Very poor customer service, loose cancelling is poorly calculated
Loved their roll mat underfloor systems, used them for years but recently had a project where I needed the loose cable.
The instructions said to place 9cm apart (doesn't seem crazy as the mats come 10cm apart) and said never place closer than 6cm with 1cm leniency, but they gave me way too much cable.
I got in touch as this seemed an honest mistake in their calculations and they took 2 months (obviously I'd found a different company to lay with in this time) to come back and tell me to lay it at 5cm. They refused to refund me for this as an error on their behalf as they don't see any issue with it even though it took them a month themselves to work out how I'd do it.
If I had laid it at 5cm I would have not been covered by their warranty according to their own instructions.
When it's good it's good with rayotec but if you have any issues they are really no good.
I genuinely expected a sorry, clearly a mistake, let me send you a shorter one and collect the old one for you.
Instead I got told that obviously I should install it by voiding my warranty.
For perspective. If I'd ordered the matt for the same area I'd have been given 17m of cable.... But I'd been given 29m. It doesn't take a genius to work out this is a problem.
In response to the Rayotec response:
You offered to refund the cable if I paid for shipment and on both requests for a refund did not give me an address to ship to. This has been your error, you should be paying shipping.
Though I appreciate your mathematics on this scenario, this still suggests breaking the limits suggested on the booklet that you provide with the loose cabling which is what I originally emailed to say. Expecting either a response of 'the booklet is wrong - we'll fix that' or 'the cable is wrong - we'll replace that' Each professional floor fitter agreed with me that the only way to lay this would be by breaking the limits in width stated in your information booklet and agreed that this would break the warranty, each agreed that the recommended limit was impossible, not that I needed their confirmation, it is really not that hard to lay (I know from laying it 5 times before doing the maths and realizing it was impossible and then laying one from another brand with no issues).
My apologies it was just under a month from contacting to respond, the 2 months I had in my head included previous emails, this was my error and I've altered it in the above review.
However, this is still too long to leave your bathroom floor underlay out to be trashed. And still proves my point that something is wrong either in your cable or your information, all I wanted was to inform you and get it fixed.
