MOT booking
I was booked in for an MOT, the test got aborted as they could not open my door. I was told I would be able to talk to someone when I came back in to collect my car to re-book the test. When I walked in I told them I was there to collect my car but no discussion was made about the re-booking of my vehicle

Why have I marked it down. If id have wanted a vehicle health check i would have asked.
Took way longer than it should to fit four tyres followed by the scare tactics into attempting to get more work under the guise of a health check

Very honest staff I say this because on my previous car I did the MOT to a different garage in Rodney road I was present while my car was checked for MOT didn’t do anything to headlights and charged me extra £25.00 for headlights not aiming correctly.at pro tyre you leave the car there and no extra charge only explain to you when car is done with MOT

I booked an appointment
My initial experience with Protyre Portsmouth was poor. Despite having booked an appointment, I arrived on time only to see the manager prioritise a walk-in customer requiring a tyre repair and effectively give away my appointment slot. Nobody checked whether anyone waiting had an appointment, and no explanation was offered. More than anything, I was left feeling invisible as a customer, despite having booked ahead. When the work was completed, I was simply grunted at by the other chap behind the counter to collect the car from the car park, and the tyres themselves looked as though little care had been taken with the finishing touches.
To their credit, the manager contacted me after I left my review, apologised for the experience, and offered a complimentary service as a gesture of goodwill. I returned today (21st Oct) and the experience was noticeably better. The staff were friendly, professional and attentive, and the service was carried out without issue at my appointment time.
While I appreciate the effort made to put things right, it is a shame that it took a complaint for me to receive the level of customer service that should be the norm. That said, they did take my feedback seriously, reached out proactively, and made a genuine effort to improve the experience, which I do appreciate. As a result, my overall view is now mixed rather than entirely negative.

I ordered the wrong tyres online but this was corrected by John and reordered the correct ones which were fitted the next day at no extra charge .
