PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AS WE DID AND RENT A CAR VIA THIS COMPANY
We hired a car via AutoUnion/Scandia Rent kiosk in Finland at Rovaniemi airport, what an awful experience we had. It ended up costing us double the amount as they took unauthorised payments from our credit card when we returned the vehicle, which was in the same condition we we collected it and with a full tank of petrol.
The man who works at the kiosk in Rovaniemi Airport was very abrupt, rude and intimidating, when we returned the car we asked him to look around the vehicle to check all was ok but he didn’t seem bothered, now we know the real reason why, he had every intention of charging our credit card with unnecessary costs when we had left.
Please avoid this company unless you want to be scammed! I have emailed and spoken to the man who on the paperwork signed his name ‘EU’ and they do not want to take responsibility for their actions. They have taken money from my credit card for non legit reasons, surely this is against the law by doing this, they haven’t even been able to provide sufficient evidence when we have photographic evidence which has been emailed to them, but they simply insist we are wrong and they inform me they have no intentions of refunding our money. We have done nothing wrong and yet companies like this get away with ripping off customers.
The necessary authorities will be informed of our experience as it has been extremely stressful, I have emailed Scandia Rent and they do not want to know, I have emailed photo’s that are dated and have the times on them as evidence and yet he is still stating the evidence is not sufficient, what more do they want. Please avoid making the same mistake as we did, do not rent a car from this company, choose another company who will provide good customer service and not scam you!
