Stole my money no instillation
Now trading under a slightly different name

They took my money and I got nothing back, no product, no refund. Their emails and phone numbers are inactive. Craig Gilbert-Prince did not answer when written to. There are several companies under him with this name. They are scammers.

Would rate 0 if I could, absolute joke of a company. Unprofessional, deceitful, and overall terrible.

Only thing they’re good at is consistently making up excuses why my windows which were a 6 week turn around in April still haven’t arrived despite them apparently being in production…

Hounded me for the deposit, ignored all my calls after. The Director who was relentlessly calling me even forgot who I was when I finally managed to speak to him again after numerous attempts. Coincidentally once he realised he quickly made an excuse to end the call after a barrage of excuses about the delays.

If I could put 0 I would. Total scammers. I advise anyone to not pay any deposits

Update: if this was aimed at myself (written by the company) - as I said, I have PROOF! I have emails & videos for anybody who requires it. Im not stupid enough to bad mouth an innocent company. However- tradeprices direct are NOT innocent. Jack warne emailed me recently to tell me he was on holiday, so apparently, im expected to believe, - there was noone else available to pick up the slack. Read the other reviews. Practically EXACTLY the same thing all these 1 ☆ customers saying the same. Nobody misunderstanding the process. Just plenty of 1☆ reviews who have been ripped off. BTW. An apology & promise to investigat would've been a better customer relation building than" not all of our reviewers know what they are talking about". I have some lovely videos showing the shocking installation, & how my home has been left to the elements as not one single cap fitted, etc etc. Ask Jack Warne. I sent it all to him.

I paid Trade Prices Direct £3,918.50 for a door in October 2025, plus £99 for a survey. The original expectation was that the door would be completed within weeks.
Months later, the door has still not been delivered or installed. I repeatedly chased for updates, but kept receiving promises that someone would call back or send an update, which often did not happen. I was later told there was an issue with ironmongery that had not been identified at the survey stage, despite the survey being carried out months earlier.
My property has been left with a temporary door for a long period, which has caused serious stress and security concerns. I eventually lost confidence in the company and formally cancelled the order. I sent a Letter Before Action requesting a full refund of £4,017.50, but this was not resolved.

In my experience, communication has been poor, deadlines have not been reliable, the CEO gest in contact to solve nothing, he is the source of the problems. looking at other rteviews, they will collect money from you and not deliver it, and trust people claiming via section 75. Stay away. To all of those that havent got their doors, I suggest raise via small claims and take the guy to court

Engage with these people at your peril. Prepare for weeks of being strung along with excuses, defensive behaviour and nothing to show. You can read as stipulated in their emails, they should produce a survey outcome within 48 hrs. Come one month later, there will be nothing to show and you'll be strung along. Ask them what they're doing and for proof, you'll be accused of being a difficult customer. Massive headache with nothing to show but a door damaged during the survey. Avoid.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS! This company uses pushy salesmen to pressure people into paying deposits then just leave you waiting for months. Ive had no back door since december (its now May) as I was told my bifold would take 8 weeks maximum so we got the opening ready and then was met with excuse after excuse. I have now claimed my money back through my bank and found a more reliable company. Avoid this unprofessional company!

Zero stars. I totally agree with all of the reviews on this page. This company have cost us thousands of pounds in delays on our home renovation. Incorrect measurements, every window and door incorrect sizes, glass and cills. Several different teams of fitters, every team who arrived had to take the windows out again and refit yet still not fitted correctly. We were promised window boards which never materialised and are left with an unfinished job and inadequate materials due to the CEO demanding the final balance before completion. After nearly 4 months of delays, shoddy workmanship and excuse after excuse, we refused to pay until all work was carried out correctly. CEO refused to send fitter back to complete until we pay. Received a text message from Jack asking us to pay as he had ‘kids to feed and get to school’ Craig obviously does not pay his staff. We then sent him an invoice for the extra costs we have incurred due to his companies mistakes and delays. He responded by doubling our so called bill and instructing a debt collector.

Paid deposit of £4427 on 22 January 2026 to the company's so-called CEO. 🤡
Promises have been made by both himself and the design team that the delivery/installation of the windows and a no frills composite door will be fast and done by the end of February 2026.
Following the payment they instantly seemed to lose interest in managing or even just initiating the order.
I was also unfortunate enough to get Jack as case handler, who I can see featuring in many of the negative reviews here. Despite their commitment, both in emails and via phone, that the manufacturer’s specification for my approval would be produced within 48hrs of the deposit paid, I had to already repeatedly(!) chase him at this stage for the order document, which he finally produced on 28th January, with a week delay. The company's CEO claimed that my emails went into a junk folder. Absolutely ridiculous!

There were already issues with the specifications and the wording of the email, basically asking me to take responsibility for their surveyor’s measurement, which I have refused and raised via email. This was ignored and I had to chase again repeatedly(!) and by then I was already asking for a refund given the unreliable and negligent nature of their communication.

On the 3rd February, they replied implying that I’m not allowed to get a refund, because paying the deposit is a “commitment” to the order, contradicting their previous emails stating that the manufacturing only starts after I approve the order and specifications. I agreed to the order, after being given reassurances that the company takes responsibility for the measurement of their own surveyor.

As per previous emails, they were supposed to communicate manufacturing lead times after this. I again had to chase for this basic information. They finally said 10 working days at that time.

After repeated chasing emails Jack’s incoherent excuses started:

On 24th February: “sometimes windows get made and the delivery can be delayed due to logistics and many other factors”. He refused to indicate a deadline for installation.

On 27th February: he changed lead time saying “normal lead times for these windows is 4weeks”, and that there is “manufacturing backlog” and that’s not their responsibility.

2nd March: he said “dug further into your order” and he came up with a new excuse that the “composite door has longer lead time” and “I would not expect the delay to exceed 21 working days”. That would give them to get installation done by 31st March.

6 March: I have informed them that I contacted the manufacturer myself and they do NOT experience manufacturing delays. Windows take 2 weeks, composite doors 2-3 weeks to produce. They ignored this email.

In the meantime, significant number of negative reviews appeared on Trustpilot mirroring my experience of delayed delivery often for months, contradictory excuses and constantly being lied to by TPD.

13 March: another chasing email sent. CEO replied using exaggerated language how hard the team works being “nationwide”, synchronising diaries etc etc and made further false promises to set a delivery/installation day by 15th March and that he “personally reach out”. He didn’t!

16th March: Still no delivery date provided. Chasing email sent. Further contradicting excuses made by Jack stating that windows are “still in production”, despite TPD’s CEO promising to set a delivery date by the day before.
Complaint made and a final ultimatum given that I require them to install and deliver by 31st March, as promised before. Email ignored once again.

31st March: still no communication, no windows or door installed whatsoever after nearly 3 months!
I initiated a chargeback via my bank on this day. Surprise, surprise TPD Teresa emailed me a few hours later with an “update on order” and further excuses saying that they experienced manufacturing delay with final production and that they’d contact me with a “clear update” by 3rd April. Needless to say they have NOT!

This is now 7th of April and they made no contact whatsoever, delivered and installed no windows or door and I strongly believe they haven’t even placed my order with the manufacturer!

Please do not use these make-believes, only if you are keen to be fleeced, ending up with no windows at all.
Their so-called CEO should probably focus on running his company rather than making videos for social media talking about “cowboys within the industry “. Don’t let him to take you for a ride!

Anybody else left in the same situation please contact BBC’s Rip off Britain. This company needs to be exposed in the national media.

I placed an order on 08/09/2025 and paid in full to Craig Gilbert-Prince. Lynda King came out to take measurements, and Jack Warnett handled the ordering, but 12 windows and doors were never delivered. I’ve asked for a refund multiple times, and each time I was told it would be processed “the next day” but it never happened. Chasing this repeatedly with no resolution, and I’m still waiting to receive my money back.

Trade price direct have once again changed the name of a review page to hide the scam/fraud they are carrying out. They seems to owe thousands to innocent people, myself included.

They keep calling for a sale, once you in and gave your money away. That’s it, they are done with you. No surveyor visit as agreed, never call back and they ignored all communication.

Ordered in January. 50% paid up front after fitters mearured up. Waited. Waited some more. Got told our order would arrive on the next batch. Three times! That was weeks ago. Phoned, emailed, messaged. No answer. Section 75 initiated. Avoid at all costs.

I placed an order in December 2025 and now 22/4/26 still no delivery. I made the mistake of paying in full as i was told my composite door and 5 windows would be fitting within 5 weeks. I am still waiting. I have requested a refund for the full amount of £5140 and no one is getting back to me now. I am so upset and frustrated. This company couldn't do enough for me when i first made a query. emails are ignored only people you can speak too are switchboard. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

Scammers, paid deposit and now they have disappeared , website, Facebook and instagram, phoned 4 times last week with the promise of someone will return the call, never happened, and can't get past the person answering the phone!surveyor must be a con artist too, to come round measure up and i even mentioned the bad reviews but no all was fine according to them! Going through bank to try and get money back and reported to police fraud. Don't touch these people!

Trade prices direct have changed the name of their company and then closed their review page on here, I assume because there are so many unhappy customers.
I cancelled my order before it was even sent to the manufacturer and requested a refund in full because I started seeing a huge amount of terrible feedback about both the owner of this company Craig and their practices.
I cancelled my order before it was sent to the manufacturer (there were delays with even getting the specifications and then they were all wrong so I completely lost faith) They have promised my refund has been sent but unsurprisingly it has not and I’ve had to make a formal charge back with my bank.
I’ll be contacting trading standards to report them.
We have a young family and times are really hard and it’s just devastating to be treated like this. I hope anyone that anyone who works for trade prices direct takes a long hard look at themselves.

I have had the most terrible experience with this company, repeated delays, promises of delivery dates, months and months of delays, outright lies being told about my order status. I have now accepted that I will not get my windows and had to take action to get my money refunded.

They have recently created a new Trustpilot profile. Before ordering search reviews for constructionmaterialsdirect .com which contains customer reviews of their experiences with TPD. These people will do everything to hide evidence of bad reviews. They post on instagram photos of instillations claiming they’ve done a great job, where those same customers are in ongoing disputes with them over the quality of instillation. Please do not order.

Positing this purely to help other people avoid getting into the same situation I have.
