I've had the Sonnet Echo 21 Thunderbolt 5 dock for over a year. My setup is pretty demanding, 64GB M4 MacBook Pro Max, two external monitors, and I regularly do LLM fine-tuning that keeps the machine pegged for hours. Under that kind of sustained load, the dock would occasionally cut out.

I reached out to support over a year after buying it, honestly not expecting much. They had me ship the unit in, their team looked at it, reproduced the issue, and gave me a full refund - no hassle.

The dock probably isn't the right fit for anyone pushing extreme, prolonged power draw but that's a pretty specific edge case. For most people it'll be rock solid. And honestly, the support experience alone would make me buy from Sonnet again. A no-questions refund on a year-old product isn't something you see often.

I have been waiting since January 3rd to hear back from the support team regarding an issue I have and have yet to hear back despite multiple emails sent to them. I have attempted to call but get a message saying their customer support phones are unavailable.

I have since filed a BBB complaint as I was reaching out about blatant product mis-representation and false advertising. While I have used their products a lot in the past, and have used them for a lot of clients, I question what my future with sonnet will be at this point

Tried to speak with Joaquin in sales to get more info about the product misrepresentation and for info about who to contact as my emails weren’t being responded to and he essentially told me to f myself before hanging up on me after lying about their product. I called back to ask for his manager but he refuses to now answer the phone.

Bluetooth long range usb 4.0 adapter not compatible with mac. "Will be in future but not now" I have a device I cannot use. Not happy

I have various Sonnet devices. When they work, they work pretty well. But if you happen to have an issue, you better throw them away than contact customer support.

I have a Sonnet 10GbE PCIe card and a Sonnet Thunderbolt to 10GbE adapter. After a few months of use, I discovered that the adapter is 30-40% faster than the PCIe card. I sent them several emails, but they gave me no explanation.

Result: I spent $250 for a 10 GbE card (+ a $100 transceiver) that performs just a bit better than a 2.5 GbE card you can buy from Amazon for less than $50.

Poor customer support, they do not want to lift a finger to be any help.

Be careful when buying any product from this company.

Product purchased: Sonnet eGFX Breakaway Puck Radeon RX 570 (Mac & Windows Compatible)
Defective after: less than 120 days

I bought an eGPU and the item is a piece of crap, don't buy it! Overpriced for a weak GPU, the power brick is as big as the entire eGPU (they don't show that on the product pics of course). Unit broke after little over 3 months and manufacturer Sonnet declines to accept it under warranty.... I moved to a different country and the deny an international return shipment (at my expense).

Beware if you travel internationally, this company does not want your business and their provincial mindset won't comprehend that people travel... Worst company I have bought electronics from in my life...
