I love PureGym and I’ve used it in and off for years. Now we finally have one in Glossop i rejoined. Unfortunately it’s just too small for the number of people who now attend. It’s by far the cheapest... Toon meer

Somebody needs to check the showers…
Somebody needs to check the showers more regularly and clean the plugholes from hair like I had to yesterday! The toilets need cleaning more often as well!
Other than this, the staff are pretty friendly and helpful!

The showers are borderline horrific
The showers are borderline horrific
This pure gym is the most expensive monthly membership fee I have paid yet the cleanliness is shocking
(To note I use the gym at 6am)

I did not like the machines are quite old and dirty.
The troopers and showers were disgusting . A real shame.

Gym is a mess, urine on the toilet seat/floor/Walls.
Gym is a mess, changing rooms are dirty and it's basically a youth club with none of the groups of teenagers actually using the gym for the right reasons.

No Weighted dip facility
I came to do a weighted dip session. Surprise surprise, there was no facility to do weighted dips. Only an assisted dip machine with a seat in the way so my planned session never happened. Its a good gym in terms of they provide resistance bands and dip belts. Membership fees here is steep for a puregym, you'd think a steam room would be included.

Great Gym to get started in, hard to change tiers of subscription
All the introduction videos and explanations of how to workout. This let me crack on with my goals with ease. But upgrading or changing my tier of subscription is a nightmare, the page will not load on app or website regardless of device.

Room for improvement lately
There's a couple of growing trends I have noticed. 1. People using treadmills then going away and leaving their stuff on the treadmill whilst they do some other circuit drills and coming back to the treadmill after 10 mins away. This is out of order and signs are needed to re iterate if you leave a machine other than to get water or use the toilet... you give it up.
2. The hygiene of users is almost non existent. Virtually nobody cleans machines/ weights after use.

I love pure gym
I love pure gym , it’s a great place ,staff are very friendly and helpful .

Unfortunately, we are unable to monitor the usage of phones in our gyms, however if people are sitting on equipment or reserving we would strongly advise approaching a member of staff on the floor who will be able to help further, as this is not tolerated.
