I'm writing this review exactly one year after my hair transplant, as I wanted to wait until the final results had fully developed before sharing my experience.

I had approximately 2,200 grafts to rebuild my hairline and fill in the receding areas, and I can honestly say the results have exceeded every expectation I had. Looking at my hair today, it's hard to believe it's the same person. The hairline looks completely natural, the density is fantastic, and the transformation has been incredible.

I considered a hair transplant for many years. After extensive research and several virtual and in-person consultations with surgeons across Germany, Turkey and the Netherlands, I found TTRL two years ago. From the very first touchpoint, and throughout the entire journey, I felt in very good hands.
I was positively surprised that an in-person consultation was mandatory before any final decision. In that meeting, Dr. Fernando made sure I understood the risks and consequences, and helped me set realistic expectations rather than just selling the procedure.
My decision process was not straightforward, and I had many questions, even after the first meeting. The TTRL team answered all of them patiently and never pushed me toward a decision. What was clear from early on was this: if I ever got a transplant, it would be here.

As a woman who had been considering a hairline transplant for several years, I was incredibly apprehensive about taking the plunge. I have very long hair, and one of my biggest concerns was the donor area. I was worried about losing density at the back of my head and having a large section shaved. I had consultations with several clinics, including surgeons in Turkey, and was told I would need significantly more grafts than I actually did. Combined with hearing mixed experiences from friends regarding pain and recovery, I kept putting the procedure off.

Everything changed when I found The Treatment Rooms.

My first consultation with Dr Vara was over Teams, and within a very short space of time I felt reassured by his expertise. What stood out was that he was never pushy. Instead, he took the time to show me examples of women who had undergone similar procedures and encouraged me to ask as many questions as I wanted. He listened carefully to all of my concerns, particularly regarding the donor area, hair density, and pain. Unlike other clinics, he explained that extensive shaving and excessive graft harvesting would not be necessary in my case.

One of my greatest fears was the anaesthetic injections. Having spoken to friends who had undergone hair transplants elsewhere, I was expecting significant pain. To my surprise, the discomfort was minimal. The team used clever distraction techniques, and I would honestly rate it only 2–3 out of 10, even in the most sensitive areas. The anaesthetic process was over very quickly, and I was comfortable enough to sleep through much of the procedure.

I was also impressed by the attention to detail throughout the surgery. The team used high-spec magnification loupes to carefully select the highest quality grafts, and the professionalism of everyone involved was evident. The clinic itself was immaculate, modern, and exceptionally clean.

The aftercare has been second to none. Keisha carefully explained everything I needed to know, and I was provided with a comprehensive aftercare pack containing medications, supplies, and a detailed booklet. What impressed me most was that the care did not stop once the procedure was over. Dr Vara personally contacted me on a Sunday, just two days later, to check on my progress. Since then, the patient coordinators have regularly checked in with me, and the clinic has always been available by phone or email to answer any questions.

I genuinely cannot fault my experience. My hair is already growing extremely well, and I intend to update this review over the coming months as the results continue to develop. I already have plans to return later this year for an eyebrow transplant.

After having my first hair transplant overseas around 3 years ago, I recently underwent my second procedure at The Treatment Rooms London with Dr. Vara — this time focusing mainly on crown restoration while also reinforcing my frontal hairline, which had become less dense over time.

Like many people considering a hair transplant, I spent months researching clinics, including some of the top-rated centres in Istanbul and few in Europe. One thing that stood out to me about The Treatment Rooms was the authenticity of their results. Unlike many clinics that mainly showcase immediate post-op photos, they consistently show genuine before-and-after results at 10–12 months without shaving or misleading angles. That transparency played a huge role in my decision.

As a doctor working within the NHS in General Surgery, I understand how important surgical involvement, technical expertise, and long-term planning are — especially in cosmetic procedures. What impressed me most was Dr. Vara’s complete hands-on involvement from start to finish. He was involved right from extracting the very first graft all the way to implanting the final graft. Every decision was clearly made with my long-term donor preservation and future outcomes in mind rather than simply maximising graft numbers.

Approximately 2,360 grafts were extracted and implanted with extremely careful handling and minimal wastage of follicles. Donor management was one of the biggest factors for me because hair transplantation is ultimately a limited-resource procedure. You only have a finite donor supply, so choosing the right surgeon matters far more than trying to save a few hundred pounds.

What truly surprised me was how comfortable the entire experience was. Compared to my previous transplant overseas, this procedure was seamless. I’m currently post-op day 1 and have had virtually no swelling and minimal discomfort. Apart from routine paracetamol doses, I haven’t needed additional pain relief at all.

The entire team was professional, supportive, and incredibly hardworking throughout the process. While final results obviously take several months to fully assess, my experience so far has honestly been 10/10.

The treatment i received was first class. The results are fantastic and i am so glad i had it done. My procedure took from 07.00 to 18.00 on the day and i can say i was not in any pain at all either on the day or after. So, firstly I was recommended by a friend as I looking at having hair added to where it recedes as a widows peak. I reside in the usa and it was a very expensive procedure at least three times the price but i visit the UK every year so went for a consultation.
Dr Fernando made me feel very relaxed and calm and i felt like i was meeting an old friend. Compared to the USA consultation I just had, that was like a used car salesman, with this experience he explained the procedure how it was done and took measurements and even questions i didnt think about... I felt completely safe in his hands, and is something although not a life threatening procedure, trust is a big thing with a stranger with your facial recognition. He numbed the area with minimal pain and checked into make sure i was good, and explained before hand the healing process.. the process took about 4 hours i think for the surgery.... the afterwards care brochure was very well documented, in-fact amazingly even a simpleton like me could figure it out!

I had a consultation with Treatment Rooms.
My concern is strictly about pricing transparency. The clinic’s website lists £5–6 per graft for standard cases and £8–10 per graft for repair cases.

Prior to the consultation, I asked in writing about pricing for a partially shaven or long-hair (unshaven) transplant of 2,500–3,000 grafts. In response, the clinic stated that a two-day procedure typically ranges between £10,000–£16,000, depending on complexity.

Following the consultation, my case was assessed as a straightforward, non-repair case requiring approximately 1,700–1,900 grafts, fitting within a one-day procedure. I was then quoted:

• £10,200–£11,400 for a fully shaven procedure
• £17,000–£19,000 for a minimal/unshaven procedure

This places the unshaven quote for a one-day, sub-2,000 graft case above the upper end of the previously quoted range for a two-day, 2,500–3,000 graft unshaven case.

After raising this discrepancy, I was directed back to the website, which still does not reflect the pricing I was quoted.

I am not commenting on surgical skill, only on the inconsistency between advertised pricing, written correspondence, and consultation quotes. I would strongly encourage clearer and more transparent pricing so patients can make informed decisions before paying for a consultation.

Yesterday I had my hair transplant at The Treatment Rooms and I honestly couldn’t be happier with how everything went. I wanted to share this because the whole team deserves the highest respect for the care they gave me throughout the day.

I was pretty nervous that morning. It was my first ever surgery and I had no idea what to expect, but Dr Vara and the team made me feel calm from the moment I arrived. Even the anaesthesia injections weren’t anywhere near as bad as I’d imagined. Just a quick prick, and after that I didn’t feel a thing for the rest of the day.

In the afternoon they set me up with Netflix, and I was so relaxed I actually drifted off to sleep, which honestly shocked me given how nervous I’d been earlier.

Every member of staff I met was kind, reassuring, and genuinely professional. It makes such a difference when you feel looked after by people who actually care.

Before choosing them, I did look at a few other clinics in London, including one some friends had used. But what really sealed it for me was meeting the actual surgeon who would be operating on me during my pre-op, rather than going through consultants or sales people. I was seriously considering a hair transplant for over a year and visited six different clinics in London, mostly in Harley Street and west London. After a lot of due diligence and research, I found the treatment rooms and I can wholeheartedly say, this clinic is the gold standard for hair transplants in London (probably the world).

From the first consultation, I was filled with confidence. I did not speak with any “consultants” (sales people). I spoke directly to Dr. Fernando, who was my surgeon. Dr. Fernando had a good cultural understanding of a black man’s hairline, which was important to me and I felt was lacking in other clinics.

I’ve heard horror stories about the pain of this procedure, but after the first few minutes of discomfort while they numb the area, it’s pretty painless. I was sleeping for the first half of the procedure while they worked on the back of my head (donor area), and then I was watching Netflix on their widescreen TV while they worked on my hairline.

They have a very positive company culture and the customer service was exemplary. Everyone I met was on the same page - super professional, friendly, and reassuring.

The difference between the treatment rooms and the other clinics I visited is night and day, economy vs first class. I’m not able to give them any feedback on how to improve their service because they didn’t put one foot wrong. From pre-op to post-op care, they really go the extra mile. If I didn’t find them, the other clinics would have over harvested my donor area, they all quoted 1,500 - 2,000 grafts. Dr. Fernando was thorough and honest in his assessment and estimate 300-400 grafts, which was correct.

I don’t often give reviews, especially not long ones, but these guys are exceptional, and I can’t thank them enough.

If you’re looking for the best and care about your hairline, don’t waste your time looking any further than these guys, honestly.

I’ve spent many years researching a hair transplant clinic and visited a few. A friend (who had fantastic results) referred me to Dr R Vara who I met early last year. The practice is well run, staff are very professional and Dr Vara spent time explaining in much detail about what I could expect and help managed my expectations accordingly. I felt immediately comfortable and knew that this was the person and practice I would entrust my hair transplant to.

As soon as my diary allowed I booked my treatment and had my surgery yesterday. From the minute I arrived I was made to feel comfortable and time was taken to talk through what would be done in meticulous detail.
