From Hampi to Goa : a nightmare. Warning - Appalling Experience with Travelodesk India - Avoid using their services
I must share our recent horrendous experience with Travelodesk India to warn future clients. We booked their service based on Booking's recommendation, but it turned out to be a colossal mistake.

Despite shelling out a staggering 17,800 rupees, for what we expected to be a luxurious SUV experience, the reality was far from it – it was nothing short of a nightmare.
The driver's unprofessionalism began with over an hour of tardiness and blame-shifting, setting the tone for a disastrous journey. When we finally met him (after one with the company Travelodesk India on the phone - they clearly did not find any solution): he arrived without any courtesy or apology.
His accusatory tone regarding a supposed 5 am pickup time and his disregard for our explanation was both unprofessional and unpleasant. He did not have the localisation of our hotel and did not speak English : it was clearly a lack of communication between the company and the driver, as we shared all needed information 24h before.
Throughout the journey, the driver's behavior was unacceptable. From dangerous driving habits to ignoring our concerns about safety, his conduct was far from what one would expect. He was spleeting over the window, he put one of his legs crossed on the chair while driving and argued when we told him it was dangerous, he also stopped without asking us if we were okay. He was VERY rude and never cared about our comfort. He was always on the phone.
The vehicle, supposedly an SUV, turned out to be a total travesty – not even close to what one would consider acceptable, leaving us in constant discomfort throughout the 7.5-hour ordeal.
For the exorbitant price paid, one would expect a level of luxury that was sorely lacking. The price of the service was exorbitant compared to the local taxi market, making this experience even more regrettable.
Attempting to address these issues with Travelodesk India proved futile. They not only failed to take responsibility for the subpar service but also neglected our requests. They irresponsibly put the responsibility on us and suggested we should have complained during the trip, disregarding the fact that we had no means of communication.
Despite our explicit requests for compensation and a refund, they offered mere "potential discounts" for future trips with them, ignoring our concerns entirely.
To add to the frustration, they did not respond to our last message inquiring about their final decision. This lack of communication is utterly disrespectful and emphasizes their disregard for customer satisfaction.
My only option now is to share this horrific experience, and I am grateful that I was traveling with my dad. I shudder to think how traumatizing this could have been if I was alone. We felt anxious and uncomfortable during the entire 7.5-hour journey. Our experience with a previous Booking-recommended driver was excellent, making this ordeal even more disappointing.

I've made a booking via booking.com. Unfortunately, due to booking.com unclear cancelation policy, I've got into the problem. TravelODesk got my money but due to cancelation status they didn't want to return my money, they have received and also refused to pick me up. So they've received the money (1400 rupees, Uber drive cost 500), refused to refund and refused to do the job they've been paid for. All they did is suggested booking one more car. It's so miserable that they want 3000 rupees for 500 rupees Uber drive. Highly don't recommend using their services, coz once you pay they don't care about you

I didn’t book a taxi with this company, However they are a partner for booking.com through whom I booked a taxi last week.
I was travelling to India and to have a hassle free travel decided to book a taxi through booking.com.
However my travel itinerary turned out to be a bit complicated and I decided to cancel my booking and instead booked with a local taxi company. Booking.com offered a free cancellation and I got a confirmatory email to say that it has been cancelled.
The day I landed in India I got a Whatsapp message to say that a taxi has been assigned which I presumed to be from the company I booked with. There was no name or details of the sender. I then received a similar second message again with no sender details.
The next day I got a message to say that my taxi has arrived. The car seemed different from the one which i was messaged about. The driver spoke little English and I asked him if he was from the company I had booked with and he said yes. I asked him about the itinerary and he seemed a bit unsure. He then said that he would usually get instructions along the way. I asked him for a second time if he was from the company I had booked with and he said yes but he worked for another company. This seemed a bit strange and I didn’t quite know what to do.
After we travelled about 6km I got a call to say that there was a taxi waiting for me at the hotel. This turned out to be the taxi I had booked and the one I was travelling with was the one which I had cancelled.
I called Travelodesk agent who was quick to accuse me for getting into the taxi without checking the registration number with the company. When I told him that the driver confirmed the name of the company he said that I need not pay and they will cut it from the driver’s salary.
This seemed wrong as the driver was given instructions to pick me up, He was guilty of not speaking good English and hence maybe said yes to my questions. He wasn’t the one who created the confusion in the first place. It was the person at travelodesk who should have communicated the cancellation to the driver.
The driver told me that he was told to collect 6000 rupees. I felt for the driver and paid it as I didn’t want him to lose money from his salary. In the grand scheme of my expenses it didn’t matter as much, However the tenor of the conversation of the agent and his attitude made me angry and I made a formal complaint through booking.com.
The response from the company was even more shocking.
It said that despite the cancellation I had called the driver directly, travelled half the distance and paid the driver against their advice.
It beats the common sense of anyone who reads this response. How would I get the driver’s number unless it is sent to me? Why would I a call a driver when I have cancelled the booking? How could I travel half the journey in 6km when the journey distance is 135km. The only half truth in the response is that he said if I didn’t pay they would cut it from the driver’s salary.
This maybe a decent company for all purposes and may just have one employee who is trying to cover up his mistake by making false accusations.
The honourable thing to do when you make a mistake like this is to admit, apologise and deescalate a situation. If he had done that I wouldn’t have minded giving the 6000 rupees towards the driver’s efforts.
Our journey was very pleasant. The driver was super professional and helpful, we felt safe traveling with him :)

We booked 2 separate journeys with Travelodesk, the first we booked through Booking.com and it was they who passed the request to Travelodesk. Their driver was helpful, friendly and punctual. We were so impressed that we used them again booking directly with them. Their responses were always clear prompt and helpful. Their services are efficient and well priced.
We would happily use Travelodesk again and would be pleased to recommend them.
