I chose this store for my first VESC controller purchase, but I was disappointed with the seller's service attitude. Instead of first considering the possibility of a quality issue, the seller immediately suspected that the problem was caused by the customer's carelessness.

I’ve had a terrible experience with Spintend and I want to warn other creators and customers to stay away.

​It started back in December when I received a review sample. It arrived with a defect, where the ignition port didn't work on one side of the dual VESC. Even though I checked my wiring and confirmed it was correct with their contact, Amy, she just blamed me for breaking it instead of owning the issue. I later found out a friend of mine had the exact same problem, but on both sides of his unit.

​Then, during a livestream in April, the unit failed on me completely while I was trying to create content for them. My settings were well below what they recommended, and the load was lower than what I had run successfully on other hardware before. When I reached out, I was blamed again and they refused to take any accountability.

​The affiliate side of things was even worse. They make you chase them for almost every single payment. They skip their own affiliate platform entirely, so there is no transparent reporting, no clear data, and you’re forced to cover the fees yourself. It’s unprofessional and clearly designed to make things difficult. My last payout was significantly underpaid, and when I asked about it, they started making up random rules on the spot. When I asked where these rules were written down, they basically admitted they weren't, but said they would be implemented in the future.

​When I pushed them to pay the commission that their own system confirmed I was owed, they retaliated and terminated my affiliate account. I know at least two other creators who were also terminated for asking for the same kind of basic accountability.

​To make matters worse, they play favorites. I brought it to their attention that a creator they favor was making graphic, sexualized comments about himself and spintends product during a livestream. He knew there were kids in the chat, and I provided spintend with timestamped proof. Instead of caring about safety, they told me they didn't care as long as they were making money. They even accused me of being afraid that I could not compete with him. I made it very clear that this was not about competition for me, but about a serious child safety issue as a parent.

​From my experience, they are not to be trusted. There are plenty of other companies out there with better products and actual professional ethics. Save yourself the headache and go elsewhere.

I have had broken Spintend Ubox V2 controller in less than 2 months of starting using it in my scooter. What answer I get from Spintend company is that I should pay for repair! And even using their Chinese warranty terms it should be free of costs the replacement.

I am wondering how they do business in their own country, China. Or do they scam only foreigners who have no legal power to do anything in China.

Highly recommend. Their ubox is high quality. very satisfied.
