As we say in Scotland: “Ya beauty. It’s a belter!” Our Tefal Steam Generator packed up. It was showing its age— much like its owner. We were about to Rest It In Peace when— the iron in a last burst of steam hissed:

“Try Repairing me “. Eureka. I thought, because of its faithful service over the years I’ll grant it its last request.

So looking at the Orbiturary columns on Google Bereavement I came across this website.

I filled in what needed done. The poor iron’s hose was flaying. The stop start button didn’t work.

Wonders of wonders I got a quote. I said to the iron “I’ve found a surgeon—not on the NHS they are too busy. Model 10000000 would be developed before he/she according to the judges could see you”

His silent cough and flicking blue light touched a nerve. I had to do something. I looked at my savings and decided to go private.

It was then Dr Google pointed me to his trusted surgeon Mr and Mrs Repair It and Resuse it. I filled in the paperwork and waited breathlessly for the quote. I had visions of me an OAP returning to work to pay for his surgery.

You will notice that I use gender liberally. We were never sure if he was a female or male— according to the Judges. But one thing was sure she was sterile. Why? Because no other irons were produced!😎


Anyway back to the story. The price was £51.00. I shouted to my beloved wife: “Ya beauty. It’s a belter. She’s been saved and I’ve seen the light”. Please no hate mail from a certain section of the population


We packed him off and Viola a few weeks later she returned brand new—No ribbon though. So the repairers must think he’s male, according to the Judges’ latest ruling.

The company had even repaired things we hadn’t mentioned.

And now she’s like an old locomotive steamer puffing away happily.

But a sad note. Before we sent him away we had bought a newer refurbished model. She’s quieter but doesn’t have the same charisma as the old yin.

So that we don’t appear to be prejudiced I use the old codger and my wife uses the new beauty. But we’ve decided to keep them apart for reasons of….

What would happen if they evolved and produced another steam generator? Would it cause consternations in the Houses of Parliament? Could it end up in the European Court? Where would we find the money?

So watch this space.

On a more serious note I hope this company doesn’t go out of business. And thank you all who helped the poor laddie or was it lassie. Your work is like an iceberg most of it unseen!

Wow do this first before you invest in any company especially cryptocurrency.

Had fallen fowl to a couple of charlatan cripto companies. “ A wise person learns from his and other people’s mistakes”

Before proceeding to make another Richter scale error I found my way to this company. Matthew demonstrated to me the importance of obtaining accurate information. The last thing you want to do is sue the wrong company.

So please get in touch with this company if you need serious relevant information or have questions about any company you plan to deal with.

They will help you get the balance right. Oh don’t say “I’ll bet they are not cheap”. Think about this: someone had to put countless hours to piece together all you need.

Fast delivery and good price and service

I can’t fault the medication or the service. There’s been a shortage of Probantheline since November 2023. The manufacturer said “ normal service” will resume in April 2024. This didn’t happen This medication is a lifeblood for hyperhidrosis sufferers

No tablets were available on the NHS. Suffers like me were forced to go to private pharmacies. But the tablets could only be dispensed after a consultation

I cannot fault the service but I feel that the pricing was exorbitant that’s I gave them 3 stars.

Thank you for the reply and for the explanation. I fully understand the financial implications. But although I wanted to give you 5# this would not have reflected on how I felt. To reiterate cannot fault my consultation or the sterling service I received!

Have you seen the latest update? These are lawyers etc who are supposed to know the law of contract. It would appear that now that there’s a possibility of success they are shifting the goalposts

Instead of taking 35% cap of fees if successful— which is a sizeable chunk if you consider the numbers— they want 50%. NO WONDER THE LEGAL PROFESSION HAS A BAD IMAGE IN THE EYES OF JOE BLOGS

We bought an anniversary present for our son and his wife. The courier failed to deliver it and to rub salt into the wound he insisted that he had delivered it. Bear in mind that our son was in the house when the delivery was allegedly made

To cut a long story short Robert Dyas intervened and sent another product. So all of us were pleased.

We all make mistakes and things can happen beyond our control. Companies are no different. Just as a genuine apology can mend broken relationships a company correcting matters even though they were not at fault is indeed commendable.

So buy with confidence from Robert Dyas. If things go wrong they’ll fix!

My wife and I bought an anniversary present from Robert Dyas. Ian claimed to have delivered it. My son who was in the house didn’t receive it. The present was definitely not delivered to the right address.

Needless to say my son and his wife are disappointed. If the situation is not resolved I’ll contact PayPal for a refund order a replacement from Argos and contact the Police as there’s been a crime.

I’m waiting to hear from the companies

Robert Dyas intervened and sent a replacement to our son and his wife. They’re over the moon with their present. Thanks Mr. Dyas! You’ve certainly retained a customer. Come on Tufnells try and reduce the negative reviews before it seriously damages your company!

Bought an iPhone 6s. Well worth it. Will buy again when upgrade is needed. The blurb said “cosmetic damage”. You’ll need to have a magnifying glass to see it. No cause for complaint

Things were fine until I tried to get in touch with them about my phone—which was still under warranty.

Phoned and emailed them—not a cheep. So be cautious as others have stated. If anything goes wrong and you want it corrected be prepared to be disappointed.

Just bought 2 samples and received 2 free samples with my order plus a hand written personal note—what a lovely touch. The delivery was excellent. This company will certainly be my first point of call if I’m looking for a niche fragrance. Well done Scent City. Feel free to buy with confidence

I ordered an electrical paint sprayer advertised on Go Groupie. Used it once. Went to use it again and the product didn’t work properly. I contacted the company. They fobbed me off. Why? They said product was out of its 30 day warranty. I said that this is an electrical product and I only got one use out of it.

I challenged them to have it independently examined as to whether I had abused the product. They refused my suggestion, saying that the product was now 90 days old.

I reiterated that there must have been something wrong with it as I only got one use out of it. Go Groupie have remained silent. I’m now relying on PayPal to help.

All I want is for the product to be repaired, replaced or my money refunded.
So please be careful with this company. They will not stand by their product. They will thus hint subtly that you are lying about the performance of their product

Wished I’d come to Trustpilot before I ordered from this company. The negative comments are not an exaggeration.

Appealed to PayPal and used chargeback option. PayPal looked into my issue and gave me a full refund—enough said.

Excellent shirts. I used to buy from their competitors. I feel such a “Twit” now. Usually I had to pay extra to have a pockets fitted on my shirts. All my Saville Row shirts came with pockets as standard. And that’s not all, they’ve not skimped on quality. I even procured a shirt with contrast stitching. Cannot fault the way that Kirsty dealt with my email. She was professional, courteous and friendly--a difficult thing to do when one is faceless. The plus point was that when she was dealing with my case she kept me in the loop. For example, she informed me that "..she is still looking into.." the matter and to give her time. This may seem trivial but it ensured that you were, or did not feel that you had either been not cut off or being ignored.
