As a first experience with YL, it's a very good one. The only downside is that I didn’t know that the package would come from Hong Kong and that some customs fees would be due.

Quick and easy ordering, very competitive price, quick ship.

Absolutely garbage service, they say shipped within 2 days and delivery in 7-8. Its been 3 weeks and nothing, keep getting messages that its on the way, no phone call as requested and their phone number won't work. The package is being tracked out of Hong Kong seems wrong. I would definitely shop elsewhere, Best buy had the camera here in 4 days! The attitude of Gord is also very unsettling, same generic email and zero solutions to fix the issue.
Garbage sales and service.

Ordered a Nikon lens. Quick communication and stated it would ship in 2 days. Label created and was not picked up for 3 days (in China). Asked to cancel and they quickly provided a refund.

Everything went as planned.
Order on January 14 received January 29.
The only drawback is the power cable for the battery charger incompatible with the electrical plugs of Canada (Product from Asia) but not really a problem if you already have another Nikon charger.
Registration for warranty at Nikon Canada does not seem to have caused a problem.

Purchased a Fujifilm x-t5 online and I got it shipped to BC. Very happy with the deal. Took about 10 days. Saved me a lot of money. I would recommend this store.

This is a scam company. I purchased a Nikon z8 camera on Jan 5th. Website and order confirmation said it would be shipped in 2 days. No replies to my numerous emails as to when this would be shipped. Finally called my cc and reported that the item was not received on January 15… then finally an email asking me to allow the charge and they would ship the next day. BE AWARE!

The product I have acquired is of good quality. The service was good also.

This was my first purchase at York Lenses. I bought a Sony A7Cii. It was the best price online but I had never heard of York Lenses. I researched by looking at their website and checking reviews. Everything seemed ok but I learned that my purchase was a "grey market" purchase which I could appreciate but I was still nervous.

It would have helped if the website had better images of its physical store/warehouse as well as pictures of staff.

The process after I hit the order button was a little slow but may be due to the time of year or size of company. However when I did reach out via email, a response was returned promptly with useful information.

Please do not order from this store as it appears to be a scam site. Order placed Jan 7th and it is now Jan 13th with no communication. They do not respond to emails, help chat on the website does not work and they do not answer the phone. No call back after leaving a voice mail.

Update Jan 20th. Bumped to 2 stars for now, but will update further when order arrives.....Company did finally respond on Jan 15th saying the lens would be shipped out within 2 days. Received a tracking number Jan 20th with a delivery date of Jan 27th, but shipment is coming from Hong Kong. Buyer beware as the websites shipping policy is not accurate and you could be waiting awhile with minimal communication!

Update on Jan 24th. Lens arrived today and was authentic, box still sealed with factory tape. Happy I got my lens but was a stressful purchase. Revised rating to 3 stars due to communication issues and less than satisfactory purchase.

Scam store. Fake business - do not place any orders.

Ordered a sony camera from here because they only charge one tax, sadly the guy went completely dark on us. No email answers, no phone answers. Still hasn't shipped out/havent gotten any update/response in a week. Pretty sure this store/the other reviews on trustpilot are fake. Now i have to make a visa claim. DO NOT buy from here.

I searched various retailers for Sony RX100Vll camera via internet back in early December. Missed buying a used - 2 week old - at a very good price. Continued searching and York Lenses came up with a very large selection of cameras/lenses - but only in a very limited search (even via VPN)almost as if York was a secret source. Verified best I could re company/reputation. Very limited feedback. They responded slowly. Committed on Canada Boxing Day sale. Assumed camera was shipped from Canada. York Lenses sent confirmation quickly showing shipment from Hong Kong... I said to myself O'-'O what have I done.... York sent me FedEx tracing # but due to Xmas/New Year FedEx did not pick up until first Monday 2026 (HK time). Every time I sent email enquiry, York/FedEx responded quickly re delivery explanation. RESULT = camera arrived 3 days from HK in 100% condition. Registered with Sony so camera is not "grey market". My only "complaint" is that York Lenses has to "clarify" why/where they are doing business/shipping from to assure potential purchasers. Yes.... I would buy/recommend again based upon my experience. Perhaps indicate they use Shopify system for assurance.
