Horrendous experience. I ordered the clip ins in “ ice queen platinum “ and they arrived a horrible grey purple over toned shade. Emailed their customer service to return them got an automated email which provided me with a return address which I later was told only by me messaging them on instagram that this is no longer their address and too bad so sad if they got lost in the post it’s my problem. An actual joke.

This website may seem legit but it is a scam. I ordered a halo to be delivered standard shipping from Sydney to Tasmania in January. The parcel never arrived. It has almost been a month now. The only contact for them is via email and they are refusing to refund. They would have insurance to cover if parcels are lost via the post. I wish I listened to the reviews! Do not risk it - shop extensions from other credible aus sites.

I bought a hair extension from them which didn’t match my hair colour. I returned it and for a month now since they received it , they said they refunded my money which I didn’t get it until now. I sent many emails with no reply. They are stealing your money and never get it back. Never buy from them again

UPDATE: they responded to this review saying they did send an email. I actually sent them an email on 4/02/2025 to support team and they didn’t respond to me. They stole my money.
I tried to attach a photo of proof of the email I sent to them but it doesn’t let you attach any photos on here. I’ve sent multiple emails and they didn’t get back to me. ZALA hair is a scam!! They can’t even return back the money I paid despite them receiving back their package as I got it .

Please DO NOT buy from this company, they are a SCAM. I ordered extensions for my wedding and nearly 2 months of wait they never rocked up. And when I emailed them they were falsely promising that is it coming tomorrow or the next day for 3 weeks. To top it off when I asked for a refund they only refunded me partially (which I am still waiting for) They take your money and don't care about customers, it is disgusting.

Received hair halo and the quality is absolutely a sheer mimic of dolls hair. Same smell & texture.
It does not look like human hair & certainly smells & feels like plastic.
I will be now getting the hair tested for authenticity & will update once I have this completed & will then proceed with action.

I wore the Zala clip-in extensions for my wedding to get a Hollywood wave look with volume. I cannot fault them! They worked perfectly and I can wear them again and again. Couldn't spot my natural hair from the extensions, curled easily with no damage.

So far it has been not a good experience i have received my order an seen that there was another order that i didnt pick that came with my order an was charged also my choice of extensions were not what i excepted so i have mailed back my order along with the item i was wrongly charged for an havent been able to reach any customer service since they literally dont have any customer service that you can call and talk to. I was also so frustrated that the return policy states that even though i had to pay for shipping they also charge you for shipping even though i paid so why charge someone. I will update how it goes from here its been over a week since i mailed these orders back.

Awful customer service. I was sent the wrong extensions (black when I had ordered champagne blonde) and instead of an apology I got an email that insinuated that I was lying and that I hadn’t received the wrong order. Then my correct order was delayed because they wouldn’t send out the correct ones until I had returned the incorrect extensions and this had been processed. Then the return system was down so I had to pay for the $18 return myself even though I didn’t even order these incorrect extensions (although they did refund me for this). They also said in several emails that I would receive free gifts with the correct extensions due to the inconvenience but I didn’t receive anything. 0/5 stars

I have been wearing tape hair extensions for over 10 years ordered from here for the first time,worse quality then the cheapest alternatives .The quality is so poor that the ends are thicker then the top of the hair that's only one week after wearing them ! The ends are fluffy and get tangled 5 minutes after straightening them ,I would not even wear these for free not ordering from you again

I purchased Zala clip-on extensions about 3 weeks ago through my hairdresser. Within 2 weeks, the hair is matted and breaking. It is very poor hair. My hairdresser and myself contacted Zala about the problem. Their customer service stinks! They wouldn't refund my money which was $75.00. What a big waste of money. They do not care about their customers or the satisfaction of valuable customers. Beware of this company! Their quality of hair is poor,and they will not accommodate customers.

I am very happy with my 20inch extensions in the shade “snickers”, the shipping was very quick and the hair was smooth, package was nice and presentable! I will be purchasing from they company definitely again. :)

Started using Zala about 3-4 years ago on the advice of my hair dresser. Recent orders for my daughter and myself have been terrible quality compared to what it was. They’ve changed something. My daughter wears her extensions daily, I wear mine occasionally. Her original order years ago lasted about 6 months. The recent order lasted a month before the breakage shortened the extensions by about 4 inches. They did a warranty exchange, but the new ones are just as bad after about 6 weeks. I’ve worn mine about a dozen times. Both my daughter’s and mine feel like Barbie doll hair… plastic. They aren’t soft, tangle easy, and mine feel itchy when they brush my shoulders. I would not recommend this product. The extension from Sally’s feel like real hair. My daughter just got new ones from there. We will see how they hold up. Also as mentioned by other reviewers the medium blonde hair I got has intermittent strands of black. Makes no sense. Zala has gone down hill.

Im just really disappointed with their exchange process which they claim is really hassle free and easy. Had to exchange for a different colour and their return shipping took ages. Now my extensions might not arrive in time for my wedding hair trial and the customer service rep is arguing with me on the date of when the return package arrived to them, even though I’ve sent a screenshot of when it arrived. Then, finally the exchange gets processed, and they slap me with an extra fee because they decided not to honour the price of the extensions that I bought during a sale (which was not mentioned to me when I asked about the exchange process). Poor communication and clearly just don’t care about their customers. My wedding hairdresser recommends all her clients to this brand and I’ve mentioned this multiple times, you’d think they’d try and make sure her clients have a better experience.

Love my Zala clip in hair extensions. Very comfy, thick, and natural looking. I've had mine over 7 years and they have held up so well- I still wear them to this day. Only small complaint is with my recent order- my extensions I've received have random black hairs throughout them (which I've seen is common in other reviews) and the colour chestnut brown has a 'green' tone to them- this may be a dealbreaker for some. I don't mind but it does make me consider looking at other brands due to these two reasons. Would also be good to see a shade between rich mocha brown & chestnut brown please.

I was really excited to try Zala hair extensions. But unfortunately I was extremely disappointed upon arrival of my product. Such incredibly poor quality! They claim human hair- well, maybe a VERY small percentage is human, the rest is definitely synthetic. It shed unbelievably. After brushing it for the first time with the brush I bought from Zala, the brush was completely full of hair. The ends were so frayed. All different lengths, with longer pieces that you could just pull right out. It was really bad. I washed and conditioned it and used the spray oil I also purchased from Zala, per their recommendation and it shed even more after that. I never even got to wear it ONCE because I was so embarrassed by the shabby quality . And I paid over $225 for the ponytail and additional suggested products for upkeep. I requested my money back but never received it. I am so disappointed! Don’t waste you money. Do not recommend. If I had the choice not to give it any stars I would.

Hair gets nasty and matted on first wear! Beware the hair feels, looks, and smells synthetic. I can’t even wear the hair a few hours without it getting all balled up. Looks super embarrassing to wear out. I contacted customer support and they said the hair only last three months. I would never order hair from this company again!

Amazing customer service - was hair matched on the Monday and received the hair by Tuesday! The colour is spot on and the quality is much better than competitors! Will be a returning customer for sure.
