Do not order from this company!
I ordered dog food two weeks ago - over £90. The promised delivery date has come and gone. Today I called them and they don't have the product - and apparently didn't when they took the order. Anyone who knows dogs will know that you can't just change their food overnight. I'm furious.

I have used Pet Express because they stock all of the foods my dog eats. Unfortunately their delivery service is not good enough. Always delayed, I will find a new supplier.

Absolutely awful! Placed an order online, was told it would be 2-3 days. 2 weeks later and it still hasn't shipped and no one can tell me what's happening with it. Trying to get in contact with my bank for a refund to order off a decent company. Customer service is atrocious, no one responded or answered the phone. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!

Placed an order in Feb , we are now on march 11th been over 2 weeks since placing a £100 order for bird food. I rang the store and a lad said it was delayed and they were waiting for items to come into stock they had ordered, even though it stated available on the website and in-stock. Not once have they made contact to say the order was delayed, I rang 3 times the last time I tried making contact it went to answer phone saying no one can pick up. Response via email is slow, had to ring a completely different parent company in order to make contact with the store dealing with my order. If a manager contacts me and sorts this out, my review will change, until then this review stays as others need to know what is going on - which is the whole purpose of trust pilot.
** UPDATE**
So I opened a PayPal dispute and my money was returned within hours. Have a sneak feeling PayPal is refunding lots of their customers. The business is run very shady indeed. My advice is do not even click on their website. Very distrustful and very very bad practice. Look at all the negative comments. Good businesses have top ratings, that is a known fact. Go to another store, be warned !!

I placed an order late in the day for budgie toys, within minutes had a thank you email, I received regular updates on my order, an instant refund for an out of stock item,, the order was dispatched when it was meant to be and DHL delivered within 24hrs I highly recommend pet express and will do business again with them, many thanks

Ordered frozen dog food, email said dispatched with other items. Questioned this, they said out of stock (it wasn’t on the website when I ordered. No one contacted me since. Paid for items too. Won’t use again.

Tried for three weeks to get the food we required for our dog , everywhere was out of stock , but then found what I wanted at normal price from Pet Express . Ordered on 19th Jan delivered 23rd Jan . Fantastic communication telling us what stage the order was , then communication handed over to courier , delivered on time , absolutely delighted with this company . First order but won’t be the last time we deal with you . Thank you

Extremely disappointed with the misinformation this company gives. I put my address into their check-out and they are trying to charge me £12 delivery because I am, in their words, off mainland. I live on the mainland and not on any island. So their information is 100% factually incorrect. Very disappointed.

Two 30l sacks of kit lit .. ordered on Thursday evening, arrived at my home the following Tuesday morning. Excellent service. Very happy to recommend .

I was purchasing products every now and then with no problem at all.
Except the time that I tried to acquire a new subscription, which means a permanent client buying food regularly. In order to tu customise it beyond the preset options in the website, I had to contact their customer service, which is an absolute rubbish. They cared more about their preset delivery options than they did to lose a potential subscription customer . Well done you!

I have ordered online a Java tree mini, all the communications were professional, kept me updated with the delivery from the supplier, very happy with your business. Too bad I live far from you, in Leeds, otherwise I would pay you a visit in your store . Thank you again for your help.

Years ago we ordered dog coats for our previous dog from The Pet Express without any issues. However, it appears that things have taken a downward slide and I wouldn't order from here again.

I ordered 2 Danish Design 2in1 dog coats for our shih tzu on the 21st of October and paid extra for Royal Mail 24. Had I known it would take just over a week for the coats to be sent I wouldn't have bothered paying extra for postage. The coats are absolutely perfect and have no issue with them but it appeared that despite being in stock it still took ages to send. Ended up ordering another coat through D Is For Dog which arrived in much less time than here.

Just brought yora protein dog biscuits for £48.99.

Shocking..I purchased a dog coat which was tiny despite being described as suitable for a large terrier.
The company wanted me to return the item at my expense and also if I did I had to return the free product that they put in the order too...I didnt even ask for this. AVOID

Pet centre in transit way Plymouth was very helpful and had good knowledge of what to advise for the small pets me and my partner have. Would rather travel to this than the one near us!

I had a subscription and I wanted to add to it. I called up the customer service number and got through straight away. The lady on the phone was super helpful and sorted it out for me quickly and efficiently and our order was delivered a couple of days later.
I really like this site although I wish it were easier to opt out of the free dog toy each time!

I ordered from here as site is called The Pet Express and I wanted a speedy delivery, hence paying for delivery which said 24 hour Royal Mail. What I didn't know at the time was it means 24 hours from when The Pet Express finally decide to dispatch your item! Took over a week to come. Won't be ordering from here again. Posted on here as they only put good reviews on their website.

Before writing this review, I couldn’t believe the comments people have wrote. Anyway I’ve been ordering from this company for nearly 2 years. Never had a problem that wasn’t sorted out quickly, and it was only ever a slight problem, The lady who answers the phone Charlie, is fantastic at her job and getting it sorting out. I’ve never had a problem with not being able to get in touch either. The quality of products are fantastic, the prices are good, some products I’ve ordered I’ve never seen before, there’s great variety over the website. Delivery has always been good for me, they’ve arrived before the date which is fantastic. There always packed really well. I like the way you earn loyalty points on your orders, just register with them, & earn 1 loyalty point for spending £20 or over, on an order, when you reach 5 points redeem them & you get £5 of an order. Plus you even get a free toy when you spend over a certain amount of money. Fantastic company. For me. And that’s my true review.

Awful product. Received hamster seed sticks, all were crumbling and falling apart. 2 packets had huge holes in the top and sides that looked like rodents had gotten into them before being packaged!! So you packed them in this disgusting state. Half of the sticks have no seeds on at all and all seeds strewn throughout packaging. Would never buy from here again.

I have ordered wet food digestive care for my old dog who suffers of colitis and I need this type of food every day and I placed my order on 6 May 2022 and it says Royal Mail 48 tracked but they dispatch the order a lot later because estimated delivery time is 18-19 May…I don’t recommend this company..please AVOID 👎
