WARNING: Commercial machines pre-loaded with pirated/illegal software
I purchased commercial VR machines from Skyfun VR for my U.S.-based entertainment venue, with a total project investment exceeding $50,000. Upon arrival, we discovered the hardware was pre-loaded with pirated, unlicensed games featuring stolen intellectual property. Furthermore, we discovered a hidden disclaimer on the software, in Chinese, that explicitly admits the game content is downloaded from the internet and states it is for 'personal research' and 'not for commercial use.'
Operating these machines commercially would expose my business to massive copyright liability and statutory damages. When I raised this issue, the manufacturer refused to issue a refund for the unusable equipment. Instead, they offered to remotely install a few Chinese-language games, which is completely unworkable for an English-speaking customer base. Alibaba Trade Assurance failed to enforce their own Intellectual Property policies and offered a $300 settlement on a massive commercial loss.
If you are a legitimate business owner in the US, Europe, or anywhere with strict copyright laws, do not buy from this manufacturer. The equipment cannot be legally operated in a commercial setting.
