That British Tweed Company Reviews 

Same as many on here since covid - avoid this company and dispute with your bank/paypal if you have paid them, as they will not respond to your queries and, to date, I have not received the item I ordered in August. Getting married in less than 4 weeks time and things are already complicated with covid, without having to deal with dishonest and misleading companies on top.

Ordered a 3 piece ladies suit on 27th August. got a confirmation email. Emailed several times since and called a bunch of times, they never pick up and you only get a stock robot email response.
Looking back through the reviews here I have the feeling the ones that are 5 star are probably fake.
I've left final message on their machine advising them that I have raised a dispute on Paypal and reported my suspicion that they are a fraud company.
Such a shame, I was really looking forward to my suit!
I feel really bad for the people that have left reviews saying they missed deadlines for weddings or special occasions.
I wish I'd seen these reviews before I purchased, I try not to leave negative reviews about companies, but I think in this instance it might save someone a possible wedding disaster!

Never received our 5 different orders for our groomsmen. No response for a refund. Blamed COVID for the product deplay. It was ordered back in May...

Suit did not arrive in 3 months so I raised a dispute with Paypal and got the money back. This company does not respond to calls, messages or emails. The suit was for my wedding and I had to buy off the peg at the last minute. Avoid.

Ordered a made to measure 3 piece suit in March, not heard a thing from them since. Never answer the phone and not replied to my emails. Would've at least expected a small email from them explaining how Covid has affected times.

Thieves, Scammers. Read the reviews on their Facebook page if you want evidence. You will hand over your hard earned cash and receive absolutely nothing!
You can try phoning and emailing to no end. If anyone reading this has already then follow this link and try the legal route for compensation. Report them to the citizens advice to start your claim for compensation,

Wish I had read the reviews before buying a waistcoat on 1st August 2020. The 'free UK shipping' cost £20 for DHL express courier (there were no other options). I was charged immediately for the item, but still have not received it. The company won't answer the phone, emails or their website contact form.

It's been a really poor experience, feels like I've been robbed for £80. Do not buy from this company.

Communication is so poor.
Placed a made to measure order in February for an event in April, the suit has not arrived nearly 6 months later.
Any attempt to make contact to check the status of the order or gain a refund have not been successful.
Their company phone number doesn't work and no one responds to emails

Wish I had read these reviews before I ordered a suit!
I parted with £220 in February...still no suit, no refund, no communication!

DO NOT order from this company, we ordered a suit in early February with express delivery, for a funeral. No suit in March on the day and no correspondence, we did get our £50 express fee back after complaints then nothing at all, ignored all emails, phone doesn't work and even tried LinkedIn!! THEN we threatened them with the small clains court and HEY PRESTO a refund appears within 10 mins!!! Totally dodgy, and I don't expect a comment as Mr Etches only comments on good reviews

2 orders placed. 1 received, 1 not. The made to measure order is still outstanding 4 months after the order was placed. Thankfully my daughters wedding has been delayed, otherwise the father of the bride wouldn't be well dressed.......

The website looks great, but three and a half months after placing an order I have had no communication from them. They do not respond to enquiries via phone, email, or the contact form on their site.

Currently I am starting recovery proceedings with my credit card company.

Terrible company. Waited longer than expected for the suit to arrive. I had no update as to what was happening with the suit.. When It arrived it was of poor quality and fit. I have not been able to get hold of anyone from the British tweed company regarding the suit I received. I want to return the suit and my money back but they are ignoring my phone calls and emails.

Ordered a suit last year. Was told there would be a delay. Accepted the delay. No contact after a month, another email. No response, another email, no response. I pretended to be a new customer asking for advice on where their suits were made and then they replied...lied to me about when our suit would be ready. It's now June and still no suit, no response, and no refund. Completely unacceptable. We will have to take matters further. Also, I'm not a 'Karen', we have been so patient during these unprecedented times, but this is now a joke.

Terrible company - waited for 2 and 1/2 months, reaching out now to enquiries and no response. This website is a scam unfortunately as I was looking forward to the item.

DON'T RISK IT - I took a calculated risk on buying from "That British Tweed Company" despite some very bad reviews I thought some of the good ones must have been genuine, it was a bad calculation. I ordered a priority made to measure suit & it was acknowledged within 48 hrs, after that the communication was very poor. The average delivery time had passed, I waited another few days and requested an order update, this was the start of slow and unhelpful responses. At one point I was told they could not give any certainty at all about the delivery so I requested a cancellation as the order was not in production & I needed it before a date they clearly could not meet. They didn't cancel it and then stopped replying to requests for updates. Then 6 weeks after the order was placed they said it was ready to be shipped. Then the reality of this company became clear...the suit was far from the quality or images of what I ordered. The stitching runs horizontal instead of vertical, there is a pink thread woven into the suit that should not be there, the buttons are the wrong colour and the overall quality is very poor and in no way reflects what they have on their website. ***DO NOT ORDER*** from this company. As of today I am waiting for a refund that I doubt I will ever see as they have not responded for 3 weeks now despite me offering to return the suit at my own cost.
The positive reviews on here are outright fake or have been posted at the request of the owners but most certainly are not genuine. Believe all the bad reviews including mine....DONT LOSE YOUR MONEY !!!!

If I could give zero stars I would. Ordered a waist coat on the 15th January. Chased numerous times. Orders are sent to China to be fulfilled and then sent back. No mention of this on website or I wouldn't have ordered. Absolutely nothing British about this company. Finally received my order on the 1st April.

Directions for self-measurement? Very clear (my first time measuring and it came out beautiful)

Quality of material? Surprisingly top-tier given the pricing. I was astonished

Condition it was in when shipped? This might be a small detail, but I was STUNNED at how it came ready-to-wear despite being shipped across the world. Didn't even need to steam or iron it

Care and customer service? Again, I was just surprised: I'm in a completely different time zone and yet the response times were fantastic and it felt like real human care was put behind every interaction.

I bought a women’s made to order suit, due to a mix up on the sizing it was too small when it arrived, I contacted Rich and he sorted it out straight away, now I have a gorgeous grey tweed suit that looks amazing! The only thing I would say is that if you’re ordering a women’s 3 piece suit go for made to measure instead. It’s what I will be doing when I order my next one.

The suit is amazing quality, lovely lining and the tweed gorgeous, I’ve had a lot of compliments on mine :)

This has been the worst company I have ever dealt with. Please do not use this company. They do not tell you the truth and I never received my things i brought. Stay well clear of this company. You will regret if you use them..
