Awful refresh
Absolutely awful service. They have had a ‘new refresh’ to make it easier/better to commute into London but got rid of the express services from London to Oxford and are only running two express services in the morning Oxford to London which means it takes even longer to get home. They’ve reduced the number of buses so they are always packed in the evenings. WiFi and charging ports never work.
The worst
I've been taking this bus every day for two years. The WiFi never works properly, no more than 10 minutes. Most of the time it's absent altogether. It's always cold, and the heating never kicks in. Buses break down every week. I was on the bus that caught fire, and on another one, the door wouldn't close, leaving us standing on the highway in January waiting for the next one to pick us up. The drivers absolutely don't care about passengers, driving like it's their first time.
Excellent service
Excellent service . My son uses this service regularly as a student , to come home . Buses are on time . Reasonable price and has always felt safe . He sometimes gets the bus in the early hours of the morning to return back to university. Thank you .
Inefficient
On 17/12/25, I lost a brand new item on route 600 after the bus broke down and passengers were transferred to another bus; the bus was almost empty, I was sitting in the middle of the lower deck, no new passengers boarded, and despite these clear circumstances and the presence of CCTV, the item was never recovered. This shows a clear inefficiency in the handling of lost property, as the item could not reasonably have disappeared and no effective process appears to exist for tracing missing belongings, which is incredibly disappointing (reference: 02073169).
Excellent value-for-money trip.

Less stressful as there's no Peak or Off-Peak restrictions plus the 10-15 minute frequency. Will definitely use again 😊!!!

The bus has no heating and it’s 3C today, stuck in traffic in West London - absolutely freezing. Would have appreciated if the driver had advised there was no heating as would have happily waited for the next coach.
( been travelling from abroad and this is a nightmare end to my 12 hour journey)
Really helpful driver
I recently got the Oxford tube with a heavy double buggy and twin babies. The driver, Phil Sharp, was incredibly helpful. I watched throughout the journey as he helped many people. At one point, he got off the bus to help an elderly lady who looked confused at where she had got off. I will also be emailing head office, as this driver went above and beyond.
If you can avoid this app
If you can avoid this app , do not purchase any sort of return ticket because there is no date on it, and if you are willing to buy a single and return ticket, the return ticket will come up first but there’s no drop down window to choose your date! I wanted to buy a return ticket from Oxford because it would be only an open day, ended up with a return ticket 1 week before! Phone lines are not working, no one is answering it! Utterly poor service, will avoid this tube bus line, closed my account! Not worth it! This will be my reason for not turning up to this open day!
No People To Contact About Missing Phone
Writing this review on behalf of my parents who are currently in London and took the bus from Oxford to London. My mother left her phone on the bus and her and the hotel they are at have been trying to see if her phone has been found. No one has called them back and no one has been able to speak to an actual person. She just wants her photos back from her trip.
The driver today was so rude
The driver today 4.15 pm service Victoria station to Oxford was so rude. No stops were announced during the entire trip and we we new to Oxford area. It was dark and the signs hard to read as we were travelling yet when asked if we were close to Brooke’s University the driver got angry at us for asking and despite sitting at red light sarcastically asked if I wanted him to get out and stop driving to answer the question. So rude , angry. Appalling attitude for a driver on a service to visitors / customers. I was not rude at all to him. Do not use this service.
Good drivers but no wifi despite it being promised
The drivers are usually very courteous and drive safely.
However, despite advertising wifi on all coaches (on the side of the coach and on announcements inside), the wifi typically doesn't work. On two of four recent journeys I have taken there was no wifi. I contacted Oxford Tube (ie Stagecoach) and received this response:
"With regards to Wi-Fi, we made the decision on 26 October 2020, at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, to temporarily switch off Wi-Fi on many of our buses. Like many organisations, we reviewed all aspects of our operation so we could focus on running safe and reliable services for our customers.
Since them we have reintroduced Wi-Fi on certain services."
Stagecoach, IF YOUR COACHES DON'T HAVE WIFI YOU SHOULD NOT BE ADVERTISING THEM AS HAVING WIFI.

I booked my trip with National Express to travel to London and back, connecting with the Oxford Tube bus. I didn’t realise this at first, but the driver was very helpful and explained exactly where to go, which made things much easier.
On my return journey I had booked a later coach than I should have, but the driver kindly let me board his coach a couple of hours earlier. Thanks to that, I got home sooner — a really nice and helpful gesture.
The journey itself only took a couple of hours, the coach was comfortable with everything working on board, and at half the price of the train, it felt like excellent value. I was really happy with the service and will definitely use National Express again.

Discounted fares are not available on the app or website (False and misleading advertising which I will be taking up with relevant authorities).
So a £20.50 60+ Return London to Oxford actually cost £22.00 purchased on the bus.
Outward Journey absolutely perfect + friendly and knowledgeable driver.
Upstairs front windscreen needed a wash as bird shit and dirt all over it.
Automatic bus washes won’t do a good job on this and will need someone with a long broom and soapy water.
Return journey - Wireless Charger not working and USB socket broken. Not sure of the point of the phone cradle as phone just slides in and out as the bus moves about. Needs some pads inside to give some resistance to movement.
Driver friendly but faffed about unnecessarily at White City Estate stop making the bus late.
First time using this service but mainly they need to make the advertised discounted fares actually clickable and available on the app. Look at the purchase flow which is illogical and slow to scroll to next page of later or earlier journey selection.
Online booking unsatisfactory
It is not possible to book tickets at the advertised discounts (concessions, seniors) on the website. Why not? This means that people are unable to get the advertised best prices.
Used to be good, not anymore.
Used to be an excellent service some years ago but since COVID finished off the competitor Oxford - London bus service, Stagecoach's residual Oxford Tube is infrequent and often cancelled due to staff shortages and roadworks.
Pleasant experience
We recently made a return trip from Victoria to Oxford. The coaches both ways left on time and were clean and comfortable with excellent wifi. Announcements and information were good and drivers were friendly. Would certainly use again.
Stinks of farts
I've taken two Oxford Tubes today, and both carried cretins who stunk the coach out with their farts. Great if you enjoy inhaling others' flatulence. Not so great if you value basic decorum from other humans.
