I used Penningtons Manches Cooper for a claim against the NHS after an unfortunate ankle fracture that was not detected at the time.
Arran Macleod was a pleasure to deal with, friendly and professional and he worked tirelessly to achieve a positive result and eventually I was awarded financial compensation.
I have no hesitation in recommending him if anyone finds themselves in a similar situation.

Absolutely useless money grabbing company. Thankfully they were engaged through insurance cover so we weren’t wasting our own money on their pitiful advice as they couldn’t seem to grasp even the basic facts we were giving them about the matter.
All they did is take months to “review” the case, asking the insurance company for further funding, wrote one letter then said they couldn’t do anything else.
We took matters into our own hands after their sorry excuse of handling our case, which we should have just done in the first place, and after writing a further letter to the other side, secured a payout (having been told by Penningtons that we didn’t have a case)
I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone. Save your time and money and a lot of stress and use a company who know what they’re talking about.

Arran Macleod was excellent in a long and complex medical negligence case. He always took the time and effort to explain things to me but also listened to my ideas and concerns as well. I was very happy with the outcome. During the resolution meeting Arran was assisted by Elizabeth Ronan who was excellent at reading my reactions to the details being discussed. She advocated for me strongly along with Arran and this produced an excellent result for me.

Woefully inadequate. Penningtons were employed through insurance cover so thankfully we were not paying directly for their 'advice and expertise' which amounted to taking a load of money, writing one letter and then saying they could do no more.
In hindsight I should have just dealt with it all myself. Picking up the pieces from their tragic handling, I re-engaged with the other side and ended up with a payout where Penningtons said it wasn't possible. My advice is to avoid them if you want any potential positive outcome.

Laura and Phillipa worked on my case. They have been extremely professional throughout the process, very knowledge on the specific details, have given great advice and have kept me very well informed throughout the process.
