READ CAREFULLY: BILLING FRAUD
I signed up for a free trial of the Bronze Sniff Pass near the end of the month, and they charged me $20 at the end of the 1-week trial (as agreed upon), a few days before the end of the month… and then ALSO charged me $20 on the first of the next month. (They had never disclosed at the start of the free trial that auto-payments are processed on the first of the month, nor was that information anywhere on the website or in my account information, so I had assumed my auto-pay would occur- and re-occur regularly- on the day my trial ended. Essentially, I retroactively paid for a whole month of services when I only got 1 week.) I chalked it up to a personal oversight, and continued to use the service without issue for several months… until I went to cancel. I cancelled 2 days before the end of the month, yet they kept automatically charging me on the first of the month, past my cancellation date. One charge 2 days after cancellation, and 1 pending charge by the time I went through my credit card statement for that month. Glad I had taken screen shots for proof at the time of cancellation, because they had never sent me a email confirming the cancellation, and when I checked my account on their website today… my Sniff Pass was magically active again! PLUS, you cannot remove your credit card from their website!! Total fraudsters. Disputed with credit card company, and fortunately, was able to get the first charges refunded, but sadly, I have to follow up in a week on the “pending” charges, and I had to totally cancel my card (because my credit card company cannot guarantee SniffSpot hasn’t saved my info elsewhere), and I am still going through headache of transferring auto-pays to other merchants, onto my new card.
