Contacting surgery through patchs is a good way and the doctors respond to my requests fairly sooner. I am very satisfied with overall services. I only downside is the patchs is only available during working hours. If it can be made 24x7 would be very much useful.

Once one is used to system it works easily

So far, the system seems to work well. I do think it is possibly hard for someone older. A lot of information needs to be entered to finally get to the appointment request.

As a patient with multiple complex needs I’ve found PATCHs to be a formidable beast - However once I’d learnt to tame it I’ve found it a quick and easy way to contact the GP surgery ( within the parameters of the GP too 😆)
Luckily I was semi computer literate -
The kids of today should find it a breeze
Mind it still psss me off when it adds another 5 questionnaires 🤣🤣

Quick, easy to use and effective!

When I started using patches a number of years ago I found it unnecessarily clunky and tedious
To have to own a computer and be conversant with logins and edocumentation just to be able to see your doctor and to be well and able to do the application form online when you’re so sick that you need a doctor
However since using it for a number of years and becoming conversant with the drill of completing the application at 7.45 to see a doctor that day or arrange other treatment it now functions well for the gp service
My criticism would only be how the system has made line between help from the gp or medical ancillaries on the high street to the “big guns” of going straight to hospital is a much finer line
When completing the patches application there’s signposted Contact the emergency services or hospital at every juncture
This passing the buck approach to health care must be putting an enormous strain on the hospitals

I like using it. It’s straight forward, it’s very much keeping up with the times. I was able to use my mobile, answer few questions, include pictures and got a call within an hour from submitting the form. Saved time from having to ring and go in person.

Best doctors in Swindon by far! Not only the medical staff but every single receptionist is the nicest and kindest person, they are always so helpful and patient. I didn’t realise doctor surgeries like this existed and I feel truly blessed to be able to say this is my surgery! The surgery itself is a lovely clean environment and such genuine people inside. The way they do the online system feels futuristic compared to any other doctors I’ve heard about, patches is the best thing ever invented! Everyone at Ridge Green genuinely cares about their patients and goes above and beyond, I couldn’t thank them enough for everything they’ve done for me and my family. Thank you everyone at Ridge Green!
