Opus is not to be trusted - they will treat you like garbage
Was contacted by Sam Hindle on Monday about a Dynamics 365 contract opportunity with Nick Denye at AB Foods. I responded saying I am interested and sent an updated CV. Got confirmation the same day that AB Foods wanted to interview me on Wednesday. Sam sent me some info the day before the interview to help prepare and asked I should let him know how the interview went afterwards. I had the interview with Nick and phoned Sam afterwards as asked. There was no answer. I then sent him an email with an update. Friday morning I emailed Sam asking whether he has received any feedback and received no reply. I then emailed Nick directly explaining the situation, asking for an update and got no response either. Reading all the other reviews on here, I now see that ghosting candidates is the norm at Opus.
Chris Peel CEO sent jobseekers to work for criminals then tired to covered it up
Chris Peel, currently the CEO, previously served as the MD of Interserve Learning & Employment. During his tenure, the company sent job seekers to work for individuals ( Environmental Concern Ltd Birmingham, Environmental Concern Ltd were taken to court by the Environmental Agency for dumping hazard's waste and pleaded guilty ) who made them illegally dismantle LCD TV screens, exposing them to toxic inorganic mercury vapours. Chris Peel was informed of this and took steps to cover it up by not informing the job seekers breaking the law. Liam Byrne MP was also made aware of the situation and also broke the duty of care law by not making the information public and refused to pass the complaint to the Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman (PHSO) why ?
Condescending violent bastards
Condescending violent bastards, probably British state organised terrorism
Could be Spam
They sent me a list of questions to answer, which I did. My concern was they sent me a rejection email from a gmail.com account. That is a big red flag!
this company should be shut down
this company should be shut down. i have been in recruitment for 6 years and i joined opus and left within a month. they send peoples cv's to thousands (this isnt inflated) of hiring managers which im pretty sure is illegal. they treat everyone like sh*t and the leadership are terrible. they just waffle "private equity" buzz words. They also rip clients off. My advice would be to ask what all the margins are on contractors. the cfo openly told us to "steal margin"
Our experience with Opus Recruitment…
Our experience with Opus Recruitment Solutions has been an absolute nightmare. When issues arose during the engagement, they were quick to absolve themselves of any responsibility, claiming to be merely a middleman between their contractors and us. This lack of accountability was extremely frustrating and unprofessional.
The web developer they introduced not only performed poorly but also repeatedly attempted to bypass Opus by proposing direct engagement with us. When we declined this proposal, the quality of work suffered significantly, and the project was left incomplete. The website was poorly developed, and we were forced to hire another developer to finish the job properly.
If you are considering working with Opus Recruitment Solutions—DON’T! This has been one of the worst professional engagements we've ever experienced. Save yourself the headache and look elsewhere.
Unprofessional and Poorly Managed Recruitment Process
I’ve had a terrible experience with this recruitment agency. From the very start, there was a clear lack of communication and transparency. Promises to follow up were repeatedly made but rarely kept, leaving me in the dark for long stretches of time. Despite my proactive efforts to chase updates, I was met with vague excuses and delays, with no real sense of urgency or professionalism.
The agency also appeared completely disorganised. Meetings with the hiring manager were postponed multiple times, and the recruiter struggled to even connect with them properly. Instead of being an advocate for me as a candidate, they seemed indifferent, failing to prioritise my application or expedite the process in any meaningful way.
Overall, this experience has been frustrating, to say the least. I wouldn't recommend working with OPUS; there are plenty of recruitment agencies that maintain better standards.
Shockingly bad
Total lack of communication.
No job information.
Don't waste your time lining their pockets, go to a decent agency who will value your skill set.
CAUTION - be wary
CAUTION - be wary of Opus
Contacted by Simon following an application, positive conversation. Convinced me that CV needed to be re-written professionally at a hefty cost, then ghosted ever since. Not 100% sure it's a racket, but very suspicious and definitely unprofessional.
Terrible experience with this agency…
Terrible experience with this agency time and time again. Ben Ault posts jobs which are a 100% match but doesn't respond to emails or LinkedIn messages. Don't waste your time with this agency. I certainly won't be using them to recruit for my teams!
Never had a good experience...
Never had a good experience with this recruitment agency. Their recruiters would email me jobs but never respond to emails or phone calls. Call their HQ would always go to voicemail. Does this company actually exist?
A recruitment agency that has multiple…
A recruitment agency that has multiple offices yet has a direct to voicemail answering service never leaves a good impression. I have had them reach out to me as a jobseeker on a number of occasions overselling an opportunity. When asking for basic information about salary, location they ghost you and don't have the courtesy to reply. I would not recommend dealing with them unless you enjoy wasting your time and effort.
UK business model from < Y2K, and even breaks the law
They cold call (repeatedly). They use a db of scraped information, which contains contact info that is not or no longer publicly available. In this case my private phone number. They called again after i previously indicated i do not want them to do that. Which means they are breaking the law.
In their introduction they refered to a job position i was in > 6 months ago, so they don't even do a check before they call.
And the icing on the cake: i told them i am currently sick at home, and they just continued asking questions about my current occupation etc. Insane way of working and needs to be stopped.
I worked with them to hire an engineer…
I worked with them to hire an engineer more than a year ago. Since then, they haven't stopped spamming me and calling me on weekends and in the evenings. I keep telling them that I DO NOT WANT any calls or anything, and I keep blocking their numbers, but they keep calling me from new numbers. I have blocked more than 10, and they persist. Not only that, but their service is terrible. After I hired an engineer using their services, they had this clause in the contract stating that if the engineer leaves within the first 30 days, they would replace him for free. On the very first day after that period, THEY started tempting him with new offers!
This company is a menace to the industry and embodies the very reason why people despise recruiters! Their behavior has escalated into harassment. NEVER WORK WITH THEM!!!

It seems like there's a reason they're delisted from reviews on Google! They don't want the bad reviews! Seem like a really shady company, from what I've found a lot of their listings don't seem real. Its really hard to get recruiters to respond to your messages too, I'm not sure if they're genuine profiles or not. I wish I had found other similar experiences first and read other reviews first before wasting time.

They illegally obtaint my contantactinfo and more. They tried calling, texting; this is illegal and herrassment.
Fake Scam Ads
I was called for multiple positions, which, upon further discussion, turned out to be nonexistent or vastly different from what was advertised. This not only wasted my time but also raised serious concerns about the agency's integrity.
Effectively the worst recruitment…
Effectively the worst recruitment company on the market an accolade they seem to be proud of. Fake jobs, unable to get any response and when I made a complaint about specific recruiters the Managing Director dismissed the complaint citing that he "doesn't talk to specific recruiters about problems".
Waste of time
Keep spamming me with jobs that are not relevant. Have asked them to stop emailing me and requested to be removed from their database so many times that I have lost count.
Spammed with emails after unsubscribing
Constant spamming of new job descriptions for months after requesting being taken off the distribution list. Most vacancies are not even relevant to what I was looking for.
I am being overwhelmed by emails from 4 recruiters, at least once a day after contacting the privacy email address to unsubscribe multiple times. I never respond and have resorted to blocking the four agents that are spamming me.
