A lovely greenhouse but poor attention to detail. The guttering came away in one corner, the door bolts didn’t line up properly and there is no rain skirt around the bottom of the greenhouse so water gets in underneath. Disappointing lapses especially the skirt as we had to spend quite a lot of money getting one made of cedar. Otherwise, very beautiful building.

From my first phone call to Woodpecker Joinery to completion of installation of my greenhouse it has been a joy. The company couldn’t have been more helpful. The guys who fitted it were friendly, very polite and helpful. Can’t wait to play in my new British built, and excellent standard greenhouse. Thank you Woodpecker Joinery.

I ordered my greenhouse at Hampton Court Flower Show and I can honestly say, the service from start to finish has been excellent! All my queries were answered quickly. When the three guys came to install it last week, they were amazing - punctual, friendly and very professional! We love our new greenhouse! If you’re thinking of ordering a greenhouse, I couldn’t recommend Woodpecker Joinery more highly!

We have just had a heritage greenhouse installed. We had fantastic service right from ordering with Lauren, whilst visiting the showroom back in February to installation in September. Lauren provided great base plans for our builder to work from and was very helpful with any questions we had. Craig and the installation teams did an amazing job of installing our greenhouse over 2 days. They were professional throughout, working hard and sorted out any issues. We are so pleased with the greenhouse and look forward to using it over the years to come. We'd thoroughly recommend the company for the quality of the greenhouse, competitive pricing and excellent service provided.

A lovely company to deal with and always helpful

We approached Woodpecker Joinery with a proposal for cooperation. Although there was initial interest on their side, the communication quickly came to a complete standstill – despite our repeated follow-ups and detailed materials provided. For several months we waited for a clear response, which never came.

Because of their silence, we lost potential customers who were interested in Victorian greenhouses but we were unable to offer them anything concrete. If this is how the company treats business partners, one has to wonder how they treat their end customers.

Such behavior is, in our view, highly unprofessional and unreliable.

It has been a delight to deal with this company.From my initial enquiry throughout the office staff have been very helpful and guided us through the process advising on base etc.
The construction chaps arrived on time and couldn't. Have been more pleasant.
We are so pleased with our greenhouse and can’t wait for the weather to cool down to start planting.

I had an excellent experience dealing with Adam and Vernon at Woodpecker Joinery. I ordered a bespoke greenhouse roof for an existing brick structure, so there was much communication regarding dimensions and various requirements. This did take some time, but I am very pleased with the resulting work. The installation team of 3 had an early start from the Joinery, driving to my home on the south coast and completed the installation in a single day in the rain. All who visit are impressed!

From my first enquiry in August 2024 to erection of my greenhouse in February 2025 the service was outstanding. The office staff especially Vernon answered all my questions in a helpful manner and the construction chaps were so very polite and worked really hard and efficiently.

The whole process from ordering to delivery and erection of the greenhouse was excellent together with a willingness to adapt the product to meet my requirements.
I would thoroughly recommend Woodpecker Joinery.

As a previous customer from 2012 you have exceeded all of my expectations. Lauren provided excellent customer support when my wife and I visited the showroom in August, and she took the order. I would like to thank Vernon for his help when I had questions about the dwarf wall base, and Ian for the design and adjustments to the original specifications. Lastly a huge thank you to Adam and Jake for their professional demeanour and expert installation. I have to say my greenhouse looks amazing, and has had the whole neighbourhood talking about it. It is with great pleasure that I award Woodpecker Joinery 5 stars.

The customer service was excellent from start to finish and the product (a tall coldframe) is of excellent quality.

The coldframe arrived on time (despite some horrendous weather) and was erected with the minimum of fuss and the maximum in skill and speed.

I would not hesitate to recommend this company.

I can highly recommend woodpecker joinery, the service they gave from ordering to delivery and installation was excellent, I am absolutely delighted with my cold frame, the quality and craftsmanship is excellent, it looks great on my patio and will be very useful to me for years to come.

All round excellent. Good comms throughout, great product, excellent value, very good quality, no surprises, delivered and erected as promised. Highly recommended.

I am so pleased that I eventually decided to get my Cedar Greenhouse from Woodpecker Joinery.

The product and components supplied are of very high quality and durability and the service level sitting behind their product from start to finish was excellent.

To be honest I did have some background concerns when placing my order about the distance between my house (NE Scotland) and Woodpecker's operational base in Staffordshire and if this would turn out to be an issue.
I'm very pleased to be able to confirm this concern was unfounded as this company travels and operates in all corners of the UK. This scope covers delivery, installation and back up.
Communications and guidance when requested concerning pre and post-delivery was excellent.

I'd like to take this opportunity to make a special call out to Vernon for the initial guidance and help, Craig and Adam for the initial fit, Nick and Gerard for finishing the job off so promptly and Louise for the admin/invoicing.

Lastly a big thank you to yourself Adam Smallwood for ensuring a good strong ending.

All in all - a very good experence

I ordered the Chartley growers greenhouse in 18 by 12 foot red cedar and I am so pleased with it. The 3 installers arrived promptly and worked all day to get it finished early, despite a lot of hefty showers and high winds. The extra high roof is great if you want to plant permanently into the soil. Really lovely finish all round.

Woodpecker Joinery are professional from start to finish - product is excellent quality and value, bearing in mind that not only are the best high spec materials used thruout but prices quoted include installation by their own teams who work like well oiled machines with very sociable attitudes. The extra height also makes the top shelf much more useful as does staging that is height adjustable.
No penny pinching short specs - (that leave a sour taste) - with this Company.

Had my greenhouse installed end of January 2023 (after an almost seven month wait from my original order). All of a sudden a pane of glass in the roof shattered for no apparent reason.
- no bird strike,
- no falling debris.
No evidence of a strike of any kind!

Only thing I can think of is that when fitted the pane was put in incorrectly and put under stress so that it would spontaneously shatter. And did it shatter!! into thousands of tiny VERY sharp pieces!

I rang them and spoke to a Vernon, who was very dismissive and wanted to charge £75 to replace it (I can't do it, I'm in a wheelchair). So emailed them the evidence (photos) - Silence!!

Better to buy from an alternative, where the glass is horticultural and can be changed simply and easier to manage if broken.

Appalling customer service and no confidence in their products.

Update:-
I have just been in contact with their customer services who have offered to replace the pane for a reduced cost of £50 and to perform it on 4 January 2024. I shall amend this review following that date.

Update 2:-
Woodpecker Joinery turned up after trying to reschedule for a later date, which I refused, as the arrangement was for 4 January.
Speaking to one of the two workmen that turned up, he stated that it was probably a screw out of place that caused the glass to shatter. He also stated that this does occur. This does not bode well for the workmanship when Woodpecker Joinery first erected the greenhouse. I am less than impressed, so my review remains.
In addition, the small shards of glass are very sharp and dangerous. Anyone with small children or pets be warned as the glass shattered everywhere.

In a world where good workmanship and decent customer service seem to be hard to find, this Company bucks the trend. I have bought two greenhouses from Woodpecker Joinery, the first being a bespoke lean-to a few years back, and this December a decagonal Dagdale, both for use as a tropical butterfly house. I had the same experience on both occasions. Staff are really helpful in getting all the specs right, the greenhouses are beautifully built and are installed by friendly and helpful guys who clearly took pride in their work and ensured everything was exactly how I wanted.
