Glamourous Owl ring-making - Newcastle upon Tyne
I bought two Glamourous Owl ring-making vouchers last Christmas for my two daughters-in-law. The vouchers were valid for a year, but due to work commitments, living in different cities and significant health issues for one of them since September, it’s been genuinely difficult to arrange a booking.
I contacted Glamourous Owl to ask for a short extension explaining the circumstances. The response I received was extremely inflexible. I was told they “do not normally extend vouchers” and was only offered the chance to discuss using them for the next available booking, which was 5th January — completely unrealistic as one is back at work.
As a result, I am now losing £60 through no fault of my own. I find it disappointing that a small, reasonable extension couldn’t be offered, especially given the health-related issues involved. A little compassion and flexibility would have gone a long way.
I wouldn’t recommend purchasing vouchers from Glamorous Owl as gifts unless you’re absolutely certain they can be used well within the time frame — life happens, and this business clearly doesn’t allow for.
I wish I’d seen the other negative reviews before booking !!
