As I needed a carpet a.s.a.p for my bedroom I went to United Carpets in Batley as they are quite local to me.
Firstly I was impressed with the number of choices of carpet. And I was impressed with the extent of knowledge of the carpets that I spoke about with the sales person Adam. He was interested in the reasons of the choices list I had gathered whilst browsing and gladly explained how each of them would be once fitted, e.g: how they would wear, (I needed enough for 2 bedrooms, landing and stairs).
He also came along to measure the areas a couple of days later, gave me prices, I agreed, he ordered what I needed and within just a few days my bedroom was carpeted.
The carpet for the other bedroom etc… is in storage with them until I have completed the decorating.
Really good customer service and communication all round. Thank you to all concerned.

I recently had carpets and laminate flooring fitted by United Carpets in Batley, and the experience has been extremely disappointing from start to finish.
The fitters arrived and appeared rushed, which is reflected in the poor quality of the installation. The carpet on the stairs has already come loose, creating a serious safety hazard. Both myself and my partner—who is heavily pregnant—have nearly fallen as a result. This is completely unacceptable and potentially dangerous.
The laminate flooring is also poorly fitted, with visible creases, dents, and sections that have not been secured properly. There are noticeable air pockets where the boards seem to have been cut too large, leaving the floor uneven and unfinished in appearance. The overall standard of workmanship is very poor.
After the first day of fitting, I called to complain about the issues and was told that someone would come out the following Tuesday to put things right. My partner took an additional day off work unpaid to be there for this appointment. She even called to confirm in advance, only for the fitter to not turn up at all. We were later told this was because he “didn’t have any glue,” which is completely unacceptable and shows a lack of organisation and professionalism.
I initially contacted the company via email and was told that a return visit would be arranged to resolve the issues. Despite this, no one followed up. After chasing again, I was contacted by the fitter, who said he would arrange a date to come back, but I have heard nothing since.
I am now left with unsafe and substandard flooring, out of pocket from lost earnings, and a complete lack of communication or resolution from the company. Based on this experience, I would not recommend United Carpets to anyone.

Nice friendly staff and very helpful. Once we told them what we wanted, they showed me what they had available at the right price.
Will definitely ues again.

Excellent service. Salesperson was very helpful and not pressuring at all . Gave us options on various carpet and prices suitable for the area we needed doing. Quick fitting of the carpet at our convenience. Very happy with our new stair carpet and quality. Price was great with added offers

I needed my carpet to be fitted within a short time and staff were very helpful to make sure this happened. The carpet is a very good quality and looks well. I’m thoroughly satisfied .

I highly recommend my local store in Batley and have taken family and friends recently who have not been disappointed.

We ordered from the Batley Store, we spoke with a lady called Lesley over the phone to confirm our order and she was really helpful and kept us up to date throughout. The carpet arrived after only a few days and the 2 guys who fitted it were punctual and did a good job, keeping everything tidy.
Definitely recommend.

I was left waiting in the showroom ages without asking if I needed help and the place was empty I do like to be left to browse a little but felt it was too much . Also not given the correct information regarding delivery

Excellent fitters, very helpful.

2 chaps very helpful. We wanted a bedroom carpet. Some had lead times little too long for us to wait. They helped determine which we could have sooner. Also helped with info like underlay, glue and door plate which would prevent a trip hazard. Thank you for your time and patience.

The flooring I ordered was out of stock so it was upgraded at no extra cost. Very helpful staff and fitter.

Bought carpet, excellent service and honest advise in shop (Batley) fast fitting and the fitter Derrick was very fast, knowledgeable and polite, would highly recommend.
