Absolute garbage. Do NOT use this service. I ordered a photobook on 22 Jan - and was informed it would be with me in 5-7 days. I was not sent an email confirmation of the order even though the money was debited from my card. I emailed a day later to find out status of order, received a response two days after that saying apparently my files had not been uploaded correctly - but then magically there were, without my having done anything (??). I mailed again trying to clarify the delivery date. Each email assured me they were on top of the order and contained an invitation to use their real-time chat - but there is no such thing on the website. I tried their customer service line - could not get through. Now 8 days later the book has not even been shipped never mind arrived and is now too late (birthday present for my mother). I will be pursuing a complete refund.

Still trying to get a refund from this company after numerous e-mails back and forth! Do not order from this company, sub-standard quality, pictures cropped and missing captions on photo book. Absolute disgrace. Customer service is a joke

This was my first experience of creating a photobook. I spent a long time on it, once I got used to the software it was really straightforward to use.Some of my pages contain 30+ small pictures so I wondered how they would turn out. I could not be happier. The pages are nicely thick and the print quality is fantastic. The book perfectly replicates what I designed onscreen. I got a 55% discount and free delivery to the Channel Islands. I would definitely use this company again, and next time buy one of the deals for even better value.

I had a technical query when creating my book so contacted the company. I was e mailed back and received a call back within 24hours. All correspondence was helpful and polite. I have now received my order. My photo book is of excellent quality and I am delighted with it. I have ordered photo books from other companies previously but this one is definitely the best-thank you photobook!

This was my first purchase with photobook uk and I could not be happier with the quality of the products. Yes, the name is somewhat misleading as the items are shipped from Malaysia, which I did not know until after I have placed my order. This explains the high postage cost and delivery times. To be honest, I was pretty worried about my order, having read the reviews on trustpilot but have decided to reserve my judgement. The calendar, 2 luggage tags and mug+coaster set arrived this week and are of superb quality. They were well packaged and I was able to track their journey from the moment they left the warehouse. Contrary to many opinions on here, I found the website fairly straightforward to use even with my temperamental internet. The trick is to ensure you upload photos of good quality, keep saving your project as you go along and preview it before you check out!
I am very happy to be able to give the company a positive and well-deserved feedback.

DO NOT BUY from this site! Terrible terrible customer service!!! I ordered a voucher from the website for a photobook which I then could not use without having to start all over again...website is not easy to use!! Then I ordered a slip case...expecting it to match the chosen colour of the book. Nope, it’s a standard colour and apparently I should have chosen the correct colour although I do not recall the option, I can’t even go back on the website to see my options or check as it doesn’t allow it. Then I have spoken to them on chat and the only way they will resolve the issue is to offer me to pay for a new slip cover at 80% off and I also have to pay for postage. Shocking! They would not refund the slip cover. I’m also not happy that the website is PHOTOBOOKUK yet the book has been printed abroad and sent to the UK! This is very misleading! Would not recommend this website at all!!

I recently made the mistake of using this company and can only say my experience was daylight robbery. I urge anyone to please not give this company any more money as they are completely incompetent and uninterested in good service. I ordered a canvas via voucher and waited for it to be sent out. It never arrived. Yodel apparently delivered it elsewhere and parcel could not be retrieved. The company had sent my canvas of my daughter to a postcode that was no longer in existence. So go figure?? Junnie from. Photo book is rude and blames me despite me showing her evidence that I had given her my correct details she kept sending emails back saying I was incorrect which for customer service was actually so u helpful and obstructive it was bordering abusive. This was of my newborn girl and they have made it entirely an upsetting experience. Glad I only wasted £18. But it is not fair these companies continued to exist. There is no uk site. They are rogues from Malaysia posing as uk so they look viable. Stay away and pay for what u get at photobox!!

I purchased vouchers for 7 photo books when the offer was on with the intention of making wedding albums for Xmas presents for our family. Ordered the books on the 7 day guarantee and they never turned up. Spent the last month being fobbed off repeatedly (and I believe I was blocked from their online chat) to the point where I had to spend a lot of money on calls to premium numbers trying to track my parcel. Turns out it got within half an hour of my house before being mysteriously recalled.... had to go through PayPal to get my money back. Do not use. Their name is a lie- Photobook UK is actually based in Malaysia and their 7 day guarantee is a lie- DHL confirmed that it takes a minimum of 10 days to get an item posted to UK from Malaysia so they have no intention of honouring their promises. Took me 2 weeks to get my albums right. Now I have to do it all again. :(

Terrible customer service, open for two hours and not good English. Spent ages designing a book, but their programme won't let me order it. Can't sort it, now ordered from another company, still waiting for a refund!! As using vouchers purchased from groupon. do not use them.

With a name like Photobooks it's hard to find the review for the right company, but I have experienced what others have goen through.

I made three orders with free products and was charged three separate shipping charges. Fair enough, but they call came together even though they were ordered at different times.

Also it took 2 weeks as they were coming from the otherside of the world. I am in the UK and they were coming from Malaysia! With a name like photobookuk you don't expect to be paying DHL prices and for your item to come half way around the world.

To top it all, the quality is poor and they crop inside what you have done. DO NOT BOTHER using them. I contacted CS who want samples of what I deem poor quality, but it's not worth it. I only wanted half of the total shipping costs back and they started saying I had discounted items so it doesn't count. Therefore, it's not free as they profit on the shipping costs.

I wish I had checked truspilot beforehand. Like many others we got tempted by the GroupOn offer and bought the voucher for the 40 page book. In hindisight it would have been better to just pay a bit more and go with another service. The interface and also the auto fill algorithm are horrendous, so we have spent many hours of manual editing the book. Due to a technicallity (binding) the project came out as 35 GPB though and changing the binding screwed up EVERY page. So after a minor fallout with my wife (and it's our wedding photos ironically) I have created another album with the correct binding. Due to the abysmal interface I still had to spend 30 Mins though just to correct the autofill. Now I cant pay, because towards the very end there are just no payment options. The interace is broken. This is with Firefox or Chrome and without adblocker. I cant click the order button! I am only giving 2 stars to give them the benefit of the doubt - maybe the photo quality is great. I surely am sick of trying to work with this interface and will probably write off the 6.99 for the voucher, because I am dreading spending another minute on this website!

UPDATE: Fair play, the book arrived and the quality is decent. Still horrible GUI though. Rating changed from 2 to 3

I can only concur with other reviewers of this company. Their software for producing and editing is slow and old fashioned so making a 100 page photo book was a laborious task. Having finished the book I went to order and a glitch came up trying to charge me an extra £66.99! On contacting customer services you realise that this is not Photo book UK but photo book far east, so with the time difference and with only being able to use email this took over a week to sort out. Eventually it was trying to overcharge by £6.99 so I decided to pay this and get my book and recover the money by credit. Once this was sorted the item was produced and posted quickly and I received it today, two weeks after trying to order. The quality of the book was well below that of others I have had made by other companies and I must say I found it disappointing. The prints of pictures taken on a quality SLR were flat and grainy and this is probably due to the paper quality and I wished I had up graded that, the print quality reminded me of home print on a 2003 HP printer! So why 2 stars? I sure they don't have glitches with all their customers orders or they will be out of business by now, so I give them the benefit of the doubt on that issue. They did respond to all my emails within 24 hrs and didn't try to fob me off or ignore me. Once the order was processed things progressed well. If you do decide to use this company allow for paying extra to get a better quality finish....I still haven't had my refund....

Do not use this company. They are dishonest and only after money. They offer 'great offers', you then pay for a voucher before you create your photobook, download unknown software onto your PC (which didn't work for me) then apparently activate the voucher at completion.
I changed my mind only hours after buying when I struggled to get the software to work, I then checked up the company on independent reviews. They were all awful so I decided I wanted my money back. I hadn't activated the voucher. I contacted the company by email (only available by phone 8am - 10am!! Can this really be a real UK company?!). They took nearly two days to reply and said that no refund possible due to a promotion agreement - I checked this online with the law and it's utter rubbish. They have to refund my money. They ignore online statutory rights even though this purchase was within 14 days and they even contradict their own terms and conditions. I am going to persue this for a resolution as I think it's terrible customer care.
Do not waste time or money and spread the word! If they don't refund I will be posting negative reviews everywhere and make sure they pop up alongside their website to stop others having the same problem. My advice is stay away from this poorly run company.
I'll amend this review with any updates😊 in case I'm wrong... but first impressions is I'm not!

Bought vouchers on groupon, the codes did not work and my photobook, which I saved whilst I was waiting for customer service to get back to me, was lost. This was all after I navigated their awkward online platform and log in. Do not recommend. Wasted money and time.

One star only for fast sending (I cna't give 0 star). But quality of print, paper 0. Pictures dark, blury, edges looks like cut by kitchen knife by drunk ninja :) Corners of prints bended. Better prints I can make in ASDA by my self. Not worth even a pound :( Very very disapointed.

Do not be tempted by the cheap prices, awful service, customer services are only open 2 hours on a morning, and trying to speak to someone was a nightmare, I had set up 2 accounts because the first one failed to work after I had designed a wedding album, and then the second one failed to work to, I was advised to make another which I declined, still waiting on a password reset email from 4 days ago!

Absolutely appalling. Like other people I bought a Groupon voucher for a 40 page phonebook and expected to have to pay £5.99 shipping. Spent hours uploading and arranging all the photos but on the last page was charged £24 for 'premium paper'. There was no alternative paper option - except more expensive ones. I couldn't bear the thought of wasting all my work so I paid the fee then contacted customer service and Groupon to complain. No response from either after 5 days. The book arrived today and the quality is dreadful, loads of blank pages in the middle, repeated photos and some that I'd uploaded but not even used had found their way in there. Website now appears to have crashed so cannot get hold of anyone. It's not just the money, it's the wasted time thats frustrating. AVOID AVOID AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I purchased a voucher on groupon for 500 photos, fully aware I'd have to pay £11.99 to have the shipped.

Firstly, in order to print photos they have to be put into the 'online photo book'. It is horrendous to use, incredibly slow and glitchy. You can't quickly select all photos and print all, you have to edit all pages individually. 500 photos took me about 500 years as you can imagine..

Once my order was placed they arrived fairly quickly. However the outside packaging was damaged and for £11.99 you expect them to arrive in perfect condition! Instead all the photos were squashed into a small cardboard packing, meaning all the photos on top were ripped or damaged.

After several emails they offered a solution of resending all 500 photos (for free) which obviously I was pleased with. However when the second lot arrived, the packaging again was damaged and more photos on the top of the two piles were damaged..

The photos are cheap, easy to rip, you'd be better off printing at home as the quality of paper would be better.

To add further insult to injury, some of the photos included weren't even mine, so I'm hoping someone has realised half their order is missing!

My order of 2 photobooks still not shipped after 10 days (website says 1~2days)
No explanation
No reply to my emails
Phone support only 2 hours a day and never an agent free
If it's not a con it's as close as it gets
Avoid there are plenty of good reliable and responsive alternatives

I can only echo other comments. I specifically asked for combined shipping for 6 reprints of an identical book. I was specifically told "we do not do combined shipping" even when I queried it and stated it was from same factory to same end user of same product. Not only did I have to pay 6 separate charges, I had to go through the ENTIRE ordering and uploading process 6 times too.

Then, guess what? Yes, they shipped it out to me in two separate packages. Therefore they combined shipping - that thing they specifically said they couldn't do. I've pointed out that I want a refund for the other four unused shipping charges but they claim it was done for MY convenience! Not their cost savings, of course.

Their customer service is appalling. I will NEVER use this company again and I urge you not to.
