Let me start first by stating that I am still finding roofing nails that mysteriously show up in my driveway. I can only assume that they are blowing and falling off from being left on the roof. UBGCI replaced the roof in April of 2023. Their contract states "remove roofing on all areas of the home". The roof was not replaced on the porch in the front of the house or a small porch roof on the back of the house. I should mention that it wasn't I who contracted UBGCI, I purchased the home in October of 2023. I reached out to the previous owners only to find that they were not aware that those two roofs were not replaced and I quote their response "I would think those roofs would be included, so that seems odd to me." I don't have a dog in the fight because the contract was between the previous owner and the contractor. However, I did contact the contractor in regards to this to find the reply from Mr Fairman was that those roofs were not part of the contract. The first line on the contract states "Remove existing roofing on all areas of home". How can that be misinterpreted to not include the porch roofs. There was a fire pit in the back yard prior to me removing it and it was as if the contractor used it to dispose of used roofing nails. There was hand full after hand full of nails, and as previously stated I still periodically find a roofing nail in the driveway after living here for 20 months. Line eight, clean and remove all debris associated with job scope, they must assume nails are not part of the debris associated.
Clearly would not recommend this company!
