I arrived at the airport two hours before my flight, yet I very nearly missed it due to the complete lack of organisation.

The queue for passport control had spilled out into the check-in area, with very little indication of where passengers were actually supposed to go. Check-in staff were repeatedly telling people not to stand in certain areas, but there were no clear signs, effective queue management or staff directing passengers.

Once we eventually found the correct queue, we were stuck there for over an hour. Even after scanning our boarding passes and entering the immigration area, the crowds were chaotic and there was still no clear structure.

By the time I got through passport control, I had to run through the airport to catch my flight. I was so rushed that I couldn't even use the toilet or buy a drink before boarding. After arriving two hours early, I find this completely unacceptable and the stress was entirely avoidable.

There were many other passengers on my flight in exactly the same situation. Surely this is also costing the airport money, as passengers who are forced to rush straight to their gates have no opportunity to spend money in the shops or cafés.

The airport needs to seriously improve its queue management, signage and staffing. Passengers should not be subjected to this level of unnecessary stress just to get to their flights on time.

Unfortunately, based on this experience, I will be avoiding this airport in future.

I would give it no star if I could. Staff rude scanners are primitive as a person with an artificial hip I was subjected to a very embarrassing search. Avoid this airport if possible. Couldn't even get a bottle of water at the machine which was not working

I would be more than happy to come along with you all and tell you why you need to improve.
You should be out of your staff with the accuses explain the failings.
Truly the worst airport for arrivals ever.

This place is a disgrace passport control 300 hundred people 3 border control inspectors very very very very bad never come here again

An absolute nightmare with the rudest staff I’ve ever encountered at any airport in my entire life. Avoid any all costs.

Nearly got all my liquids including the shaving cream and tooth paste. Very small liquid bag ‘standard’. Unpleasant and rude security. Trashed the experience on the way back, well done.

Arrived 10:10am still queuing @ 12 noon at border control. My 3 rd trip out of UK to EU countries and never been delayed entry like this. Behind us approx 500 plus awaiting entry. Still 120 in front, after our wait. Not good for tourism in Prague. A quick few days away, only hand luggage. Ok just out @ 12:56.

Bad experience at the airport. The security check, which is right at the gate, is the dumbest thing. In addition, I had to throw away some of my cosmetics just because they were in 2 transparent bags. I didn't understand what the problem was since the liquids did not exceed 1 liter and were in 30 and 50 ml packages. And what does it matter how many bags they are, since I carry them all together in my hand luggage. In addition, I bought alcohol from the duty-free zone, which was in a special bag as required by the airport, and they wanted to take it too. Simply absurd. Plus their rude attitude. If I could give a lower rating, I would gladly do so.

By far the worst airport I’ve ever used. Having security checks right at the gate is just ridiculous. The extremely rude staff only add to the miserable experience.

Dreadful passenger experience. The EES system is a complete failure at this airport. Staff seem indifferent to travellers welfare, simply blaming high passenger numbers. If this awful treatment of everyday passengers continues, we should all boycott every single retail outlet.

I went to the tax refund office at 6am. One for custom stamp and the other for refund window - there was no line but both staff looked extremely annoyed by having a customer simply asking a question while busy scrolling their phone. They both looked miserable and tired working early but if they are so unhappy helping others they shouldn’t be at the service job not alone at the airport leaving very bad impression of the country

Worst airport I've ever been to!!! Took 2 hours to get through passport control from uk... even though we used the scan machines, we had to queue again for a manual check?? Absolute insanity, and kept our pickup driver waiting. No communication, no seating, so for somebody with a disability, it was very difficult to stand in a queue for this long. Feeling very unwelcome! :(

I would give less than 1 star if that was an option. Passport control a complete mess. 1:45hr to stand for a passport to be stamped. EU machines to register yourself with the new scheme unbelievably slow. If you have already registered, no interest, just stand in the long line and wait for the machine to say you have already been registered on a previous trip

The worst airport ever prague to manchester rude staff treat you like dirt and got shouted at by one member of staff i am 56 did nothing wrong I then told another member of staff to tell him to stop....they want your money but treat you 3rd class.rude aggorant with terribble manners ..avoid

Worst experience I’ve ever had at an airport and I travel regularly.
We flew from Prague to Edinburgh on 3 March 2026 (Gate A5). Despite holding EU passports and providing official UK government documentation confirming our citizenship and visa status we were treated with suspicion and spoken to rudely without any clear explanation.
The staff was unsure how to deal with UK entry rules which was concerning. If you work at an international airport you should be properly trained on current travel regulations.
One member of our group was told her visa was “expired” and was instructed to pay £135 for an ETA. She paid under pressure and we were threatened that we wont fly if we dont do what they ask even though official guidance clearly states that if you already hold a valid visa you do not need an ETA. The ETA did not work and she later received a refund for it because the payment was unnecessary.
We were told she would not be allowed to fly unless she paid. The lack of listening, empathy and clarity caused significant stress. We were also told that if we missed the flight we would have to rebook and pay again.
This situation was handled poorly and created unnecessary anxiety for our entire group. Staff need better training and clearer procedures to prevent this from happening to others. At the end the staff members refused to provide their ID for official complaint.

Prague airport arrivals and departures is probably one of the worst organised airports we have encountered and it was not all the obvious of waiting and queuing.
Leaving Manchester with Jet2 was fantastic as always very efficient and organised.Then arriving Prague airport well this was confusing there was staff sending you to the automated border control machines only to go through entering all your info into the machine for it to cancel the transaction in the end,we then go to the manned normal border control with no staff organising the queues and hundreds of people filtering through 6 cubicles taking forever which does happen so i am not going into this too much.
Departing Prague is the most ridiculous planning we have ever seen in an airport all over the world and this is why i am doing the review hoping other fellow minded travellers do the same for the management/design team to review their stategy.
You do not go through any scanners once checked in you can go straight to duty free which was different,no signage to say what to do which is fine and call to gate super early 1.5 hours before which we thought was different.
Dont make the mistake of doing this as this is where you go through security scanners like normal but this is done on each individual gate which is fine but come on Prague airport dont expect travellers to go through this with NO TOILETS at the other side absolutely ridiculous.
The amount of people going through with their hand luggage only to be uchecked out then re-checked back in as they had not realised there were no toilets or obviously they had been in there too long.
Complete waste of staff time with travellers back and forth.
There will be a reason for this arrangement whether it be reducing staff costs or traveller waiting times but please put some toilets in there it is just common sense.

The border control staff are very rude

😡 😡 I was freezing inside the airport 🥶 Today, February 16, 2026, it was snowing in Prague, and the heating was so low in the airport that I couldn't get comfortable or take off my coat at all 😡 They also had almost all the electric entrance doors closed in an airport where international flights start departing at 6:00 am... Anyway, I find it quite shameful that this is working so badly 👎🏻 HEATING IS FOR WINTER, NOT SUMMER
