Please be warned that if you are choosing to do business with Ramus Auctions you should look up their new partner Capital Online Auctions LLC ran by Mitch Rotker in the Maryland courthouse for the multiple legal issues. Unpaid taxes to the state of Maryland by Capital Online Auctions LLC of $34,000, and multiple lawsuits for unpaid auctions over the years and the NOT IN GOOD STANDING and FORFETIURE of their charter of Capital Online Auctions LLC. Please safeguard yourself against Capital Online Auctions LLC who has now partnered with Rasmus Auctions as of 2/26.
I have posted comments on Facebook and Instagram for Mitch Rotker, Capital Online Auctions LLC and their new partner Rasmus Auctions, but they have the right to remove my comments, and they have and when I see they have removed them I will try and repost those warnings moving forward for others. I will continue to help others steer clear and protect themselves of these horrible shady business practices that continue to happen.
as of 2/23/26 with Capital Online Auctions LLC, and Mitch Rotker at this time who because of financial issues has now partnered with Rasmus Auctions. Please take a look at all the public files provided by the State of Maryland for Capital Online Auctions LLC and or the owner Mitch Rotker and you will see that he owes the state over $34,000 dollars in unpaid unemployment taxes, and has his business in NOT GOOD STANDING and his LLC Forfeited and both have been in this status for years and public information and now partnered with Ramus Auctions which should concern anyone looking to conduct business with either.

The auction is experience as a whole was positive.
The actual online auction interface is easy to use. I rarely have any difficulty or problems with the web interface
Checkout / invoice / scheduling pickup was pretty straightforward and I haven’t had any issues. I will say it is problematic if you need to send someone to pick up your items.
Picking up at the site is a different experience at every location. It’s a free for all in the parking lot (if there is one) But in general, they are usually well organized inside the location

I have experienced Rasmus as a Buyer and Seller!
As a buyer, I understand that it is MY responsibility to look at all the pictures and read the descriptions AND go to inspections before making a bid. Auctions are MOSTLY used, or new returned items, or overstocks. So, I expect there could be flaws. I'm not paying new prices, so I don't expect everything to be perfect, just good enough for me to use for less than half the new price. Those that don't prepare for reality and don't go to inspections are setting themselves up for a let down. The online and pickup experience is always the same...fast, easy, and courteous.
As a seller, Rasmus' management reviews each of my auction catalogs and suggests ways to improve with clearer pictures and descriptions. Kathleen, Erik, Abby, & Michelle are always professional and respond immediately.
During my most recent auction, I had the absolute best Rasmus on-site person ever!! Luciana!!! She made the check-in & pickup process so easy!
I have plans to participate in more Rasmus auctions as a buyer and seller and I'm grateful that they are here to help the small business owner and those of us always on a budget!

Beware. Listings are posted to portray items as working. But they use word play to sell you BUSTED/ BROKEN. Unusable garbage for outrageous prices. Their "Clear and Fair" refunds policy is a crock of crap. You cannot actually speak to someone. You get auto response Bs texts and then when someone finally responds its nothing but excuses as to why they will not honor their policy. Don't waste your time. Its all returned junk they buy for pennies on the dollar and screw their customers over with lies, false photos and word play in listings to cover their butts.

I sold my industrial retail space (condo unit) to another business and had to liquidate my brewery equipment. This was not bank-ordered, but a personal choice. I contacted Rasmus Auctions (Patrick), and they were helpful and professional with my options, co-marketing, and planning. Their on-site representative, Darren Estes, was great to work with and handled his team for item tagging, did the marketing videos, and interacted with buyers on pickup days. One thing I've read in other reviews is that there was no option to inspect items before purchase. This was not the case I experienced, as there was an inspection day before the pick-up day. Overall, a great experience working with Rasmus.

Buyer beware with Rasmus Auctions. You can buy something nice with little or damage to merchandise, OR you can find yourself buying pure junk. Rasmus puts fine print which the average consumer will never notice on their auction sites. It protects them from a lack of proper inspection, and sometimes they will notice little things, but more than not they will miss even the obvious. To the untrained eye, you may initially miss these things, but they should be the experts. When you go to pick up your items you will find either, the workers are foreign nationals or high school students predominantly that just really do not care. You do have options to return it, but if you are not local, you will have to undergo a long journey back, where your wasted fuel might make the transaction and return hardly worth the time and expense!

I have found that it has become increasingly more difficult to receive products from Rasmus Sellers that are complete. They don't show enough pictures of the damaged packaging to allow the potential buyer to predict possible damage to the product. If it's electrical, you may need to bring your own generator to make sure it works. BUYERS BEWARE!

Received products that were damaged, missing parts, or I showed up to retrieve my item and it was simply not there. Absolute waste of time. Saving money means nothing when what you bought is a pile of crap.

Rasmus Auction I thought was a reputable business that would honor its terms of agreements.
Turns out this is not true. A vendor posted a fraudulent and intentionally misleading description of a product meant to increase tenfold the actual value of the product. I fell for it but after the auction close, I discovered the deception. Long story short I went over and above advising Rasmus of the deception and giving them the opportunity to make things right and they would not.
I had been a customer of Rasmus for years and never in my wildest dreams would I have imagined the owner of Rasmus telling me he was going to support the practices of a vendor clearly posting intentionally deceptive descriptions.
It is so blatant to be definitively appalling.

IF YOU DON'T PLAN ON INSPECTING ITEMS, DONT BID!!!! Descriptions and pictures can be deceiving, they are INTENTIONALLY misleading to get more bids. I've spent near $6k this month at auctions, happy with most of my items. Be especially careful buying anything that isn't new. I've gotten 3 used items that were "like new" but are filthy and dont work as they should, buying dyson replacement parts isnt cheap, at the cost paid i couldve gone new somewhere else for a little more. They will sell you defective items and if you dont return within 48 hours you can kiss all that money goodbye. Hundreds down the drain for me and tens of thousands for them in lost revenue, i wont be back.

2 stars at best because I regularly conducted business with Rasmas.com. I have happily recommended their auction site to my family & friends. Therefore, I am appalled beyond belief by what I experienced this March 2022.
During pick-up Rasmus’ Director of Communications,
Ms.Kathleen Rodimak,
was horribly unprofessional & condescending. The claims that she ‘emailed three times’ that $7.42 was unpaid was harsh & extreme; claiming that because I did not respond immediately I was told ‘we are done’ & “We no longer want your business.”
I am in utter disbelief that anyone holding a communication position, for such a reputable company, would abuse power in this way. Unfortunately, this may cost Rasmus. Companies must not accept counter productive behavior of any employees or tolerate irrationality driven by bias & internal incompetence.
The erosion of a once highly regarded business relationship is disheartening. This oversight brilliantly spotlights the grave importance in recognizing the value of customer feedback & the deep impact of a failure to do so will ultimately determine that company’s worthiness.
