Today, 17 May 2026, my wifa and I visited the Smoke & Co in Margate. The servoice was good and prompt. However, because my wife has an allergy for anything with chillies in, her choice was limited. What was really disappointing is that the chef in charge would allow two dried out flat pieces of chicken to leave the kitchen with a few asparagus as well. Not even a sauce, or a suggested alternative. Shocking. And that for £18? I should have spoken up for my wife there and then. I am sure will never visit them again.

Very friendly and great food, a little bit pricey but its quality

We need to support new companies like this, while they find there feet, there menu for breakfast is great if you have a big appetite, but at £15 for a full English its to big for a child, yet the Margate restaurant is located on the seafront with many family's walking past, they serve Heinz baked beans for breakfast yet its called smoke & Co not even Heinz barbecue beans, but on the plus side the sausages were tasty the bread was fresh, lots of flavor but the beans were a let down
