Tried cancelling subscription, no reply, just kept charging me

It is true that you get access to the material once you "pay what you can" but i reckon that the quality is quite poor. Questions are misleading and presented in a very different way compared to CFA or other providers' tests/QBanks. Answers are not correct sometimes, and there is not a tool in which you can't report them either.
I would not recommend it.
At the end of the day, "you get what you pay for"...

I am really shocked here. I wanted to write a review for soleadea after I used it twice over the last two years because their study planner helped me a lot but before I say what I wanted to say, I must say this. From my experience, there’s no problem with payments at soleadea and I don’t think it’s a fraud. Actually, it’s really student friendly and the guys make study planner + some good concise materials available practically at no cost.
I paid the minimal fee monthly both times I used it. When I wanted to stop using the study planner for a while I just contacted them to say that I wanted to cancel my payments because that was the instruction I got in the e-mail. Then I decided I wanted to go back to studying for CFA. I set up a plan for the Nov exam and it was helpful. Now that I don’t want to use it anymore I just cancelled the payment with no problem. There was a link I used to cancel the payments. So, it’s true what Sheryl writes below – they improved their system.
I felt I needed to write this all because I don’t think it’s fair what you can read in some of the reviews here.
Initially I just wanted to write that I’m satisfied and that you can have a good backup when prepping for CFA exam if you use soleadea but I guess it’s now obvious that I liked it. Last thing. To me that you can pay what you want and that the prices are so affordable is something new and desirable in the CFA prep world.

I am Olushola and I am from Nigeria. I made a biggest mistake of the year 2023 so far by registering to pay a monthly $7 for Soleadea. They are poor in customer service, very poor and pathetic and terrible . No email , no phone number to call. NOTHING . They did not send me a confirmation email that they got my money . But my card was charged. I called my bank to block the transaction but they said they can not block it and that I need to do that on Soleadea website .

I am concluding that SOLEADEA is a fraud ..

PLEASE tell them to refund my $7 ASAP . They should allow me to cancel my subscription and deactivate my card on their site .

I have previously sent a cancellation request on October 2022, which they provided a link for my cancellation. However, they kept charging after the cancellation.

Thank goodness I took a screenshot for record keeping after on that date, showing that my particular account does not have any further access when I tried logging in after the cancellation. I have subsequently received a response with an explanation that the team has changed its systems during that date.

Update: The team has arranged for a refund for the full 10/11 months.

I should have read trustpilot reviews before subscribing. It is definitely a scam. Initially it asked me to reactivate my account by pressing a link, which I did. And I ended up giving the money without getting the study plan. I had to use a different account to access the plan, but when I asked to cancel, they only sent an automated email and did not actually contact me on this.

I am unable to cancel my subscription despite sending them emails. The customer support team is unresponsive.

Continually charged after cancelling subscription attempts- incredibly unprofessional and not responsive.

I studied with Soleadea for the level 1 exam in Feb 2023. They have great study planner that keeps you on track. Also, for someone from a developing country, I love their pay-what-you can pricing. It's very affordable. You can access decent CFA study materials for a fraction of the price.

It's a scammy unprofessional company.
Once you have given your credit card details, they will do a monthly recurring charge.
The Cancel Account button is hidden under "Your Profile". The only way they give, is to write in an email under their Contact Us page.
There is no confirmation email for your account cancellation and they will continue to charge to the credit card.

I cancelled my subscription in February and they are still charging my account 2 months later. The content is nowhere near the level of other providers.

Avoid this company at all costs.

Initially it seems like it's a one off payment however if you do not cancel the subscription they keep charging you.
Furthermore, in the website there is no option to cancel your subscription or billing details.

I would definitely avoid also because the quality of the material provided is very poor.
