Car insurance auto renewal.
Firstly it's not at all obvious that this is what I signed up for. So to be informed a few days before my cover ended that the policy had been renewed at double the previous annual price was incredibly annoying and time consuming to sort out. Opting out of the auto renewel is deliberately complicated- no answer on the customer helpline 15min + no answer, and no opt out links in the online portal [ the link is hidden at the bottom of one of 8 PDFs in the policy documents.
The fact that my insurance quote was twice that of the previous year only underlines the fact that the Vavista's auto renewal policy is designed to catch you out. It's a very unpleasant Customer Experience
to feel conned in this way.

A company I want to do business with

Vavista was not only the most competitive quote, but ease of use on their website at the business end of securing my car insurance was very noticeable. In addition, with them being part of vital tree planting operations - it made me think this is a company I want to do business with.

Excellent Service and Reliable Coverage!
I’ve had my car insured with VAVISTA for a while, and I’m really happy with their service. The prices are fair, and their customer support is always friendly and helpful. When I needed to file a claim, the process was fast and easy, with clear communication every step of the way. I feel confident and protected knowing my car is covered by them. Highly recommend!

DO NOT USE- STAY CLEAR

DO NOT USE - pre inception told no docs needed, then told documents needed before 21 days after policy started so sent them and received confirmation, then on policy start date they wrote to say they were cancelling due to not receiving documents and we’d be charged. Swiftly cancelled my end and reported to FCA and action fraud. Can’t even imagine what they would do when handling claims when they can’t figure out their own systems and try to extort customers using fees that are inflicted by the companies failings and idiocy

Absolute con insurance company

Absolute con insurance company, I been driving 30+ years no accidents and got car insurance no problem at all, i currently changed address which I notified them they wanted £50 and now they saying they crnt insure me at my new address so only option was to cancel which then they wanted £250 cancellation fee even though it wasn’t my fault I had to cancel, they explained if I didn’t cancel my policy would be void but would still take monthly payments KEEP WELL AWAY ABSOLUTE CON

Car insurance.

Found the link on Comparison site. Price was excellent. Filled in all details quickly and easily. Unfortunately site would not process payment. Contacted customer services who went through the process again quickly. because the operative had to go through the form filing again there should have been a surcharge. But because it was not my fault the payment process wouldn't work on the website the manager greed to waive this. All in all very helpful and saved me a lot money on my car insurance.

write a review BEFORE the service even starts?

How can anyone give anyone money and then write a review BEFORE the service even starts? forgive me for being old fashioned but i hate all this online account crap, while its not because i DON'T understand how online works that i hate it, but because i DO understand, I have to give them credit when they rang me today at the worse possible time (before my service starts but after i have paid) about extras, she let me complain without interruption, for that 5 stars, however ringing in the first place no stars, if i wanted breakdown etc i would have selected it BEFORE i joined, still annoyed i had to enter a phone number to get cover from anyone, loads more calls expected now that's a no star but was same for them all.

I will only really know if theses are good IF i need to contact them due to a claim, about 15 years i switched to a company i had never heard of when i was hit by one of there members and everything was sorted within 4 weeks, dragged out my current insurer,

The worst insurance company

This vavista insurance company is a big mistake and deserves to be shut down, they go about extorting vulnerable customers that comes their way. They deserve no star rating at all.
They struggle to understand customer’s queries or pretend not to understand what customers need are.

They also claim what they do not earn using fraudulent policy to justify their dubious claims and thereby use credit control agencies to threaten customers

Please do not insure your car or property with them else you will surely regret it.

If its this amount of trouble taking insurance out, imagine what it would be like if you had to claim

Its probably not best to send emails inviting reviews when you cant resolve issues.
Be aware Vavista is a sister company of Go Skippy they are both subsidaries of Somerset Bridge Insurance Services. I came across them through a comparison site . I require business insurance on my personal vehicle to cover travelling to teach and attend different locations. On these trips I will sometimes take a collegue or my partner if its a week away. I declared the requirement for business use, and after been diverted to both companies websites i ensured that this option was checked and filled in. Go skippy had a fault on their system which wouldnt allow me to pay online, and to call. I rang and was told I would have to pay an admin fee of £20 for taking the policy out on line. They then informed me the businesss use on their policy would a: would only cover me for travel to oneplace of business and b: only for myself in the vehicle no passengers. I tried to clarify this wasnt for hire and reward etc. They were adamant that passengers werent covered and it was only to one place of work. To me this is the old social domestic pleasure and commuting. So its not suitable. I then went to the next quote on the list which is from vavista. Fill in all the same sections including business use. Its a dearer quote and manage to pay for the policy. I then notice in the small print on the email, they are a subsidary of Somerset Bridge Insurance services. So wonder If im going to have the same problem. I send an email asking verification in regards passengers and business locations. The first response states it covers to four different places of work. I send a second email asking again about passengers, the response comes back, no any passengers wouldnt be covered. I again reiterate its not for hire and reward and ask to make a complaint as I now have insurance, which whilst covering me, is not exactly what I need. My concern is with these companies offering chea insurance, a lot of people will have selected them, think they have business use and are covered, and may not have the full cover they think they have. After trying to raise a complaint i have had nothing back, and I wonder if i try and cancel i will have the headache of been charged for doing so.
UPDATE following a call from a nice lady from Vavista. It would appear what two people told me wasn't quite correct. Carrying of passengers is covered but tucked away in another part of the small print covering car sharing. I am now awaiting confirmation of this via email. Their business insurance only covers you for travel to and from 4 places of work though. They have taken this on board as a training issue and will hopefully clarify it on their documentation.
