This review is really sureal, as I didn't actually take a ride with Peterborough Cars in the end. If I can frame this better.. I went to the gym and with the hi tech nature of our contact less key fobs managed to lock myself out out my own car, with the keys inside. Won't lie but paniced a bit as also inside the car was my phone. I had zero chance of getting in. Luckily went to reception at Vivacity who Googled Peterborough Cars on my request and then handed me the phone to speak to someone who could arrange a cab home (for my spare key). I explained the urgency of the situation, this was 20:00 on a Saturday night, and the car arrived in 7 mins. By then I had discovered a work around that gave me access to my vehicle, so didn't need their car. I offered to pay the guy who arrived, in 5 mins, for the journey, but he declined and refused to accept payment. Top notch customer service, and I will never use another taxi company again in Peterborough - Best in Town!

Prebooked for 7:15am due to an appointment but they were late which caused me to miss my appointment.

Then prebooked for 4:45pm to go home and the driver didn't arrive until 5:15pm which meant I was stood outside in the freezing cold.

This has happened on multiple occasions yet if you are even 2 minutes late, they drive away.

I was told my journey would be free to compensate but my card has been charged anyway.

Awful firm and awful service and the call handlers don't seem to have a clue what's going on.

Taxis are always late. Staff are rude and think because they call you madam that they're being polite. They tell you one price and charge another. When you complain you get told a manager will call you back, a manager never calls you back. You receive notifications saying your cab is here when it's not and doesn't arrive for ages after. They promise you a free taxi because of the bad service but, surprise, when you go to book that taxi they tell you they can't authorise it. I will never use Peterborough Cars again.

Needed to use this firm as my son was injured and could not walk to school. Sadly on many occasions they were late or did not turn up at all. Then they did not send me a payment link and one of their drivers became very aggressive with me shortly after I dropped my child at school rather than giving me chance to rectify their firms error.

Local taxi firms take note, this is how you run a taxi company. Their drivers are always punctual and if booked in advance will always be on time or early. I have used them many times and every driver I have had dealings with had been a positive & enjoyable experience. The technology they use is superb. By downloading an app I can book online and even pay in advance for a journey. I can track the driver, I get a text telling me who the driver is and what the car is as well as its registration number. I can do the same on the telephone if I want. All fares are a fixed price in advance and very good value for money.
