Had my service and MOT at Toomey Hyundai and Sofia was very nice and accomodating. She was also able to answer clearly some of my questions. Will definitely go back for another service.

Amber was very professional, very happy with the service

My car was due its first service and Amber booked me in first thing, I know all the staff at Toomey Hyundai well as I have been using them for years for both my car and my wife's car. I decided I would wait while the service was done, and I was surprised when Amber brought me my keys in around 90 minutes. I declined her kind offer of a car wash as I was tight for time, but in all it was a great service. Thanks also to Rzonca Wictor (I am not sure if it should be Wiktor Rzonca) for carrying out the service and the video of the underside of my car

Had yearly service at Hyundai, was met by Sofia at the service desk, she was very pleasant, polite, friendly. Sat and waited for service as they moved from upminster to laindon and don't provide a pick up anymore. Bit of a distance but car was done quickly and also washed on the outside, nice bonus. I also spoke to a young gentleman about another Hyundai, he answered any questions I had. So in all I've given 5star review.

I took the wife’s car in for a full service and a MOT. Reasonably priced, especially as the MOT was free as part of the full service !
We were looked after extremely well at Toomey Hyundai, Basildon, by Sofia Latchford. Sofia explained to us very clearly how the process works from taking the Hyundai i10 in, getting it serviced and the collection of the vehicle. Sophia is extremely polite and pleasant and very professional. To us, this is a very important part of getting the car serviced, something that a lot of other garages cannot compete with.
Would definitely recommend Toomey Hyundai for servicing - (and buying a vehicle from.) 💯😁

Extremely disappointing experience at Toomey Hyundai Basildon.

I visited as a serious buyer, ready to purchase a Hyundai Kona Hybrid for around £23,000. I spent approximately 40 minutes discussing a specific 2025 Kona with around 13,000 miles. I was told I could secure it with a £500 refundable deposit and that the car could potentially be brought over within an hour.

I stepped outside for only 5–10 minutes to speak with my father, returned and confirmed I wanted to proceed and pay the deposit. Only then did the sales manager come out and tell me the car had been sold.

Throughout the visit, almost every question I asked had to be taken to someone else for an answer, yet somehow nobody established that the car they were actively offering me was no longer available.

I was then offered an older Kona with around 24,000 miles and promised a price within 45 minutes. Four hours later, after I had tried calling three times, I was eventually told it would cost around £1,500 MORE than the newer, lower-mileage car.

I understand that used cars sell quickly. That isn’t my complaint. My complaint is the poor communication, lack of follow-up and the amount of my time wasted while I was genuinely ready to buy.

Very disappointing customer service.

My car was booked in for a service and MOT whilst I waited. The service receptionist Sofia was very welcoming, easy to talk to, very efficient and very kindly made me a coffee. The process took just over two hours and fortunately all was well. I will be back.

I had a really positive experience with Sofia at Toomey Hyundai when I brought my car in for its MOT. She was extremely accommodating and helpful from start to finish. She helped arrange my appointment around my work schedule and made the whole process very easy.

As I was at work while my car was being looked after, Sofia made sure to keep me updated, which I really appreciated. Her communication was excellent, and she was friendly, professional and genuinely helpful.

Sofia the receptionist is always very helpful and efficient. I always book our vehicles for an 8:00 drop off and wait for collection. Sometimes I take the opportunity to visit a friend who lives locally and Sofia messages me as soon as the vehicle is ready for collection. On this occasion I asked for the technician to investigate a possible concern with the engine and transmission and they carried out a thorough investigation and test run to ensure that everything is correct.

From booking to execution, really pleased with my dealing with Toomey Hyundai. At the dealership was dealt with by Sofia, who was very welcoming, attentive, and explained fully what was going to happen, and then what did happen. This was my first service with Toomey, and I am very satsified, would recommend.

Had a very good experience from start to finish. Sofia was very helpful booking in for my service & mot. She worked hard ensuring I had my car in time for the school run. Very knowledgeable about the process and answered my questions politely. She looked and sounded as though she enjoyed her work and that’s very nice to see.

Dropped the car off for its 1st service with along with hire car. Amber looked after me who was really helpful and gave a lot of advice to all my questions around my dash cam. Absolutely great service all round!
