I got the afternoon tea as a present. It was so awful I couldn't regift. I ended up buying some prosecco and biscuits. Such a waste of money. Maybe £5 worth of gifts at a push, but I would be embarrassed to send this to anyone. Absolutely rubbish.

So dissapointed with this company. Ordered two products off them via house of frazers. Two letterbox cheese, port and crackers set. Cheeses had leaked through box smelt awful. Sent them email 11th December, so 11 days tomorrow absolutely no response. House of frazer have sent 4 emails saying trying to sort with manufacture still not sorted. Two presents down, 44.00 out of pocket and no more money to get them anything else, avoid them at all costs. Very poor customer services!!
Literally a box full of rubbish
We get given one of these useless hampers every year and can't wait to regift it immediately.
The larger ones contain enough polystyrene packing peanuts to easily fill a green recycling bin, so at Christmas when bin space is at a premium you are gifted a box full of literal rubbish on day one.
If you hate someone, or want to be perceived as an unthinking idiot, get them this..
Worst gift ever.
With regard to the reply below, I don't care what the packing peanuts are made of, I'm annoyed by the quanitity of them, as I said in my review they take up an ENTIRE green wheelie bin, which at christmas is already groaning from the indulgence of the season.
I doubt Spicers of Hythe will see this adendum, but here's a thought.. why not replace the useless peanuts with something more thoughtful?
Here are some ideas for your large Xmas hamper.. Xmas table runner, 4 xmas bobble hats, Xmas oven gloves, Xmas tea towels, Xmas Totes style socks, Xmas mittens and gloves.. all cheap items, all can be used as packing , a couple of sheets of honeycomb packing paper and not only is everything protected but the box has genuine premium content and you won't keep getting negative reviews about sending people 90 litres of packing peanuts.

We had amazing feedback on the Hampers & our clients were extreamly happy with the contents & the genral classy appearance.

great choice of hampers (from low price to whatever you want to spend) which we buy for our team.
We have used them for about 5 years now.
The packaging gives a wow factor, I don't think you could do it yourself for the price.
Always a friendly and knowledgeable voice at the end of the phone if you need help.

Misleading Contents
Returned one of their £30 hampers to the garden centre where I bought it today for a full refund. Bought it as a special 'thank you' to neighbours who helped my elderly mother after a fall. Thought I'd best check it before I wrapped it only to discover that the box was padded out with a layer of polystyrene packing chips underneath the goodies. The contents were about a third less than they appeared.

Lovely arrangement but modest quantities of food
Purchased the Elegance Sparkling hamper as a gift and must say I am disappointed with it. There were only five biscuits in the chocolate biscuit tub. Lovely arrangement but modest quantities of food. Thought it was very overpriced for what was in the box

Well deserved 5" review!
I can't thank Spicers of Hythe enough for the wonderful service, care and amazing hamper.
I wanted a lovely hamper and I couldn't be more pleased with the one I had, it is beautiful, I can honestly say it will give me great pleasure when I gift this at Christmas.
The customer care is brilliant, especially Patrick, from ordering to receiving the Hamper everything went smoothly and arrived exactly as planned .
I give this company a good 5" well deserved, thank you!

Hamper contains tea that expires in 6 weeks
I received the afternoon tea hamper which contained a box of earl grey tea that was 6 weeks from becoming expired. I wrote to the company and they said “I am sorry to hear that you're unhappy with the shelf-life of the teas in the hamper. We actually guaranteed a minimum shelf-life of 14 days from the date of delivery so the tea bags actually exceed this.” If one is thinking of buying a hamper from them, one might want to consider this first.

I bought the Penny Post Cheese for my mum. It exceeded my expectations and she absolutely loved it. Tastes as good as it looks.
Ordering was easy. The hardest part was choosing. It was delivered within 2 days and on time.
Will definitely order from them again.

ordered 3 hampers through Amazon delivery 12/15 december . DELIVERED ON 10TH DEC 2 DUMPED ON FRONT DOOR STEP ONE OF WHICH WAS STOLEN, WILL BEFORE FAMILY CAME HOME. Out of date food.
Ordered 2 xmas hampers off their website,off their xmas page in fact even got a "xmas voucher code" In all fairness they came promptly only trouble is the items inside run out of date in October making them totally useless as xmas presents.Haven't got time to mess about dealing with it,needless to say its the last time we use this company.

Missing item
I ordered a hamper along with an add-on cake. While the hamper was delivered, the cake did not arrive, even though the email updates sent by the company showed it was sent. It was only when I specifically asked the recipient about the cake that I learned the item was missing. I had the feeling if I hadn't asked, I would never have known. When I contacted the company, they offered either a substitute cake or a refund along with a form letter. Very lacking in personal customer service. Will not be ordering from this company again.

Delivery was short…. Again
I have used Spicers for the last 3 years for hampers for my staff, the last 2 years running my delivery has been short and I have had to seek hampers from elsewhere. Spicers blamed the couriers and I felt fobbed off instead of being treated like a valued and repeat customer. I will be buying my hampers from elsewhere in the future.

Xmas Hampers for our Staff
We have been using Spicers of Hythe for the last few years now for our Staff's Xmas Hampers.
They have always been of a high standard. I have received only positive feedback from our staff when they have been received.
The whole system is easy, the ordering, paying, delivery, I have yet to have issues with any of the ordering process.
The friendly staff are always on hand if I get stuck and to remind me when to provide the delivery addresses.
I cannot recommend this Company enough.
