Excellent service from beginning to end. A great welcome when I entered the shop. The gent who came to measure up gave excellent advice on how to keep costs down (as it was a tricky hall, landing and stairs with a stair lift). The fitter was brilliant, took his time and ensured that it was a professional finish. Got a follow up call from the shop a week later asking if we were happy with everything. Would definitely recommend United Carpets to friends and family.

Today I called and spoken to a very rude lady from the Stechford Birmingham store in regards to a carpet fitted at my parents home.
The carpet was placed in late 2021 and now in June 2023 the carpet is fit for the skip, the lint comes out of it, it’s changed colour with the sunlight in places and it’s shrunk away from the floor gripper.
I called the lady who gave us the excuse that ‘’it’s because you had the carpet cleaned during this time and if you get carpet wet it will do this’’.
The other carpets that we’ve had for years have NEVER done this!
If this is the case then why are carpet cleaners sold?
It’s a feeble excuse for their bad quality products!
So basically, this is a light grey carpet that you can’t clean during its entire lifetime in your home because it will shrink and will basically fall apart after being cleaned.
This woman would not let me speak, continued to talk over me and got all my information wrong because she can’t listen while she’s talking so much in a tone that makes you feel like it’s your fault their carpets are rubbish, she said ‘you told me it was a few weeks ago but it wasn’t it was 2021’. I had to stop her to say that was not what I said and that I couldn’t recall the date but I knew it was some months back.
Please just save your money and buy from somewhere else, unless you can afford to have a new carpet fitted every 14 months and you don’t have elderly relatives that could trip over the bad fitting.

Not so good experience with the fitters very rude and abrupt pair who rushed the job putting the metal bars in completely the wrong place and did nothing but speak extremely loud in their own language all the time they were in my home ,which I find very disrespectful when your working in some ones home

Only received part of my order, 4 weeks later still hasn’t been resolved

Mrs Arif, gave good advice and wasn’t pushy, allowed us time to look around comfortably and choose my carpets. They even held on to my carpet at the warehouse, until I completed my renovations, which took longer than anticipated.
Carpet fitter Pete did an amazing job with fitting. Respectful to property, didn’t rush the job and cleaned up before leaving.

Celia & team at the Stechford branch are absolutely brilliant at assisting you with whatever flooring type you need from start to finish. From the point of first stepping through the door, you're assisted in choice and best floor type for your needs. These people are floor experts, I always make United Carpets my first port of call when looking or purchasing flooring of any kind.
I highly recommend them for expertise, price, quality and customer care.

Fitted our house out when we moved in a few years ago, all carpets still going strong, replacing as needed- United Carpets just fitted our daughter's bedroom carpet, good price, expert fitting, top service. Will use again

Just had our stairs and landing carpet fitted by Peter. The service from purchase to fitting has been really good. I bought from SCS last year and that was an appalling service. There is a huge choice of carpet to suit all tastes and price range. On the day of fitting, there was a problem with one of the vans but jobs were re-organised to ensure the fittings went ahead which was very much appreciated. I won’t be going anywhere else in future!

Staff in store very helpful. Carpet fitter not very nice at all. Had to call back out to correct fitting and he wasn’t happy about it. Then had to finish the correction myself. Still need to have correction on another section but will not call back out as it will be same fitter.

I ordered a carpet for the master bedroom online but when the fitter arrived it was the wrong size and looked nothing like the carpet I ordered. When the fitter phoned the shop they blamed me for measuring wrong.
I could not check the order as they had not sent me any confirmation of the order except a 'Payworld' receipt for the payment.
I phoned head office and it transpired that they had sent the carpet that was ordered and fitted three months before for a smaller bedroom. When I phoned the shop and told them they did not apologise only said that it would be at least a week before it could be fitted. So I cancelled the order and went elsewhere. The young lady at head office was the only one who apologised and she was very helpful and polite.

Had a good experience having someone come and measure up for carpet and ordering carpet with no problem. As we had 3 rooms and HSL to be fitted, it was booked in over 2 days. Day 1 was told PM appointment, the fitter confirmed the measurements hadn't been taken correctly which caused a delay to fitting and a new carpet was brought out later that night. Day 2 I asked for AM appointment due to childcare restrictions and fitters turned up at 3PM again. I called the shop at 11AM to find out ETA no mention that the carpet I ordered had not been delivered. Received a call at 2PM to say carpet wasn't there but could have an alternative. I ordered a pale cream, the alternative was more of a tan colour to which I said no. I was offered a carpet I had fitted the night before a silver which I accepted. Fitter brought in the carpet which was not the carpet I agreed to this was grey not silver as agreed on the phone. Due to lateness in the day and needing a carpet laid to live in the house conceded to accept the grey as they could not tell me when the carpet I ordered would be delivered and had already moved all the furniture to accommodate fitters. Frustrating as they obviously knew before today the carpet I ordered was not delivered. The right thing to do would have been to re-arrange the fitting for whole day and not drop at the last minute to ensure the customer is not inconvenienced and received the carpet they paid for. The fitters however over both days we really kind/respectful guys and cannot fault their service.

Went to view and order carpets today. The woman on the counter at the stetchford store was really amazing, unfortunately I didn’t catch her name. we left the store knowing in future thats where we would return! All down to one employee. thank you!

DO NOT BUY FROM THESE . Had a stair and landing carpet fitted last December and it’s shocking , there is only myself and husband who live in our house , family visit one / twice a week so it’s not wear and tear , these problems started appearing around 3/4 months ago there’s a bald patch appearing on middle step and the edges up the side of the stairs are all fraying .

Absolutely disgusting very rude staff didn't wanna no that there fitter has destroyed my kitchen vinyl and have also ripped my hallway carpet would never go here again avoid at all costs
