Awful service, use Paypal
Ordered an item for delivery within 7 days. Actually took 6 weeks. I told Wickes I would be seeking a partial refund. They tried to close my support ticket because I hadn't updated in a while - because I had still been waiting for delivery! They said they don't do partial refunds but would offer me a £10 voucher as "goodwill". Fortunately I paid by Paypal so am using their dispute process instead.

Great tracking info
Parcel delivered on time with excellent tracking info. The website says how many deliveries there are that day, what number you are, and what number the driver is currently on, so you know if it's safe to go in the garden for 5 minutes.

Muppets. Not only delivered on a day they had been told not to because nobody was in, but had packed the van so that if a neighbour hadn't been able to take the delivery, they wouldn't have been able to get anything else off the van either! Still better than FedEx though, but who isn't?

The heroes of covid!
I have ordered way too much stuff since lockdown in March, a lot of it was delivered by DPD and their service has been excellent. I get a text message telling me the delivery slot so I don't have to worry all day, and it arrives within that window without fail. Well, once it was a minute early and I nearly missed it, but I'll allow that! They have never claimed it was out for delivery when it wasn't, and I think everything was delivered on the estimated day. Massively better service than most other delivery companies.
I had one problem I previously left a 3 star review for due to problems being very difficult resolve when they do occur, but since the vast majority of my experience has been good, they can have this one now because problems are so rare.

AWFUL service
AWFUL service. My "24 hour" delivery was due on Friday. It is currently Tuesday. They claim they tried to deliver yesterday (I was in) at 3:30pm. No delivery slot was given, I could not stand by the door all day, they might have tried while I was away from the door for 5 minutes within earshot of the doorbell. They did not ring it. They did not try a neighbour. They did not leave a card, and did not email me to say they weren't actually going to delivery it that day until 2 hours later. Their delivery reschedule link does not work, so they defaulted to assuming I don't want it today. I have no idea when it might actually arrive.
Update: managed to get in touch with customer service who assured me it would be delivered today. It was not. Do not use.

Took two calls to resolve my issue
Took two calls to resolve my issue. First phone operator was useless, hit a "computer says no" problem and refused to try passing it onto anyone else. One star.
Second one was excellent and worked out how to fix it. Five stars.
