We went today for a Sunday buffet. The service was very attentive and friendly and the buffet was really well organised, with staff there to help and give advice. The food was truly mouth- watering, delicate spices and such a variety of food. The chicken pakora was absolutely top notch, as was the sag aloo, although everything was very good. I had a perfect vodka martini. Hakeem and his excellent team made it a satisfying and comfortable meal on a very hot day. There is air conditioning!

Bangladeshi food served in the name of indian food.

First time at The Bombay for my partners birthday. The food was absolutely amazing! Never seen such big pieces of chicken tikka that just melted in ur mouth. Main courses were equally delicious. Staff lovely and friendly. Best Indian restaurant we’ve ever been to. Highly recommend

Had a reservation at 8pm on New Years Eve which they changed to 8.30pm the day before by the restaurant.Arrived at 8.15pm and seated by the door on a very cold icy night. Every time someone came in it & out, the outdoor door was getting stuck and being left open causing the cold to effect all the 12 people seating in this area including us as the inner door although shut was not a sealed door so the cold came in. Got seen by a junior waiter who took our drinks order 15 mins after been seated and had to wait a further 20 minutes after flagging up that the 3 tables of 2 who all came in around same time had not had our food order taken or had our drinks served to us yet. No explanation given at all and our waiter looked like he was the only one taking orders for the whole restaurant as he never appeared to any table until any of the tables complained. In fact no one came to any table in that area until the food came. By 10.20pm food not served to any of the 3 tables of 2 but a big table of 25 had food served before us and most of them came in after us. I complained and was about to leave as was another table by us and all of a sudden all the food appeared. By this time I had gone off eating as too late for me at 10.35pm and left most of my food as did my wife. Although the bill was adjusted and two drinks and service charge taken off it ruined the evening and has completely changed my view of ever setting foot back into this restaurant. The food as everyone says is very nice, as is the decor but not having your waiter looked after you and explain anything especially if there were issues as all 4 tables by the door of 12 people were left hanging with no waiter to any table explaining anything or offering complimentary drinks due to the wait. They were totally under staffed for New Years Eve and when a lady from one of the tables spoke to what we thought was the manger and said she was leaving he directed her to the waiter who served us and said he was running the show and speak to him. It was total chaos not just with our 4 tables but several other tables that were there at 7pm and they all cheered when there food came out at 10pm. A lot of people we spoke to said that the Restaurant service has gone down and food wait times for both eating in the restaurant and takeout is now very long. We have been there before a few times and we did have to wait a bit for the meal each time but we booked early and was eating by 8pm after been seated at 6.50pm.
Come on guys do you think that being seated at 8.15pm and getting your food order at 10.35pm acceptable even if it was New Years Eve

We sat by the door entrance I was so cold .
Terrible evening .
I would give it 0 stars if could have done.
There were 3 couples including us and they too did get not there food until 10.30 pm and too were freezing .

Food excellent when first opened, but now is yet. Take away is slow even for collection.

Turned up at 7 food arrived at 8:50. One of the party didn’t get their meal. Overall really unhappy

Had a lovely meal here and the service was very good. The only negative I would say is what they are charging for a ‘mint tea’. £3.95 for a glass of hot water with some mint leaves in! It hasn’t put us off going back but did really make us laugh that it is sold as ‘mint tea’. Other than that, food was lovely and atmosphere was good.

Very accommodating and knowledgable about dietary requirements. Friendly and helpful staff and beautiful restaurant. Tasty food!
