I have nothing but praise for Wedotrades! I applied online for a plumber to reseal a shower and they responded inside two hours (may have been immediately - I was out for two hours!) They called me and so did a plumber, Handyman Nottingham, who gave me a quote over the phone and booked a date. He arrived punctually, did an excellent job and even sorted a dripping tap which we hadn't arranged. He left the room tidy and was very pleasant. It was all so easy - no spending ages having to phone and wait for responses. I would certainly use Wedotrades again.

I have used wedotrades on 2 occasions (for a cleaner and a builder) in the last 12 months and in both cases I've got exactly what I hoped for. I've received a call from them to check exactly what my requirements were and then I received calls from 3 tradesmen in each case to arrange to visit me to quote on the jobs required.

All of the builders had to come to quote during the evening too as I work away a lot of the time but were all happy to do so as they all said that they were very busy - good to hear in the current climate!

12 months later, I'm still using the cleaner I found via the site and have recommended the site to others.

Whilst on holiday my nineteen year old son,broke his bedroom window.I was stressing which is not what i needed on holiday.
What I really needed was it fixing asap.I went on the internet and put in I need a glazier, wedotrades came up, I got two right near were I live.
The one I choose did a very good job he came out of working hours.
I was able to look at his profile on wedotrades website and the work he had done for other customers.Well done Mathew.I will use him again and I will definatly use wedotrades when looking for any type of work man.
Just found a decorator on wedotrades.co.uk after having two quotes he is starting work next week.

I used Wedotrades to find someone to help me with my roofing, they found me 5 tradesmen who came and quoted for me. I was very pleased with how quick and efficient their website worked to do this and I ended up with a excellent deal and a friendly guy to fix my problem. I would recommend Wedo to my friends and family for its easy and effective way of finding a good trades person to do the job well done.

Hi, I am a plumber based in Doncaster, and felt id write this review, based on what im reading here regarding this company.

I have been with wedotrades for 18 months or so, and am very happy with the service (in general).
Initially i had issues, but this was me not reading paperwork. I had a profile to setup, and some other options to have setup (relating to where i wanted to limit my work...postcode areas). When i rang them about low volume of work (i had a couple in the first 2 months or so), they told me about this, the guy even went to the lengths of getting me to send him logos and some information, so he could initially set me up on their system properly (something i could have done if id have read what came with the account). He then pointed me to where i should add information etc...managing my 'website' that they provide.

After this, the jobs rose slightly...but after a couple of good feedbacks from customers...started getting wedotrades ringing ME to see if i could take on some work in my general area. This is something thats continued, and over the long term, its worth me staying with them.
This also made me check out other sites that provide this service, such as ratedpeople. Rated people also have people who dont seem to be happy, but i think there are a lot of factors that people dont factor in.
I know a locksmith with wedotrades, and his work can be far and wide, due to not enough work around it seems. But he does get calls.
Directories such as this, i think, are only as good as the userbase they have....if the works not their for paticular trades, in paticular areas, i dont think they can be blamed.
Do your research is all id say. I havent been approached by a salesman, so not sure on that issue....but then, salesman will be salesman.
Test it our for yourself...do your homework. dont take peoples word...a lot of malicious people out there in my experience. I do wonder what happens to the cowboy builders who use services such as this....given this service goes on customer feedback for increased work....maybe they all come to sites like this to have a rant!!

I am suprised to see some of the comments made here about Wedotrades, I have been with them for 15 months now and although at first the amount of leads I received were not mind blowing I did convert quite a lot in to work, in fact made a healthy profit. I suggest you do what I did and work with the staff who will go out of their way to help you and you will get a result.
I would recommend this company to anybody, its working well for me.

Do not use this company because they are robbers. We had signed a 12 month agreement and after 6 months we didn't get one enquiry, so I contacted them to ask if I could terminate the contract, they told me this was not possible and I still had 18 months remaining, so I told them I had only signed a 12 month agreement and asked them to send me a copy of the agreement. A week later it arrived but to my amazement they had crossed out 12 months and in pen had written 24 months!!!!!!!!
And they demanded I would have to pay double the agreed sum!
Fortunately I had a copy of the original agreement showing only a 12 month agreement, so I have passed this on to the trading standards and our solicitor.
Do not use!!

These guys are robbers! The government should have some sort of a system in place to stop these people from robbing peoples money. We paid over £4000.00 and up to now (3 months) we have not received one sales lead. One of the most disgraceful companies ever, that is all I have to say.

Would give them less than one star if possible! We paid over £2000 annual fee to wedotrades to gain 'more work' as the salesman put it. Over a period of one quarter got less than 10 potential leads, none of which actually led into jobs (2 of which were agencies looking to sign up people!). Salespeople make false promises and downright lie, they give you a minimum number of leads guarantee which they have not included in their T&Cs and hence dispute if you're not happy... They couldn't even get the basic Google search results to work, completely unhelpful and very unprofessional. They also take all the possible payment details from you so that if one fails they can charge you another way (and they will) and then randomly take payments on dates that were not agreed or not even advised to you. Load of rubbish, it's like daylight robbery. Stay well away!

A customer of mine paid this outfit over £1500 to gain 'more work' as the salesman put it.

After looking at what they do it appears they just run google adword campaigns for their own site, something he could have done for a fraction of the cost and got himself alot 'more work' than these cowboys did.

This is just another trandesman directory looking to exploit the need for work in bad times, stay away!
