but needed to tide over whilst waiting for surgery.

No acknowledgment of receipt of paperwork and no updates unless I phoned, Staff were personable on phone, however I was half expecting to be told “That the dog ate your paperwork.

I have been trying since November to transfer my pension from Options to Royal London. After several emails and completing paperwork which they keep stating they haven't received even thought its been done via email. I am still no nearer to having my pension transferred. I am getting fed up now of this and my next is to inform the FCA Ombudsman. Absolutely shocking service! Keep away at all costs.

Its now 13/9/2024 and I still havent heard anything or had my pension transferred!

Wish there was an option to give less than 1 star. They are absolute crap May it be with Investment of your funds, their Platform, transparency or customer services!
No one bothers to reply your emails. If you call them you need to wait for an hour in the queue before you get attended!
When I’m trying to Transfer out my pensions they are taking more than 3 months asking me to fill Scam questionnaire for the new provider.
That’s a joke. Because Options pension themselves are Scamsters.

My new pension provider has been trying to get my pension deinvested from Options since December 2021.

They have now transferred some funds but there is £800 shortfall.

They are refusing to send me the money so I'm now making an application to small claims court because this robbing company can not get away it stealing people's money disgusting!!!

Options stole my money! I had a small fund from a previous employment which was left there for 9 years. They charged an "administration fee" per annum which turned out to be over 10% of the fund value. There was less money than I put in after 9 years. Pensions are a con and these people are the pits. Just stealing money.

I was forced to use this pension company by the umbrella company I was working through, I stopped all contributions when they were not showing up on their website (3 months wait to gain access) I was told they only credit contributions to your account once every three months !! since then its been an ongoing nightmare dealing with them, after 6 months I finally gained access to the website and started the procedure to transfer to another provider, after months of tortuous communication they sent me an email saying the transfer would occur on the 21st June, it didnt, and since then theyve disabled my access to their website again and totally ignored all communication. How do these people live with themselves, ripping off pensioners. I suggest everybody contacts the pensions regulator and the pensions ombudsman, its outrageous the authorities do nothing about this company.
