My experience with the Palmersnell has been amazing. This is my first property I’ve ever rented and this was very helpful and always willing to help when I had any questions. Have me a couple of veiwings even when they had cancellations.

Don’t care about noise complaints from other residents when students, tennants are making noise, Then they wonder why residents take it in to there own hands to deal with the situation.
Get told we will tell them or send them a letter but never receive proof of this so could just be saying it
Date of experience is all year while tennants are there.

Palmer Snell Wells, did an excellent job in helping us sell our cottage in Somerset. Everyone I dealt with was highly professional, well organised, polite and friendly. Special thanks to Carole Stocker and Maddison Brine who did an excellent job. I got good, clear advice and support throughout. A buyer was found pretty quickly and the final selling price was as expected. I can highly recommend Palmer Snell, Wells office. Friendly, professional, estate agents with excellent local knowledge.

A professional but friendly, and an easy but efficiently confident experience received from Palmer Snell and Katie M. This was for a 3-bed property for myself and 2 children, and I had been looking for a place to rent for 3 months beforehand; a surprisingly challenging experience until, I was contacted by them.

Palmer Snell were really prompt at answering correspondence, booking viewings, and just progressing the experience more generally. Given the state of the current rental market (that there are very few private rentals available in the Radstock area and its 25-mile radius), being prompt was key.

They kindly offered financial advice (where I answered the offer with, yes, I’d like it), including advising of the zero-deposit scheme which I’d never heard of before, and hadn’t been informed of by the multiple other lettings agencies I’d engaged with previously.

This made financial sense for my particular circumstances, and so this was a good outcome therefore achieved by Palmer Snell. I was also advised about contents insurance by Katie M; not in a pushy way, but rather in a way of supporting me with all my lettings needs, with an open offer to discuss further, should I have questions or general concerns.

A final bit of good feedback for them is that they were flexible with moving in dates to suit my preference, even though they would have been within their rights to not give much of a choice. They made sure the move in date was focused on home hunter/my convenience, rather than just picking a fixed date, that best suited themselves; this was much appreciated.

I would definitely recommend Palmer Snell as a first-choice lettings agency, and Katie M, (who I had most dealings with), as a first-choice lettings agent.

upon seeing a house to rent in the bournemouth area , we asked for a viewing , only to be told that we needed to move in straight away we said we could do a 6 week turnaround by giving a notice to our current landlord ...
but we were told we cant even have a viewing due to this , i believe this wasnt there call to make and at least give us the opportunity to view and discuss .
and not only this they didnt even ask if we would like to stay in touch for future properties , its a disgrace as we both earn really good money and would have been perfect for this property , so im deeply upset that they feel its ok to play god and decide what we can and cannot look at , and put a case over for .

Sadly, our experience of selling a house with the Weymouth Branch of Palmer Snell (February - July 2024) was not a positive one. Initial contact was promising, however, we were not living in the house we were selling as it was my mother's house so we needed good communication to know what was happening or as it transpired was NOT happening.
An offer was secured and accepted early on which was positive but after 7 days there was still no Memorandum of Sale (MOS). When I called to check where it was I was advised that unfortunately the buyer's buyers had dropped out, therefore leaving them unable to proceed. The MOS for this sale did arrive though a couple of days later via email, along with the FOR SALE sign going up outside the house... apparently, neither could be stopped once requested regardless of the fact that the sale was not happening! In May a cash offer was accepted on the understanding that the process kept moving. We were asked to take the house off the market which we did. When I called at the end of June to check when we would be exchanging, I was advised that there was no survey booked, no searches done & it was apparent that the buyer's were still deciding whether or not to buy the house!
I do not feel that our best interest was considered at any point & it felt as if they were representing the buyers. Communication was poor, not keeping us up to date with what was happening.
We served the 4 weeks notice & have parted ways with our house not sold & have started again with 6 months completely wasted. I have seen positive reviews but for us it was a very negative experience.

We tried to book in to view a property 4 times over the past few weeks. They 'pencilled it in' only to discover they never actually did, it was just to get you off the phone. We have since been told this property is off the market, but yet it is still on their website, rightmove and zoopla. I do not think the Bournemouth branch especially Gavin and Shahob are interested in selling properties.

Palmer Snell worle branch team were the best estate agents I came across during my property purchase journey. They always replied to my emails,calls and kept me informed. They were so helpful and friendly. Thank you Luke and Isabelle.

Our experience with this real estate agency has been absolutely terrible. Despite providing all our details, including the fact that we have two children, we were invited to view a house in Poole. With only one day's notice, we made a seven-hour drive from Liverpool to Poole.

We liked the house, but it did not have a garden, so we recommended it to a couple of our friends, also from Liverpool, who will be moving to Poole with us at the end of August. Our friends immediately came to see the house.

After they returned to Liverpool, the agency informed them that the owner does not accept children. This crucial information should have been communicated to us and our friends from the beginning. The whole process was a complete waste of time, resources, and effort for both families. The situation was handled in an utterly inefficient and unprofessional manner.

I strongly advise against using this agency to avoid similar frustrations. This level of incompetence and lack of basic communication is unacceptable.

Estate agents???? Constantly uploading rental properties that aren’t even for rent?

Weymouth branch. Not answering calls nor emails.

Wonderful service. I was very impressed with the help which l received from Mathew at the Palmer Snell in Westbourne.
I was inquiring to house prices dating back to 1991 and went into the Westbourne branch. He spent a great deal of time going back through the records and printed out a list for me. I was most grateful for his help and l would certainly use their services when I come to sell my home.

Palmer snell really help me on finding a home and moving in, great letting agents,all friendly, helpful and very welcoming.

I have let a nice property through Hayley and Olly at Palmer Snell Weymouth.
Excellent service throughout. Property let within days. A very good tenant introduced and is now in the property.
I would strongly recommend their services.

Incompetence, deception, a massive lack of empathy. Unskilled and unknowledgeable staff.
A huge lack of communication, understanding and accountability for their mistakes and errors.
Undue pressure put on us by them, due to mistakes they had made.
One staff member will tell you one thing, and another will tell you something completely contradictory two minutes later.
The staff are rude and condescending, they never answer the phone, nor emails.
They rope you in by sending the most lovely member of staff to value your house, sign you up. Then you get lumped with staff who honestly, shouldn’t be employed in general, let alone in the industry!
I could go on and on.
So if you want to be deceived, ignored, condescended and belittled then go ahead!
Otherwise avoid at all costs!

Westbourne, Bournemouth branch. Unbelievably useless, full of lots of false promises and generally terrible.

Promised the flat would be cleaned and said it was arranged especially as dead bird on the balcony on viewing, upon moving in it was dirtier and the dead bird had been kicked under a chair!

When moving in we need a code for a door which we were told would be emailed to us in couple days, they were reminded several times and 6 months later nothing...

The olds tenants post continued to arrive through out our stay even though they had supposedly contacted the previous tenant to sort this, which leads to next part when we delivered the previous tenants mail to them to be passed on it was instantly binned in front of us, strangely enough after leaving the flat I was informed there was a parcel that had been returned to the flat (something that had not much money value but a lot of sentimental value) when enquiring about when I could pick it up from them they claimed to have never seen it and just ignored my calls when going into the shop in person they claimed they never had it, I can't confirm it was binned but with there track record it wouldn't be surprising!!

Also if you want them to pick up the phone don't give them any money as once they got the money they may as well have never existed. There was one lovely lady who was part of the team who was extremely helpful but sadly left and I can't say I blame her, the agent we dealt with (I won't name names) was extremely unhelpful and useless to be honest.

We also had issues with not having a shower for about a month and also bad conditions with mould and the damp which is more the landlords fault than there's due to the property having severe leaks but within this they were not overly helpful in getting this resolved when the place was essentially was a biohazard

We used Palmer Snell Canford Heath branch for the sale of my late grandparent's house.

I found the team to be friendly, proactive and efficient which resulted in a relatively quick and trouble free sale.

Absolutely disgusting service. After being told on Thursday 28/3/24 I was accepted for a rental property at close of working day. It was a bank holiday weekend so couldn’t contact with the information they needed. After trying constantly phoning from Spain to repeatedly get answer machine no call back or acknowledgment from them in any way. After finally being able to speak to the person dealing with it to be told that they are sorry owners have decided to go with someone else. A bank holiday is out of anyone’s control. I feel this is disgusting on palmer snells behalf .. could never recommend them.

I just booked a property visit. Meeting at 16.45, I don't have a car so I took the bus from work, got out 1 hr earlier, bus late 10 min, I told the miss that would lead the visit that I would be late, just to be called a liar on the phone after 5 minutes, crying herself that she waited in the rain and closed the call. I didn't even bother to get down from the bus.
