I instructed Chowdhury Sultan on two occasions through Barrister Connect and I honestly could not have asked for better representation. From the outset he was calm, reassuring and clearly very knowledgeable about the situation I was dealing with.

What stood out most was how relaxed and composed he remained throughout the process, which really helped settle my nerves during what was a very stressful time. He understood the case immediately, knew exactly how to approach it and handled everything with confidence and professionalism.

Thanks to his guidance and representation I achieved a result that was better than I had expected, and it has genuinely helped set me up for the future.

I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for a barrister who is knowledgeable, strategic and incredibly supportive throughout the process.

Paid for a consultation. They never arranged the meeting with the barrister, despite many calls and emails. This is a extremely non-serious firm, and in my opinion should be avoided (I would definitely go elsewhere for something as serious and costly as justice)

I had the privilege of being represented by Nadeem, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the support, guidance, and professionalism I received throughout the entire process. From the very beginning, he made me feel heard and reassured at a time when everything felt overwhelming.

Nadeem was incredibly knowledgeable, well-prepared, and confident in court, which gave me a real sense of security. What stood out most was his genuine compassion. Nadeem understood how emotionally difficult the situation was for me and handled my case with both sensitivity and strength.

Farah Stehrenberger was incredible! Really helped me in a high stressful situation in family Court - her communication through out the process was top tier and her performance in court was incredible. I got the desired outcome. As a man, your never can be too sure how things will go in family court but Farah could see through the noise and focused on the key points which helped so much. I did not have to stress at all.

Mr Eugen MacLaughlin was my barrister. I had a very bad experience. He did not read my side of story and asked me to pay extra money to read for late evidence/policy that has nothing to do with my case. He refused to engage with my main strong evidence and spent time disagreeing and frightened me to leave my case im the middle of it. He was almost out of breath by the time the hearing started. I chose Mr Eugene because I thought he was older with years of experience in public law but it was a huge mistake.

Review for Barrister Philip Bowen
Title: Serious Concerns About Quality of Representation in Financial Remedy Case.
I am writing this review to share my experience with barrister Philip Bowen, who represented me at my final divorce financial remedy hearing. Although his biography and professional profile appear impressive, the representation I received fell far short of what I expected at such a critical stage of my case.
From the outset, I felt I was not properly prepared or advised for the final hearing. Several central issues were not clearly identified, raised, or challenged, including:
• the distinction between pension assets and capital assets,
• the proper treatment of my non-matrimonial savings, and
• the inconsistencies in the respondent’s financial disclosure.
Another major concern was that Mr Bowen decided not to pursue the issue of the gold and jewellery held by my ex-wife without consulting me. This was a significant matter to me personally and financially, and I expected to have input before any decision was made.
When the judge, due to time constraints, requested written submissions from both parties, I was extremely disappointed by the quality of Mr Bowen’s work. His written submissions were, in my view, weak, superficial, and failed to set out the key arguments of my case. At the handing down of judgment, the judge even remarked that the submission was “very brave”, which spoke volumes. In stark contrast, the submissions prepared by the other side’s barrister were clear, detailed, and far more persuasive. The disparity between the two was obvious.
The result was a financial outcome that has had a serious negative effect on my housing and retirement position. I left the process feeling that essential arguments were never properly put before the court and that opportunities to correct clear errors were missed.
This has been one of the most distressing legal experiences of my life. I believe it is only fair to share my experience so others can make an informed choice when selecting representation for financial remedy proceedings.

Marc Brittain did an outstanding job on my case, brought in at very short notice for a hearing he totally grasped the complexity of a case which has gone on for 3 years and achieved a great result in the High Court for me. He is driven, focused and a consummate professional. I like his relaxed approach too ( call me Marc not Counsel Brittain) The opposing sides legal team got a shock with his skills in the courtroom and i will definatly use Marc again for the future hearings.

Tina Villarosa represented me at Court on the 24/11/2025 and her expertise and knowledge was exceptional. She was very clear and was determined to come to a settlement on the day. What was meant to be a very stressful day at court turned out to be a very victorious one, this could not have been possible without Tina's knowledge and expertise. I cannot recommend her enough.

From start to finish this was a great experience. It was a very stressful time for me and the whole process was quick and efficient and great care was taken by Amy, initially, to match me with the right barrister for me. Nick Wright of Counsel was instructed by me to prepare a particulars of claim for a complex GDPR breach matter. Nick was very responsive to my query and provided the particulars of claim very quickly of me providing my instructions. The Barrister Group responded to my query with a cost-effective quote for the services that would be required bearing in mind this was a small claims track case and Nick's particulars of claim was very detailed and clear about what the claim was about.

Recommendation:
1. The only feedback I would provide to improve the service provided by the Barrister Group would be to update Nick's profile as it is clear he has very good knowledge of GDPR breach claims and his profile does not contain this information and helps lay clients like me understand that Nick is more than suitable to be instructed in these types of cases as clients do review counsel profiles before confirming instructions.

Mr Asim Hussain - Deeply Disappointed — Unresponsive and Negligent Barrister - I had an extremely distressing experience with Mr Asim Hussain, whom I hired to represent me in a sensitive family law matter. Despite repeated follow-ups, he failed to respond to my messages and completely ignored my concerns.

Shockingly, he accepted a draft court order from the opposing solicitor without consulting me — his own client. This order excluded key directions given by the judge during the FDA hearing. Because of his negligence, I had to fight to get the order reissued, which delayed my FDR hearing by four months.

As a single parent fighting to recover life savings siphoned abroad by my ex-husband, I was left emotionally and financially drained. Mr Hussain showed no regard for my situation, charged a hefty fee, and caused more harm than help. His lack of care and professionalism was appalling.

I would strongly caution others against instructing Mr Hussain. Clients deserve better — someone who listens, communicates, and advocates with integrity.

Great service from the clerks and team and Lynne Counsel was excellent. We got a great result from the hearing and were immediately updated by Lynne with the outcome.

Christopher Cant is extremely knowledgeable on CIL, we have been receiving some excellent advice over the years as a Charging Authority, would highly recommend Christopher if you have a CIL issue

I recently had the pleasure of working with Barrister Connect, and my experience was exceptional from start to finish. My family and I was unexpectedly thrown in a court case where we were innocently accused of things. We didn’t know what to do and started looking for representation.
