Extremely poor customer service with lack of communication
First of all,
The rental car has problem, halfway through the rental, the driver's window was stuck, and couldn't move up or down. Secondly, the battery for car key to start the car was low in power and couldn't be detected even when the key is physically in the car.
When I drove in to Apex to replace the car
The staff attended to us was tardy and nonchalant to us. She didn't communicate actively or clearly, leaving us wondering what is going to happen and what's the next step to the process.
Apparently, she told us that she will check in with the mechanics to see if the windows could be fixed, after which she told us that our car need to be changed.
After that, she just disappeared without updating us or providing ua with any info on what we are to dp or expect.
When she came back, she attended to other customers, despite us, still waiting for an hour plus. Apparently she just came back fron her lunch break, while we were left hungry, waiting for the replacement car.
In total we wait for more than an hour plus, and her attitude and service is totally atrocious, which is shocking, considering that Apex is rated no.1 customer service in NZ in 2024.
I am totally appalled and saddened by the experience. There was no apology given at all.
