Avoid Residenza Wagner – Unprofessional & Possibly Fraudulent
I’ve stayed at over 80 hotels in the past year for business, and this was by far the worst experience. I booked Hotel Residenza Wagner through Trip.com with a confirmed check-in between 17:00–19:30. I arrived at 17:15, called the hotel, rang the bell — no answer. I waited in my car for over an hour in the heat.
At 17:56, the owner finally replied via WhatsApp claiming “this is not a hotel” and that check-in starts at 18:00. His WhatsApp name? “Hotel Residenza Wagner.” Instead of helping, he blamed me for not reading spam emails.
I had two large suitcases and was double parked. I asked if someone could briefly hold my luggage while I found paid parking. The response: “We don’t offer porter service.” I was told to carry everything up 3 floors by myself after emailing my ID. No empathy, no help — just a rude refusal.
With traffic blocked and police asking me to move, I had to leave at 18:15 and find another hotel. No refund, no apology.
Later I found other guests had similar complaints — long waits, poor communication, and no mention that the bathroom is outside the room. Worst of all, they relisted the same room at 30% more, claiming I didn’t check in.
Avoid this place unless you want your trip ruined and your money stolen.
